hy everyone just a few day i update xperia ray with ics. after update i cant connect to laptop. i tried with all my friends pc as same problem cant connect .i tried with factory reset also same problem . i want to downgrade to gb but i cant connect to pc. help plz thanks

It might be a hardware problem, considering that you tried connecting on different PCs and reset.

try "factory data reset" from your phone settings and try again to connect to your pc ....

I am very new to android and dont know How to root and play with the roms and kernels...
Recently i have updated my lg p500 through lg update sfw i was successfully updated.. Now i am facing a problem i am not able to connect my phone with my pc.. its just getting charge and not getting connect. in phone some times i get usb symbol and it go off very soon.. it connect and disconnect very often, i dont understand what may be the problem.? im using the same usb cable and pc which i was using before update i was not faced and problem with froyo.
please guys kindly help me..... and im looking to root my phone help me to root.

there are many methods to root your phone......just search on the theard.....

Did you follow the instructions for the update process? What program are you using to update your phone? I suggest you use SUS (sony update service, download it from the official website here http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
The phone should be turned off. Follow carefully the instructions the program will give you.
Than report back if you have any other issue.

Is your laptop running on Windows XP? Because I am facing the same problem as well, so what I did, is run the update on Windows 7 PC.
Maybe you should try that

I download Sony update software and tried I still had the same problem so..
I formatted my laptop re- installed drives and then tried to update now there was no problem... now my x- ray is running on android 4.0.4

does you windows detect the phone? what does it show in the device manager when connected, lots of people had the same problem with a certain firmware where the phone couldnt connect to the PC by MTP method.
if you provide a little more information then we could be able to help you much more.
May be the problem is with ur os.. Try to connect ur phone to another pc.. I got the same problem.. After resetng my os everything went fine

Does it give you any error while connecting or what? Try on a different PC and also delete USB drivers in Device manager!

i need help in two issues with my xperia sola(ginger bread)
first one>> when i open any link on facebook app..redirection always causes so much advertisments..and u can never reach ur target after all..and u cant press back>>the only way is the "home button">>i tried all browsers and all antiviruses on the market and non worked...i made factory reset many times..but problem persists...
second issue is that my pc cant recognize my phone..tried diffrent cables and ports..tried MTP app data clear..tried usb debugging on and off..tried msc and mtp mode,,,tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything...i want to connect to pc so i can repair my software..
help please i am helpless
