[Q] Issue with camera app - Motorola Photon 4G

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm having some trouble with the camera/gallery app that cam in the PACman rom that Th3Bill posted. I have the most updated version of the ROM, v18.0.
My problem is that I cannot, for the life of me, find the setting that force the camera to save new photos to the external SD card. At all.
I have checked the settings for the camera itself, the settings in gallery and all the system settings I could find.
Any help (from someone running this ROM) would be appreciated.

You can try to use the internal memory as the external card and the your pictures will be saved there. Change it somewhere on settings, like "use internal memory" or something. I'm using Cyanmobile so I don't know exactly

[Q] FC when adding photos to album

Does anyone else experience a force close of the Gallery when they attempt to add a photo to an album? I.E - Gallery.. Pick a picture.. Menu.. Add to album.
Thanks,
Rick
I am having force close issues and problems saving pictures when I was saving to my SD card. I switched to internal storage and everything is now fixed.

Could it be the sd Card? What card do you have?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I am having this issue. Has anyone found a fix?
I have tried, moving pics over to internal storage, formatting sd card and moving back, and even taking a new picture. So far no luck
I never found a fix, and MR5 did not appear to fix the problem either.. This happens if my photos are stored on internal memory, or on a card..
guess I will hit the motor phoroms in the morning. Thanks for the update.
Just wanted to update this. I also ran into the issue of not being able to record videos as well, or them being deleted if it did record.
A few hard resets later and i found a work around. Hard reset and clear cache, and only add your google account. then open the camera and set up the sd card etc. then go into gallery and add a pic and make an album. After that is should work. I am not sure if it the camera not searching the sd card or adding facebook that causes it, but this is what has worked for me on 3 occasions now.

[Q] CM7 - Videos and Photos not saving on external SD

Have looked around, and can't find out much. I know the SGS2 has peculiarities when it comes to the internal and external storage while using CM7. Is there a way to have photos/ vids taken with the camera on the phone saved directly to the external sd storage?
If it's a simple UI setting, then god forgive my ignorance.

I doubt it right now at least. I haven't actually tried it on my SGS2 but I know on my captivate running CM7 I got into the habit of using root explorer every day/week whenever I had pics/videos that I wanted to move to the emmc just in case I ever had to do a full wipe or anything. Never had to actually format ever on my captivate but once you get in the habit it is not too bad.

Think I got it:
settings>cm settings>application>use internal storage
If checked, it appears to use the external sd card. if unchecked (default), it uses internal sd card. sammy sure likes to make things confusing.
If you open the camera app and click the gear icon for settings, then swipe up on the settings to scroll down (took me forever to figure out there were more settings below the fold) you will find a setting called "Storage". Change it from "Phone" to "Memory Card" and photos will save on your external_sd.

We don't have that option in CM7, which the OP said he is running. It should work with the settings be changed though.

cyanogenmod 10.1 camera problem

recently I installed cm10.1 on my HTC sensation
I have problem with camera, when I take more the 2 pictures my phone just turn off. It doesn't metter if I usse stock cammera apk or zoom fix, camera fx etc
does anybody have the same problem and is there solution for that?
I have a similar problem. It's been about a week since I installed 10.1 STABLE on my SGS3. Every time I load the stock camera app my phone locks up after just a few seconds and auto restarts. I don't even have time to take a picture. I downloaded a new camera app however, and I am able to take pictures.
I do have the storage set to my external sd card. I thought that was the problem but if another camera app works then that wouldn't make sense.
Like I mentioned above, I have the AT&T SGS3, rooted, with stock CM 10.1 Stable and no extra themes or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: The above did work but when I went to the gallery to look at the picture, it was stored on the phone. Then, when I went back to the camera and changed the storage location back to external sd card it started locking up again. The other camera app is able to save to the external card just fine. So there must be some issue with the stock app saving to an external sd card.

Its most likely the rom this happens a lot when its a Stock android. its because the htc drivers for the camera aren't installed when you get another rom its quite hard to get it right.

[Q] Swap Internal and External Storage on AOKP ROM

I am running AOKPMilestone 2 on my galaxy note 2. Love it and the ribbons are the reason why I can't leave this app. The only thing I can't seem to find is a way to swap the internal and external storage. I take a lot of pictures and use the Focal camera from CM. By default it saves pictures to the internal memory. I am running out of room and want to utilize my 64gb microSD card. I've seen and tried many swap methods but none of them work for AOKP. Does anyone know of a working method for AOKP users?
I do believe there is another way around this though. Is there a way to choose the storage location per app on a rooted device?
Thank you all for your help!

Deleting Pictures from SD Card is not Possible with third party gallery Apps?

Hey guys,
ive been using custom roms for a long time, now on the xiaomi redmi note 3 i experience a strange thing deleting pictures on my micro sd card.
using stock camera and gallery app, everything is totally fine, i can take pictures and delete them.
with other gallery apps like quickpic and sony album the pictures wont be deleted on the sd card, the thumbnail inside the app is gone but when i look with solid explorer the original file remains on the sd. when i set storage for pictures to internal storage those apps can delete the pictures without any problem.
is there any workaround? i would like to stay as stock as possible, so i dont wont to use bloat gallery apps from the playstore...
anybody has a solution for me?
roms where there problem exists for me:
MM RR 5.7.4.
Nougat RR 5.8.2
