So recently, this issue has appeared on my Hero. For some reason, I am not able to load webpages in the stock and many other web browsers , on 3G and WiFi. When I try to load website, the browser tries to load the page but it keeps loading forever and nothing actually happens.
This happens to the stock web browser, in-app browsers (e.g. when you authenticate Facebook, Google, ... in an app), a lot of browsers from the Play Store, ... The only browser which actually can load pages, is Opera Mini. I can stick with that, but I want to fix this issue because I can't e.g. authenticate Google Drive in Titanium Backup, authenticate Facebook in a Facebook app, ...
Does anyone know how to fix this? I really appreciate some help.

Just wondering if anyone else is getting this problem. It happens when I am when browsing the Marketplace, or just browsing the internet. I don't know how it happened but I think it was while i was downloading an app, but which app I don't know. I am running 2.1 on my streak which i just got. Anyone got a solution or facing the same problem?
Sorry bout posting in both general and here. But the yeah its just like a pop up on a computer. but instead of opening a new browser, it just re-directs you to this black screen with a play icon. Is there anyway to get rid of pop ups? or should i wipe the phone and re install 2.1?
eh? popup on streak.....bro, you need to stop trolling for porn while in McD's
Skyfire browser.
Wasn't during porn, haven't checked that out on the streak...yet. i'm 99% sure it was while i was downloading a soundboard app off of the market. I've googled it and it seems a few other people got the same problem but from downloading the dolphin browser, which i don't have.
You could try on of the android malware checkers or adfree from the market. Failing that a full wipe might be in order.
So I at first I downloaded Dolphin Mini and I liked it. After awhile I switched to the non-mini version because I wanted tl try it. But ever since then, every time I open either of them, my browser resets everything. And every time I open them, it starts the browser at the setup page that most browsers have when you first open them. I've tried uninstalling both and keeping one only, but still, every time it opens, all of my saved preferences are gone. Im stuck using the stock app which I dont enjoy!
This problem is also happening for me with Boat Mini and Boat full version. Skyfire too. I've tried deleting related folders via. ASTRO and always wiping data/uninstalling through Titanium back up but I have no luck. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hey everyone.
Im looking for an app that allows to save web pages for offline reading. I found Pocket, which has this function, but it seems to work sometimes and others it doesnt. Sometimes I open a downloaded web page when Im at bed to read it and it doesnt show up, maybe because it didnt download it correctly. Other times it seems it needs an internet connection to open the web page in web view.
I never use the article view. I always prefer the exact same web view.
Also I would need this app to have some sort of backup method, so I dont have to redownload all my web pages over and over again whenever I try a new ROM.
Any advice?
Thanks.

The Ocean browser in the Play store can save Web pages for reading offline.
Its not an app but there's a site called offliberty that can save a page for offline viewing through your browser. Never tried on a phone/tablet so idk if it'll work.
Stock AOSP Browser allows this.

I have used "web to pdf" to save a bunch of diy's from a car website. It works really well.

Hi,
for some reason I can not open youtube links with my youtube app anymore. It used to be like I was able to choose whether I would like to open the link with my brother or with youtube. Now for some reason I can only choose between Android Browser and Opera. Youtube option is gone. I have googled this problem and found a couple of people having the same issues but no solution. Can anyone of you help?
Things I tried:
erase Data from Browser, Opera, youtube, facebook. --> no changes.
None of the apps is running as standard app.

I had some problems with the Youtube app recently, it just said "an error occured" and in the logcat it mentioned something about not being able to authorize my account with google services. Turned out the latest version of the app is just crappy. Downgrading back to 4.1.47 fixed all issues for me.
I've rooted my G3 and have had issues with pages not displaying in full site views @ all (e.g. Accuweather) or incorrectly (e.g. Google Play) for some time now. I get "Server Error...Connection refused...Error 500" when trying to display pages in full site views in Chrome and Dolphin browsers. Other sites, like Google Play display incorrectly/wonky in full site and mobile views, meaning almost in a pure text view, no page search bar, etc. Also, I've noticed when going to the Weather Channel site, the page language displays English and Chinese/Japanese = odd. I've done a factory reset and still have this issue. I know this wasn't a problem before but I don't know if the rooting or use of of post root apps have done the damage. Right now, all I have are some basic rooted apps - ES File Manager, Cerberus, AdBlock Plus, SuperSU Pro, Titanium Pro, Webkey, Widgetroid, and Tasker. I've searched for answers and even went to LG for help, but nothing is resolving this issue. I'm @ a loss of what to do...anyone help, please?
What browser? I've had weirdness with the AOSP browser(s), never used Dolphin, Firefox, etc.
Chrome, both stable release and beta, work fine, altho I generally do not prefer full site view. If Chrome, perhaps try deleting Data then completely uninstall via Root Explorer / ES File Mgr by deleting the .apk in System/Apps, reboot, and download Chrome from Play Store.
It's the default browser with the phone, which is Chrome. I've tried Dolphin to see if it was Chrome and the same issues show up. It's odd that these problems didn't pop up until recently. I first noticed it when I tried to go from the Accuweather app to a detailed forecast via the app and noticed the full version webpage would not show. The more I looked into the issue, the more sites I noticed similar problems along with the newer issues mentioned.
Will the uninstall/reinstall create any issues since it's the default browser of the phone? I don't know if other parts of the ROM will falter when I try that fix.

Have you tried disabling the ad blocking? I have had problems (on a previous device) like this with certain ad blockers in place.
