You cannot port features from a Touchwiz rom to an aosp rom because they require the TW framework to function.

I wonder if a seperate zip file for halo from paranoid Android exist, so it's possible to flash it on other roms?
Tested slimbeam lately and it's great, however I really miss the halo feature there...

You can get halo on any ROM by using xposed framework

I am sure I am being overly technical and probably a typo on your part, but Slim rom is not 4.1.2 and dark is not a gapps option, but an option in the rom itself.
There is also a website for Team Blackout which provides app that are blacked out.

Dark was not built into this build of slim rom and I am running 4.1.2 it's an older version of slim
