My original Rezound i had flashed several different roms to it back and forth and started developing and issue with the vibrator in the phone. It would become sooooo weak that I couldn't even feel it anymore. I thought I messed something up internally, so i flashed it back to stock, and warrantied it. New one is worlds better and has been for many months. I've left it completely stock the whole time, and suddenly the last few weeks i've noticed the same issue. The vibrate function is getting weaker and weaker. Am I the only person experiencing this problem?

Switching the rom had nothing to do with it, sounds like you just got another defective phone.
I figured it wasn't a rom issue, just crappy that i got the same issue again with another phone. Was hoping this was something that I wasn't experiencing alone.
Time to call and see if they'll send me another!

I have this issue where my phone screen will randomly become unresponsive. To get it back all I have to do is shut the screen off and back on and the it will accept my input. The menu, home, back, and search buttons will still work just the screen wont respont to me touching it. It may happen several time in a few minutes. Then again i might go a day it only happen once. I dont recall this happening on unrooted 2.2.2 but Im not 100% sure. It does do it 2.3.3, 2.3.4, 2.3.5, and it has done it on Liberty, Eclipse, and Molten. If anyone else has run into this problem and has a way to fix it i sure would appreciate the help.
I have the same issue. Its a deffective screen. No matter what rom you are ob it will be there. And if your is like mine it was there on 2.2.2 unrooted.
Answer to it is getting a referb. But what i learned on referbs from moto (i went through 6 razr2 in one 1 hr never left the verizon store. One worse then the other) so if thats all your worring about then id say put up with it you could get one thats even more of a pos.
Its only annoying to me when it acts up while im typing a long txt or playing a game other then that its two presses and a swipe and all better (and mine happens at least 6 times a day everyday) consider yourself lucky you could have my pos dx2.

If mine did that more then once I would be in with Verizon getting a replacement...not a refurb. No way would I deal with a unresponsive screen but mine is only a few weeks old. If you deal with them right you might get a new phone out of it. The in store employees have always treated me well.
Over the course of 6 months back when I had my Samsung Rogue they exchanged it for a new one 3 times until I got a new one. After about a month or so it would start to randomly reboot.

I could never get it to reboot in there so I would explain the issue and politely suggest that I should switch to a different carrier since I cant depend on my phone and it worked every time.
I might go up to the store and see what they will do. At the worst im still stuck with the phone till I upgrade.
This sounds like a defective screen. You should look into getting a replacement.

Mine does this quite regularly, and I have issues typing sometimes because of this. It's incredibly aggravating, but I'm getting a GNex soon, so I'm not too worried about it anymore.

Shmooz them.with all the I love the network. Ut this screen just drives me nuts and blah blah. Then shmooz into you need a replacement cuz you've only had is x amount of days...then if they agree to it just bring up you know when I got this phone this other phone wasn't out and I would got that one. Instead of giving me a new one how about I just pay the difference with the upgrade cost like if I just upgraded now instead. I mean a sale is a sale and im just trying to have a good phone I don't trust this one not to brake again. Maybe throw in id hate to have to go to att or sprint for a good phone.

This phone is a replacement. My first x2 had an unfortunate accident at the river. This one wasn't stock for an hour before I was getting eclipse on it. So I was asking to be sure it couldn't be related to the things I had changed on my phone. If I had be certain of this yes I would have gone directly to Verizon.

One sure fire way to be certain is to sbf to stock. If the problem continues then you know its hardware related.

I have sbf multiple times since I've noticed it. It has done it every time, and every rom, even when i went and mixed and matched between a couple different roms. So from what I've heard it is deffinetly hardware related, which is why i asked. So to all of you who have helped me, a big thank you.
I've had this happen too. Not hardware related though. In my case it was caused by Launcher Pro. Switched to Go Launcher and haven't had a problem since. Might be something to look into if you use LP too.

Yep, happened to me, it came and went at first and then stayed there all the time. Took the phone to verizon and they replaced it.
That's the beats by dre working its magic. People that listen to hip hop don't hear the hissing and other noises because their eardrums are blown out from all the years of listening to crappy music. My phone does the same thing though. The whole beats thing is a real turn off from the HTC brand and I hope they do away with it.
It's a common problem as far as I can tell. Funny that I stumbled across this thread because the beats things was bothering me today. Can we please stop giving money to rappers and their overpriced bs products.

Mine only does this when playing music in the car using the stereo Jack and charging at the same time. Alternator noise.
I've heard about the charging in cars causing problems. Supposedly if you try different chargers or just remove the charger it'll work just fine.

It's gotten worse for me. I've tried different headphones and it only appears to be the "left" side. Even with the screen turned off it still has the same sound. I also tried turning all the radios off and it does not change. I'll downgrade back to stock Gingerbread (currently running one of the ICS leaks) and if the problem is still there then it's time to take it to VZW. At least it should be covered under warranty,
Happens to me too. But if I wiggle the cord it will go away. At least for now. No telling if that trick will continue to work in the future, but it works for me now.

I have this issue. I've contacted HTC twice already. The most recently last week. Same response, "we have an update coming soon, that will solve the issue" . For those of us running the latest radio/ICS know that their update isn't going to solve the problem. This issue is annoying me more and more lately, it's getting bad. I'm hesitant to return my phone for a warranty just cause I don't want a refurbished, I paid a lot of money for this phone... So, I have to deal with this? I haven't tried deleting beats with root explorer. Maybe I'll try that next.

I was on my way home from work and my son called. So I answered and was talking for about 2 mins, and right in the middle of our conversation I could hear my phone ring. I said hello Tyler are you still there then all of the sudden my mother in-law said hello. And my son was gone. It's like my phone randomly called someone. Plus my signal isn't very strong on the newest New leak. I also have had several dropped calls.

I have not tried the newest leak, but I flashed the one before that. I can tell you if you don't go through the ruu twice on that one, you can end up with a lot of bugs if you manage to even boot it. I have no idea if that is still necessary with the new leak, but it may help to flash it twice anyway.
Also, I have seen pretty good reviews regarding signal strength and the new radios..
I have not had those problems specifically with this leak but I HAVE had that calling issue if I don't hold the phone correctly, like if I hold it with my shoulder and try talking then the proximity sensor can enable the screen to come back on, then my ear presses a contact causing the phone to immediately dial.

So my girlfriend is still on her Tbolt. She's never wanted me to root it or anything so still stock. Anyway since the ics update the phone has become next to useless. She was complaining about it being slow, laggy etc. I thought she was exaggerating but after messing with it myself ya its really bad. Super slow to do anything and backup media force closes every few minutes.
Just curious if this is an isolated incident or if others have similar issues? I told her to try a factory reset but she doesn't want to do that yet.

My girlfriends phone apparently didn't take well to the update either. Hers never got FC's, but it froze a lot... especially on the lock screen. After a while, the screen started wigging out... it started scrolling around on its own and even made screen selections on its own.
Good thing I have a reliable source here that warned me about the ICS Goblins that come with the OTA and harass the user of the phone. I sent her phone in for an insurance claim and got her a new one and no more ICS Goblins harass her.
Disconnecktie, if you see this, thanks again!

Has anyone experienced issues with the screen sensor not responding well while on a call?
Sometimes if you lock the screen while on a call and you try to unlock it the screen with shut off as soon as you touch it and will remain on that behavior until the call is ended, therefore not letting you unlock the phone or perform any other activities on the phone.
Anyone?

It's funny because this is the 2nd HTC phone that I can report with this bug. I had the Evo 4G LTE before this one and it suffered the same issue even after all official updates.
The only solution with that phone was to flash a custom ROM which was good, but up to now I'm still on the fence about rooting this one; stock on this phone is stable and bloatware is minimal, I haven't justified taking the plunge yet.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
I'm with you there. I did root mine... but only for data restore purposes. It may sound crazy.. but I don't want SwiftKey to start over with learning my typing habits. Other than that, like you, this phone and my Nexus 4 are the only two phones that I have had no desire to install a custom ROM. Fingers crossed that there is a solution other than that.

Yes, happened with me quite a few times. Once a call is initiated (phone speaker on or off) and the screen goes black (due to proximity sensor), no amount of tinkering will bring it back until you press the power button which kills the call. It is damn annoying and am hoping there is a fix.
The phone is on 1.29 M7 TMobile ROM, rooted with S-OFF
I had that problem too on LG L7. Tried with various roms and nothing. But I fixed somehow with the app called "proximity actions". It lets you command your phone with hand suggestion via proximity sensor. I only installed it to check the hardware, wether the sensor works. I have no idea what happened, but it started to work again. The app somehow toggled the sensor and brought it back to life.

Not sure if all ROMs have the option but you can go in to the accessibility options and turn off power button ends call.

Never once has this happened to me. Bone stock.
Guess that's another reason I don't trust "IMAROM CHEFS!" ROMs that are "cooked up" on some random internet user's computer.
Stock is fine these days, IMO. Outgrew the glitchy nature of kitchen ROMs and such.

Been using ROMs for years and I've hand,y ups and downs, I can't say I've had a horrible experience with any ROM I've used on any of my past phones. Now I do agree with you about the stability of stock ROMs these days and also the better specs of the phone. For instance I haven't rooted nor unlocked my phone because I personally feel that the delivered product is good and haven't felt the necessity to tinker with it. The issue described is with stock, not custom ROM.
With that said or you haven't had the scenario for it to happen or your just the lucky one....
