I'm got everything working on tmobile on my Verizon note 2 but data is spotty is there any modern I can flash to better my situation or even get Lte

Did you follow the guide to unlocking your phone for use on other networks? If so did you add all the APN's for T-Mobile?
I highly doubt you will get LTE in T-Mobile unless you live in one of the 8 cities they're testing it out in which are:
Denver
Las Vegas
Kansas City
New Orleans
New York
San Diego
San Jose
Seattle
If you live in one of those cities then it is possible you could get LTE through T-Mobile if the VZW Note 2 has the correct radios that can work on T-Mobiles LTE bands.
My best advice is that you should post in the thread that has the instructions for unlocking for user on other networks. It depends on how you unlocked the phone to use it on other networks, what APN's you've added and if there are others that can/need to be added, and if your area has LTE or if it just has 3G or HSPA+.

I am a little unsure if it would be ok to flash a VZW modem seeing as how that is a T-Mobile phone, that area is a littlr foggy to me. Really the best place to ask would be that thread, I am not trying to be rude at all. Just saying thats where the people who know the most about that check for questions. Kinda like you ask questions about roms in the specific rom thread.
Whenever you get an answer come back to this thread and update it, I have seen this question posted a few different times and have never seen the answer so if you would update it it would be very informative for me so maybe next time this pops up I can give a definite answer.

Thanks for clearing that up, at some point I got that turned around.
I would think that there is probably nothing you can really do in this situation..... There is a chance that flashing one of the new VZW radios and then resetting everything up for T-Mobile might make it better. I HIGHLY doubt it though.
The only other things I can thing that might help would be flashing a T-Mobile rom or T-Mobile radio instead of the VZW rom and radio. That could possibly brick your phone though or cause you to get absolutely no service whatsoever, I really wish that there was more info on this subject.
Whenever you get an answer from the other thread please either post it here or PM it to me so I will know next time how to help the people in your situation.

Im trying to get my Note 2 to work on TMobile, i need HELP, ive read everything but nothing is working to unlock it.
Its already unlocked you just need sim make sure its not attached to an account on Verizon but I flashed the tmobile tablet rom and a verizon kernal I was getting 6 to 8 mbps I can live with that for now

T-Mobile for me is every easy. What I did was first unlock it using CASUAL (thanks Adam) then I just flashed it with CleanRom ACE edition.
If I plan to stay with that network, I'd choose T-mobile as carrier and never had a problem with it. If you have WIFI issue, reflashing it with Verizon carrier will fix that also.

I'm considering buying a Rezound since I just happened to know that it could run on US T-mobile today. I was looking to buy one on Ebay however, I'm not sure if all the Rezounds are ready for GSM since it's hidden and claimed not existed. I'm currently using T-mobile and hoping it could work. Getting the i777 to work on t-mo
I am a bit confussed. Trying to get a straight talk s2 to work on t-mo for my brother. Rooted and running the collective rom on the phone. popping his t-mo card in the phone does not bring up a sim locked message, and I get no carrier signal. What do I need to do to get voice signal. does data work on this with a t-mo card? Do I tell him to move on? Thanks

It does matter what modem you use and it depends on your location. ANY and ALL modems should give you phone service at least. So you have a problem. A problem talked about much many months ago. Again Backup, wipe completely, and install the factory ATT ROM using odin. Before you set it up do a factory reset for ****z and giggles. Verify that you have phone service. Then install recovery and superuser. Then install a T-mobile modem. Verify you have data and phone service. Then install the ROM of your choice. Do not reinstall a modem. And please quit posting everywhere. You have been told what to do by a few now and all you do is rant everywhere. Maybe you should have purchased a T-mobile phone to use on T-mobile and saved yourself the trouble.

I will ask again, did you go to Super everything thread? you have ATT phone, use ATT modems. if you are that hellbent on using Tmobile, have you done the SIM unlock??? Click to collapse super everything, and look for SIM unlock. this will instruct you how to unlock from ATT (getting a code from them) then unlock. just read it the yesterday as a matter of fact. RANGER CAPTAIN is the author of the thread. in the first post, scroll down a bit and it is listed with some MOD's. titled "UOCKING STEPS" once unlocked, then you can put your Tmobile SIM in. as he states this only needs to be done once. you can then flash other ROM's and the process should stick. good luck

by the way, if you e spending a lot of time in recovery or constantly flashing something, your battery is going to SUPER SUCK. your battery should be in the higher end of charged when flashing. recommended 70% or better. could probably get away with 55 or 60 though. again, every time you flash, you take a hit.
Ah ok but a friend of mine used it today it was fully charged went from 100% to 5% in like an hr and 45 min and i was reading on the sim unlock this phone was already unlocked when i purchased it that's how i was able to get t-mobile on this phone i get 4g but it doesn't stay connected i have to restart a lot to get it connected again and most of the time i have no bars so idk maybe i should stop buying unlocked phones lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Am I screwed?
I have for the past few years always bought the phones I wanted from craigslist, I would get an att phone and then root+ custom rom then use on straightalk by setting the APN. Well when the note 2 came out I really wanted one but couldnt find one under $600 used, so I got on a friends verizon plan and paid $300 for my note 2. Fast foward a year or so and now she is letting the phones get shut off due to an outstanding balance on it (always paid my part) So my question is.... will this phone need unlocked to be able to use it on straight talk? Would a root and custom rom be all thats needed or do i need to have it unlocked? I still have my straight talk sim card. This is my first time dealing with a verizon phone and a situation like this. Click to collapse Sorry, your current phone might not be eligible for any plan on VZW since she is terminating for outstanding payment. It depends if they block your device from the network or not, go to a Verizon store with your device and explain the situation, I'm sure they would try to retain the business if it is at all possible.

Click to collapse You can use this phone on ATT and Tmobile and any of their MVNO's as well as on Pageplus, selectel and couple others.. So to answer your question NO you are not screwed you still have options.. This phone comes unlocked already no need to install custom rom. but you do need to change the APN's just pull out the Verizon sim card and pop in the sim card you have and should work but you will have to change the apns for mms and data
