I downloaded the new Sky Sports TV app on my s3 and disabled root via SuperSU, but it wouldn't work for me because of root. I also tried OTA rootkeeper, but it still wouldn't work.
I also tried these methods on the Sky Go app with success, but, since I'm not a sky subscriber, that didn't help me.
I badly want to watch Sky Sports on my phone for the giver a month, but I need help to figure out how to get around the root issue.
The first person to help me fix this will earn a brand new, in box, thank you from me!

You mentioned you got sky go working on rooted s3, care to explain as I've tried but no luck.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I've only used the disable root in supersu or ota rootkeeper. I can't remember which worked out whether it required a reboot, but one of those definitely did the trick.

Btw - as a temporary workaround, does anyone know a way of booting stock unrooted from the sd card?

Right now I just have root using The torpedo method through TE because my laptop is dead. Gonna go buy another one today and was thinking about using it to be able to get into and real recovery and then being able to flash the 1.4 kernal just to try.
but I don't want to have to reinstall everything on my phone once I do this so I'm just wondering if i have a backup from bootstrap would I be able tto use that once I root using another method?

There was a guy on here who had to exchange his phone for a new one and when he loaded his backup from his old phone it bricked the new one (I think). I don't know for sure but I wouldn't advise it.

Hmm that sucks. Thanks for the info. Glad I asked first.

Hey everyone I just rooted and went to setup Google wallet it's telling me it's now unsupported since I'm rooted.
Any ideas? Or workarounds?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
Did you get the unsupported device banner? I got that banner on my rooted Nexus but Google wallet still worked at check outs.
Yes it says unsupported along top. I'll try setting it up anyhow.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
Ya it should still work, least mine did. Used at mcdonalds and 711 even with the banner on display.
i read over in the EvoLTE forum that before you root you need to clear the data for google wallet IN THE APP (not with TB or anything else). And you have to do so every time you flash something. If you don't it is no longer secure
if you get the pop up saying the secure element is broken or something then google wallet is fried forever on that device. your not supposed to use google wallet and be rooted. i rooted and unlocked my galaxy nexus right when i got it and when i tried wallet i lost my 50 dollar credit and wallet access.

I have a galaxy Nexus and I know all about wallet. If you setup your Google Wallet on your device, even every time you load a new rom you have to clear Google wallet from within the actual wallet app. Open gw, then go to settings, then clear Google wallet data

it looks like some things will... but anything that requires it to be secure won't
Thanks to all that were knowledgeable on the situation and the OP for bringing this possibility to my attention by juststarting the post. Good thing root didn't break it.

if you haven't set it up I think you'll be ok. So people might wanna wait to set it up
I can confirm that Wallet still works even with the "unsupported device" at the top. Google just bought me Gatorade from 7 eleven.

So wait I am confused here. If I used the normal root procedure using odin, but already had it set up I can't use Google Wallet for secure transactions anymore ever, or is it just when I flash new ROM's? If I borked it when I rooted it, it would have been nice to have had that disclaimer on the root thread telling people to do this before rooting.

Is there a recovery already on your device? If there is and you have an sdcard try moving the root files to that card with a friends phone or something. If there isn't then you might be out of luck. Keep searching I'm sure there's something you can do.

Is there ANYTHING for this phone at all?
Sent from my N9810 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, I have the same phone, but I cannot find ANYTHING about it. It has so much bloatware, and I need to root out to get rid of it, but i can't find any successful methods.

This is the root method page actually. Its the discussion about this phone. But the method is for the xperia I think.

Okay so me and my buddy rooted his zte supreme all went well then he froze some system apps and installed a few to many fonts now we are stuck in a boot loop. I'm not all that new to android and adb but I can't get it out of this. I was wondering if there was any way to completely while the device to a blank canvas and start over I don't care if the phone can be used as a phone anymore, I will be satisfied with just wifi. I have a stock boot img system img and recovery. But everything I do in adb ends up with a fail. When I boot my device all I get is a flashing android word. Is there anything at all I can do?
Sent from my SCH-I510 using xda app-developers app
I would recommend if you can bring up recovery doing a system reset and that should cut everything out. But if you have no recovery loading the phone up with the boot.img you have will have to be done without the sim card in.
Sent from my N9810 using xda app-developers app
So im thinking if the root method for the Xperia L works for this phone maybe the roms will work with a modified resolution and stock kernel.

I noticed this is a ZTE supreme forum so maybe you guys can help.
I got a notification of an update for my phone last night. I said yes not thinking anything of it and after it updated the phone stopped working, It won't connect to the virgin network. Cant open camera. It freezes everytime I try to go to an app and it just goes slow. Also restarts sometimes. What can I do?
Help, I'm a n00b
I have had my zte supreme for about 6-7 months now, and i plan on buying a new phone in 6-7 months, so I'm at the 1/2 way point with my phone. I want to root my phone and put android 4.4 on it. If anyone could lay out the exact steps that i could do, that'd be nice.
I just rooted back with Kingo no problem at all very easy to do. ( TO let everyone know last night my go stuck firmware update had to take phone to best buy so they Samsung tech could reboot galaxy note 3) i wish i could have taken a screen shot picture of the phone with triangle in middle computer symbol on the end.

Kingo root has been classified as malicious by XDA. It apparently steals imei and other personal info from devices and sends it to their servers
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
I guess you have missed the discussion. Kingo and vroot are not recommended applications for rooting your phone *according to XDA mods*. There has been quite a word about if Kingo is malware from China. Just be careful.

Thank you
Un rooted and remove from device
You didn't need to unroot. The data is apparently sent during the exploit with no residual malware. One you rooted, it was done.

Looks like this thread has run it's course.
Kingo is working on a revision to resolve the concerns XDA has.
