mate, nobody answered my question neither, everybody just "lol'd" and told me to go to menu settings sound. as i tild them no setting there for me, they reamined silent as most wiseguys do - the funny thing is most smartasses were on Gingerbread, LOL
anyway - here is the solution which worked for me on Deep-Core Infusion rom (XXLP6 pure ICS):
the setting ur looking for is NOT under sound but in the quick settings which you can pull from above down. you touch multiple times the sound icon, it will change to silent - vibrate and *finally* vibrate/sound.
thank a lot.. im asked ths question many of thm but no1 give ans.. thanks
[I have the same problem but with mine didn't work your suggestion!
If you know something new please share with me.
tks.

How to turn ON vibration only for voice calls ?

I really dont get those idiots at Sony, why cant I have vibration only for calls and not for SMS and e-mails ? There are options like never, always, with sound and without sound but there is no separate option for notification vibration ! I actually want to turn off vibration for Viber because those developers dont care about customers requests at all, there is that stupid notification when you receive new message even when you write a reply and of course, not a word about different notification or vibration ON/OFF in Viber settings, bravo for those dudes.
So, my question is, can I somehow leave vibration for calls and turn it off for notifications ? Galaxy S II has that, are they so much smarter than Sony people ? I would expect that kind of stupidity on iPhone but this should be a lot more customizable platform and I can tell after 6 months with Galaxy S II that Samsung could be the king of Androids, this Sony has a few things that I cannot believe that they have it released without it.
Tnx
You can disable sms vibration from sms settings and for emails

I think you could use Lightflow to do that.
I am using Lightflow to create my own notifications (led color, speed, sound, vibration (and patterns). Works very well!
Please dont make jokes I have one thread in Apps department saying that Lightflow does not work on my phone :-/ Can you tell me step-by-step how to install this app ? I have installed it, gave it acessibility and test works but for notification I get default color and sound. I have no root and my bootloader is not unlocked.
Tnx
(Please note: I have rooted my phone since the beginning and never tried Lightflow without root! But ofcourse you can just try the following steps. I hope it works for you!)
What I did to configure lightflow:
- Install Lightflow, very simple from Google Play;
- Enable it in Accessibility;
- Turn off vibration completely in the phone settings menu > sounds;
- Turn off default tones in the phone settings menu > sounds;
- Open Lightflow, choose the program and the way you want to let it notify you.
Works perfect!
Thanks a lot, now I think that it works, I needed to make factory reset of the phones settings and that what you have said, I have no root. BUT this damn Viber still has his default vibration and sound, is there a way to disable his notification and use LightFlow ?
Tnx

impossible to put on silent mode

Hi all, just bought an S3 to replace my old LG 2x, I have a annoying problem on my S3. I'm a teacher so I want my phone to be completely on silent mode while in class but I noticed that notifications seem to keep on giving a sound whilst on silent or vibrate mode. I tried to change in the settings but no luck ? Is there a way to avoid this ?

open numberpad and long press "#" to switch to silent mode..there are lot of shortcuts to do this...there is a toggle in notification shortcuts also...I believe there is something you are not doing right in settings...!

I know the shortcuts, but in the settings is it possible to set the preferences for the different profiles ? Can't find them ...
Just checked again and when on vibrate or silent mode i keep getting notification sound when receiving text message or email. If i change in settings f.ex. all sounds off and switch to normal mode i get no sound. .. is it hardware related ?

Found several owners on the net who have the same issue. I installed an app "easy sound widget" and that does the trick. Strange that many owners have this and that Samsung overlooked such a basic setting...

[HELP] [ROM][ICS] Touchwi3 ROM Build 8 [UPDATE/ODEXED]

Hi everyone I'm new on this forum. I'd had posted the question on the ROM's own topic but I can't because it says I have to send something like 10 or more posts in general discussions. I have a few litte problems with this amazing rom that makes my Galaxy W work at the speed of light
1. The vibration with sound doesn't work, I don't know why..also checked vibration always.
2. I noticed that the wifi and data buttons on the notification bar doesn't work, I tried to click on them but nothing happens. The only way to active and deactive the mobile data is on the options. Wifi seems not working instead, also if I go on the options it seems to be locked, the switch ON/OFF is of a dark grey and I cant use it.
3. Is there a way to lock the notification bar while the phone is on the lock screen ? That's because I noticed that you can use the notification bar also with locked phone and I don't like it much.
Thanks for help in advance
P.S: sorry if my english isn't that good
UP please anyone help
I know it's a bit annoying to keep posting but I need help please

Question Vibrate options?

Ok my phone is pretty much always on vibrate.
but when my phone is just sitting on my desk or in my pocket, i git only a blip of vibrate to notify me, and thats it.
i miss a lot of messages due to the fact that this phones vibrate function is terrible, i need to know how to increase intensisity or increase the length of notification vibrate.
I tried a few Notifier apps but none have help.
let me know what you recommend in app or workaround
let me know please

Greetings, rinnycoop121.
Have you used BuzzKill before? It's the only app that can efficiently perform your job (It can assist with notification vibration duration, and in theory, that may help with the intensity of the notification vibration).
Here is a rundown of how it works:
You create a rule in the BuzzKill app, and it provides you with an outline in the form of "When I get a notification from any app that contains anything, then do nothing"
any app
You can select as many apps as you want impacted
anything
You can filter by words/phrases, images/phone numbers/languages, and you can create your own complex filters
nothing
There's a variety of actions (Cooldown, Mute, Remind me, Alarm, Speak, Unsilence, Snooze, Batch, Secret, Custom alert, Sticky, Keep if, Dismiss, Undo dismiss, Reply, Press button, Open notification, Copy verification code, Set ringer, Remove from history, Trigger Tasker), but the one I think best suited for you is "Custom alert"
"Custom alert" gives you an outline in the form of "When I get a notification from any app that contains anything, then custom alert with default vibration and default sound
any app
You can select as many apps as you want impacted
default vibration
You can build a vibration pattern (Add buzzes, gaps)
You can make your vibration pattern as long or as short as you want
default sound
You can select the sound that you want emitted from your device
I'm convinced that BuzzKill will assist you in circumventing the OnePlus Nord N200's notification/vibration limits (Or any other Android device for that matter). Regardless, let me know what you think rinnycoop121.
