Torrent file problem?? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have Ttorrent Pro and whenever I go to a torrent site and click the "download" icon, the torrent file doesnt go directly to Ttorrent, rather it just says downloading file in the notification bar and then says complete a second later. How can I get the torrent file to go straight to Ttorrent?
Thanks for your time!!!!!

[Q] web browser file downloads to sdcard

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find a browser that will allow me to download files to my SD card but I'm having no luck finding one. Opera allows downloads, but there is no way to make it download in \sdcard-ext\ it only DLs to the phone memory which is no good for large files.
How can I download files to the \sdcard-ext\ folder?
thx
David
I usually don't bump my own threads but...
Are there any Atrix users out there that know how to download a file via web browser to the removable sdcard?
Dolphin Browser HD
Just set your download directory in settings to the correct path (sdcard-ext instead of sdcard)
Yup Dolphin lets you set the DL dir to anything you want which is great, but I have trouble getting Dolphin to DL from many web sites, specifically ulozto.cz which is a Czech movie file sharing site.
To see what I mean do this:
1. Using Dolphin, go to ulozto.cz
2. Search for "bastardi"
3. click "stahnout" (which means download)
4. type in the 4 letter captcha code to start DL
...the download never starts w/Dolphin. By the way this site does work w/Opera, but Opera can DL to sdcard-ext...
thanks anyway and if you have any more ideas I'd love to hear them...
I'm having this issue myself. When I try downloading a large file after a while I get a error "source could not be found". Smaller files will download sometimes sometimes they wont. Any reason why downloading to a pre installed SD doesn't seem to work? I set up dolphin HD to my extra SD. Seems to work but have yet to download a large file.
This app will let you download whatever you want:

Thanks, I'll try it tonight...
The app "Download All Files" did not work for me. Did you try it on the website I listed above?

[Q] Downloading files wrong/ corrupt?

Whenever I download a file from file hosting sites like filesonic or megaupload, the browser always downloads a .htm file and not the one I wanted like a .rar file. And only like 30kb is in the .htm file. Any way to correct this?

Are you sure you're clicking the correct links?
Its a browser issue. I usually copy my links into firefox nightly to download them correctly.
I'm still looking for a download manager to handle this. Gonna test out jdownloader later today.

[Q] Where are my files

Ive tried using file manager to navigate to my dropbox folder but i cant find it. Anyone have any ideas?
I had to hunt around for it myself...
/sdcard/Android/data/com.dropbox.android/files/scratch
Thanks. It was weird, I downloaded a nes rom and when I clicked it in dropbox it said "there is no program to open this app". I tried it again later and it placed the file in the location you stated.

Downloads from some file hosters not working

Am I the only one who has trouble downloading from, for example, uploaded or depositfiles? Cant do it. In uploaded, a file with a few kbs is downloaded instead of the real file and in depositfiles the download doesn't even start... Tried dolphin and native broswer with same results...
Use Opera or Firefox. Filehosters are fags.

How to force download manager from playstore to take over download

I have the IDM app but I cant find a way to force it to take over downloads. I use dolphin browser and every time I download something either the stock download manager or dolphins download manager takes over. Is there a way to make another download manager take over the download?
You could Try copying the download URL and then pasting it into the Downloads Manager and trying that way mate. Or try the download through stock browser to see if IDM kicks in
Hope This Helps

maybe the IDM only works when you enter the URL and for everything else like file sharing and stuff wont work since the download itself launches either the stock download manager or browser's, maybe you could try a forcing the download thru IDM via ADB or try freezing stock download manager in TB maybe that could work, also there should be a root download manager that takes over all downloads on the phone.
hope i shed some light
Download Manager missing
