yup wiped for few times but still not working
and its strange that es explorer is working but root explorer is not
i would like to have root explorer as es is not user friendly to me
Sorry I can not help you with the data issue. At least I can help you completing the 10 messages you need, to ask directly in the rom thread. Why don you like "es explorer"? It can change permission and also has a file editor, very user friendly.

i dont know i just feel uncomfortable to use it ,files are not located as i used to see
i think i really need to get use to it
I also had some problems with mobile data in this rom! After installing it, everything worked. I activated the stamina power saving mode in the settings which disables mobile data as soon the screen is off. When i switch on the screen again, the mobile data will not work anymore. Enabling and disabling the flight mode does not work as well only a fress reboot will solve this issue.
Is there a problem with the power saving modes in the settings? Did anybody else experience this problems?

From my understanding wifisharing is for using usb tethering. Litepro is currently creating a zip with this application so it can be put back for people that tend to use it.
Ok thanks
But now, I have some noob questions...
What is exactly "usb tethering" ?
Another noob question I guess : I already have 1.4 on my phone,
Do I need to wipe all data before flashing ? Or juste flash will work and I won't loose my data ?
Thanks for your answer

USB Tethering is so you can use the data connection on your phone for say your laptop. No need to wipe the data, just flash 1.5 straight over the top. I have just installed 1.5 and i can't go to settings/manage applications without getting a Force close error.

May I wait before flashing ? Because if you get some force close...
Do you think you have this force close because of not wiping before flashing ?

It appears that this is a common problem on the 1.5 firmware at the moment.Alot of people are getting force close errors. I would hold off upgrading for now if i was you. I have gone back to KE7 for now.

Ok thanks for the advise
I'll wait for an upgrade
LitePro is aware of the FC-Problem and will Fix it...so wait for a new Version befor flashing ... I will wait too
from what i understand the "wifi sharing" that has been removed is the one that only the samsung apps use. NOT the actual wifi sharing through android... eg. hotspot. As i am able to freeze wifisharing and wifi sharing manager through titanium backup and can still usb tether and wifi hotspot.

Not on my phone because that's a samsung app.
EDIT: But I don't know how litepro has disabled it. If he has just frozen/deleted it outright then all keis probably won't work. Unless he's found some way of disabling it except for kies.

I just flashed this ROM but the only issue is that after I install the 2nd HotFix, it doesn't show any ICS layout changes.
I don't understand why.
Anyone got an idea?
i had the same issue, so i reflashed everything again(including the wipe and cache wiping) without flashing hotfix2 for the second time. and it worked
Worth it?

I have set up everything already and all. Is it worth it to do all that again? Does it have the ICS theme?

for me, the theme started working properly after doing a second install, just did the steps over again and it worked pretty well for me. i don't know how or why, but it worked for me, also note that i didn't install the hotfix 2 on the second install.
The ROM has been updated to v1.2.4, so maybe worth giving that a try?

Hi, If you refering when you first time using that ROM, the "power option" still there but after few days/months, the options are gone.....Probably lies on
1)Framework related (Not intergrated permanently/completely to System) or
2)Temporary coding support effect wear off (which may last for few days/months).
Quite Similar to "Xloud/BRAVIA support lost" in certain ROMs, they could be gone from settings just after few days flashed certain ROMs
Normally these problems (yours may included) can be treated by reflashing ROMs/Framework related update-zip. Please note that once again, reflashing ROM zip will wipe all your Users and System Data. If problem still happening, please PM your ROM developer about your case for seeking best suggestions and solutions. Providing screenshot will be also helpful for developer to understand your situation. Hope helps. TQ

Sometimes it happens when you mess around with custom ROMS.. my advise is instal the ROM again with full wipe and formatting the MMC.. Solves the issue pretty easy..

Ok, so here's the deal.
After I updated my s3 to Jelly Bean, the following problem started to appear:
Sometimes when WiFi turns off either manually or automatically (I have Tasker which turns off WiFi when screen goes off), WiFi gets stuck at "Turning off..." and doesn't react on any actions.
The switcher gets greyed out and I can do nothing about it. The only way to troubleshot it is to restart the device. Once restarted, everything works fine, but, as you already guessed, it works not for too long. =)
It all depends how lucky I'm. Sometimes the phone can work the whole day without causing the glitch, when I'm not that lucky I have to restart the phone a couple of times during the day. <- really annoying.
The phone is rooted with Galaxy S3 Toolkit by flashing an insecure boot image.
I tried to do factory reset but problem still remained.
I have attached a few screenshots as a proof as well as a screenshot showcasing my phone's firmware specs.
Any ideas or help will be appreciated.
I would blame Tasker try uninstalling and test .

Thanks for the reply. But it seems like this is not the problem with Tasker. As I stated in my previous post, I did factory reset my phone and the problem still remained, though no third-party apps were installed other than those that came stock.
I can reproduce the bug very easily: all I need to do is to turn my WiFi on using the icon under notifications bar and then, once it gets turned on, quickly tap the icon again to turn WiFi off. At that point WiFi gets stuck.

What date is your kernel - August ? If you have a late build of JB the stock JB on my S3 had a kernel build from 19th October.
You may need to just flash back a later stock boot image you will retain root.
Fixed things for me - just extract the boot.image from a full stock rom and use the toolkit to create a flashable tar should fix your problem and improve the battery life

Did as you suggested, tested it a bit and everything works like a charm. The problem is gone, plus I now see more RAM in the Task Manager (this was another issue I was thinking about), and the whole phone seems a bit smoother (maybe this is a placebo effect, dunno).
So thank you very much and you have my appreciation.

Could this perhaps be brought to attention again please?
How exactly did you fix it and did it involve losing any data?
NVM: Just download and flash Siyah. Probably the easiest fix.

I don't know about Siyah - I simply took a stock kernel, prepared it with the toolkit and flashed it with Odin. This was pretty easy and it worked.
Hope this post helps.
This is the ONLY thread you guys will talk about the CrDroid ROM.
DONT post questions or whatever at the other leaked AOSP ROM thread else it'll create much confusion
So far annoyances thats been reported are:
• Random reboots (at least for some people)
• Auto-brightness
• Underclocked CPU
• Not working HDR & Panaroma (solved with workaround)

Regarding Random Reboots !
I have been using the ROM since yesterday though i have yet not observed a single reboot . I have tried following things as suggested in AOSP thread however it does not give me a reboot. Auto Brightness is the only lingering issue i faced !
Any pointers to reproduce the reboots ?

Done... Flashing went ok but after booting all my apps are gone (I didnt do a clean wipe while flashing.. only wiped dalvik)
The apps are gone anyway.. so i went back to recovery and did another clean flash.. Reboot the phone, but no mobile network. Unable to latch on to network even manually.. so may be there is something missing in the boot.img ?
Back key
Anyone can confirm back key in this rom didnt behave as it should after deleting pre-install files such as baidu services apps
edit 1 - looks like it has been warned by the dev as do not delete keyboard input method or else back button wont work..
Where is the link to the ROM. I'd update OP. Also, is there any bugs with the ROM? Or is it working like AOSP?
