i thought in make multi users in my phone but its work ?
if its work i need to know the roms thats can i make multi users on it

if you tried to install it twice it would just replace the app with the newest apk or not let you if you done it through the Google play store. also what's app is locked to one phone number

you need to take original apk and mod name or something like that to make it appear as different app, the install...should be simple u just gotta get to know apks

you probably just need to mod the manifest and change the package name

The new market is much much better looking than the old one.
Here is the link to the .apk file of the market. Just download and install it as any other app.

If you're having problems after installing it (I did not have any problem) or you don't like it. Goto Settings>>Applications>>from the upper tab choose All App>>go to market app and click on Uninstall updates. This should get you back to the old Market.

question : 1. this release of android market stops the update process if installed on stock 2.3.3GB?
2. Android market will auto-update to this new version or it is available only for some countries? I live in Romania for example.

This update will be rolled out to all countries and has been released in very few countries (I think only some carriers in US and Canada).
Regarding your first question, I don't think so, but you can never be sure until the next update is released.

Im using Mik_os's CM7, I know I need to flash the gapps to set up an account so I assume Im answering my own question, but with just installing this new market apk, it asked me to set up an account but didnt take me to set up an account just went to the homescreen, do I need to install gapps for cm7 than use this new apk as an updater ?
Works fine, but I see (?) Japanese text in app info tab for some apps (eg. Facebook app). But, my system language settings is english. Will be difficult to know about the app.

Hey everyone I installed the Rom KA09 it's mot bad. However, many apps are missing like the map app and others but it's ok cuz I can download them from the market. but the backup & Restore app that comes in ICS is gone and I don't know how to get it back since it's a build in app and its not in Google play. Can anybody upload or send me the apk file?

I have a beta build of an app and a stable build of an app and I am trying to get them to install together. Right now I have the beta build installed and I tried editing the AndroidManifest.xml with apktool. It rebuilt the edited version but still asked to replace the existing one. If anyone could help or possibly do it for me I wouldn't be able to thank you enough!

I did that and it didn't work
I found a much simpler way, this app called switchme. It allows you to create separate user environments like on a linux desktop and you can install completely different apps with no interference
Alright well I was on gingersnap LG 2.0 rom and now I'm back on gingerdx. I'm having problems downloading certain apps like the pro version of this app even though I used the pro version on gingersnap...I actually had to use a blackmarket app to download minimalistic text and now I am having problems trying to download recast weather on gingerdx..If I had solutions I wouldn't be asking. Is there a patch I flash with cwm that will allow me to download apps and take away that annoying your device isn't compatiable with this version error message on Google play store...

Edit: after alittle soul searching I found what I needed....
I had to backup original version,that being 3.18.x than copy 3.15.x set permissions reboot. I no longer have that compatible device issue...moderator,delete thread please

Is the one you gave me the same one, but appears different on my phone because I'm running CM?
Ah....I don't think the stock mms apk will work on CM as the apk needs the touchwiz framework in order to function.....

Touchwiz is the Samsung launcher. It is what gives Samsung phones their look and feel....the user framework of the device. Porting parts of that framework to non Samsung ROMs simply will not work.......
As an alternative, you could look for apps in the themes and apps section for an app which has been made to look like 'stock' but which functions on a non stock ROM......
Or....
You could go for a whole new ROM..... one of the 'hybrid' ones.....a stock based ROM but without the bloat and with aosp/aokp functionality. I've used two and am still using one of them....chamelion and aliance.....I'm not going to recommend either as that's against XDA rules, but both of them will let you download themes and tweaks that let you customize the look of the base ROM so that it can resemble (or not) the full stock package........
