Icon Pack - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello, i have downloaded Alexander Theme JX0218, however the icons arent as valid when using an alt home screen loader like Go Launcher. Is there an icon pack from this theme out there? When i search the zip file for .png, there are over 14,000 and for whatever reason my computer cant/wont copy, i think some are inside .apks, i'm not really sure. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

[Q] How to make the app drawer transparent in Helix Launcher

Hello,
I was trying to make the app drawer transparent, tried editing the apk from /data/app/com.helixproject.launcher.apk
I assumed \res\drawable\pattern_carbon_fiber_dark.png is the BG for the app drawer, tried to make it semi transparent and then pushed it to the apk in /data/app.
IT DIDN'T WORK!
Helix Launcher doesn't work anymore, I had to restore it using titanium.
I also tried editing the installer apk, signed the app using signapk, then used adb install. and I got:
file 'helixlauncheredited.apk' does not contain AndroidManifest.xml
Do you have any other way to make the app drawer transparent? I really love the Helix Launcher and doesn't want to use other homescreens, I just wanted to make the app drawer transparent ^_^
Any help is appreciated. Thanks very much!!
(HelixLauncherDONUT_1.2 is the one I'm using)
Try this.... You have to resign it with Auto-sign(If you search you can find on XDA).
Thanks for trying sir, I installed and it...
doesn't work... sorry. The app drawer ended up looking like gibberish with all the apps multiplying and overlapping everywhere. Have you any idea why this happened? Maybe setting the png to just semitransparent can do the trick?
Problem is if you open the drawer you see a black background with apps but under this is your homescreen. So if drawerbackground is transparent you see both.
Why you would have a transparent backgraund? The black one looks good.
Sorry for my english.

Hmm. now that you've said it, I realized that you can't just change the .png to transparent. I just want the app drawer's BG to be the same as the wallpaper's. Black is not really my color lol. I prefer grey, mint green or brown...
BTW, can you please tell me how you edited the apk to make the app drawer transparent? From the files you've edited to signing the app? I think it would be useful in modifying other apps...
ok for example helix with transparent background.
you need auto-sign from this forum(cant post links as newbie) . winrar and an picture editor like photo shop.
1. unpack the helix.apk with winrar in a folder like /helix on your desktop.
2. go to folder /helix/res/drawable and change or edit every png you like
3. delete folder META-INF and pack the rest into zip
4. move the helix.zip to auto-sign folder and rename into Update.zip
5. double tab on Sign.bat. Now you have update_signed.zip
6. rename update_sign.zip to helix.apk and install on your phone.
hope you understand, my english is not the best.
good luck

[EDIT] Running this with GingerBlur 4.5 - working great with NO issues..
Nice work man!! This looks great!!
Thanks! I JUST finished updating the OP with install instructions and I also attached a RAR file with the dock/icons to use if you wanted to make LauncherPro look just like it does in the screenshots.
Also, while I like red and/or blue themes, my wife likes purple so I'll probably be working on a GrapeBlur theme next.
If anyone tries pushing these files to a release other than 4.1.57 (such as Adeo or Gingerblur based on 4.1.52) I would be interested to know the results!
Looks great sir, thanks for the work.
Looks great man, thanks for putting this together. One question though, is it posible to make a blue theme as I love blue!
Thanks for great work! One question though, any errors during the deodexing process?

I had one error, I think it was on PhotoEditor.apk and PhotoEditor.odex. I've seen or used a built-in photo editor so I just removed those then restarted the deodex process for apps and it completed successfully.
just tried deodexing and yes, getting the same errors from the two apks as well. Ok thanks for the heads up will try again
Successfully applied the theme!
Found 1 bug. The clock in notification bar is black in mine instead of white. Any idea why?
This might be a nobrainer but, if I change the icon files inside the apk and then push it to my phone will it still work? In this way will I be able to make my own 4.1.57 themes?
hey.. i am sorry to ask this how am i suppose to install the grapeblur and the launcherpro.. i have no idea .. i am soo sorry to ask such a dum question.. but this is my first time with an android
okay I may be kinda slow how do I make use of the launcherpro files?
hey how would you install cherryblur in the first place.. i have my phone deodexed and all but having trouble knowing how to install cherryblur...
Beautiful theme and I love battery icon... what clock app are you using?

You added a few icons to the /drawable-hdpi directory. Do you actually use them via the xml files, or are they just remains of whatever framework-res.apk you used?

yes
just get framework-res.apk, back it up, open it with winrar.
drag and drop the files, of the same name, that you would like to replace into the open winrar window. choose normal and 'add and replace', then close the window to save. replace the one in system/framework with your modified version.
Be sure to set the priviledges correctly after you copy into system/framework.
They should match the original, full read and user write.
Thats how I made this.
Edit: Every time I replace the framework-res.apk I lose my google, twitter, and facebook accounts. Anyone know why, all I'm doing is replacing images.

That is Beautiful Widgets in the Android Market. I forgot the name of the actual skin I'm using with it though, I'll reply to your PM later this morning.

The instructions are on the first page, but you need to be at least somewhat familiar with adb.

When you long press on any of the icons in the dockbar of LauncherPro you should see an option to change the icon. You need to have the icons/dock I attached saved to your sdcard ahead of time so you can choose "custom" for the icon and select the graphic you want to use.
For the dock you go to Menu -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Dock Background
* Pretty sure that's correct, but my phone is in on the charger in my bedroom where my wife is sleeping so I don't want to accidentally wake her up.

[Q] MIUI app file names for icons

Hey!
I'm currently making my own icons for apps in MIUI, but I also want to restyle apps downloaded in the market..
Since you have to rename the icons to the name of the files, like:
com.android.email.png and
com.facebook.katana.png
I also need to find the names of the apps I downloaded, so I can make custom icons for them, but I don't know where to find the names.
Does anyone know how I can find them so I can make custom icons for them?
Thanks in advance!
solution
Ok.. I have found the solution, but I still have a question!
Solution:
You first need to search for the app you want to make an icon for:
For example:
I want to make a custom icon for WhatsApp..
I go to the android market (on the internet) and search for the app..
Click on the app.
You now get to this page:
market.android.com/details?id=com.whatsapp&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS53aGF0c2FwcCJd
Click to collapse
You only need to copy whats between the = and the &
in this case: it's com.whatsapp
So in the icons folder, you need to make
com.whatsapp.png
that will be your custom whatsapp icon.
----
Now still I have a question!
I also want to make custom icons for apps, which I didn't download in the market. (AltDrawer for instance). But I don't know where to find the name of that app to make a custom icon for it.. Does anyone know the answer?
Using a root browser, go to data/system/customized_icons_1
Copy that folder to your SD card if you want. All of the unthemed icons are listed in that folder with the proper name. Sometimes the name you get from the Market isn't the process that shows up on your homescreen, so using that method is much easier and gives you the exact name for everything that isn't in your theme.
Pretty neat, huh?
Supersonic Evo 4G | MIUI | Tapatalk
That did work out really well! Thanks very much!
thanks for this!
Well this is really weird... I tried everything. I have downloaded a really nice icon-set that I use (Signa) and couldn't manage to add 2 icons...
I went to data/system//customized_icons_1/ and checked the name of the .png files for the apps. After that I have renamed the .png files to those names. Still nothing...
Device: HTC Desire
ROM: MIUI XJ 2.3.30
Attached are the files and the link are:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5SZWxtdGVjaC5SZW1vdGUiXQ..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=JakedUp.AppDrawer&feature=search_result
As a workaround I have replaced those icons from data/system//customized_icons_1/ with the ones I have attached and it works but it changes back after a reboot... I'd like to make this permanent by adding it to the icon the .mtz file.
Thanks in advance

First, download APK manager (search xda or google) and learn how it works. It's really straightforward, just mess around with it by dropping some apk's into the "place apk here for modding" folder and use the options to see what they do.
After that, find an AOSP rom and gapps, and put all of the apk's that you want the icon from into the modding folder, and extract each one. Now go to the projects folder, where you will find a subfolder for each app. In each app's subfolder, find the images folder, locate the app's icon.
Next do the same thing with the Sense version apps, locate the icon in the images folder. Take note of the name. Then go back to the AOSP icon and change the name of the file (if needed) to the same name as the Sense version icon. Last copy/replace the AOSP icon over the Sense icon, rezip the apk (using apk manager), push it to the /system/app folder on your phone (either with ADB or a file manager on your phone, if you do it either of these ways, a flashable zip is not needed), reboot, and you're done.

I think there's some threads around xda on that, I just always theme stuff for myself cause I don't have time for people's requests so i've never looked into making flashable zips. Probably not too hard though. Have fun!

[Q] How to change Lock Screen Icons style/look?

First of all sorry for my english
Now question: How can I change my LockScreen Icons from stock to look like this one?
(I really was looking for some kind of info in and out the forum but didn't find anything)
Thank you anyway
I think you want to change which icons are used? Don't worry, I had the same problem finding the location too.
Go to:
Settings, Security and Lock Screen, Lock Screen Options, Shortcuts.
How this helps!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
you would have to change the icon in apk itself unless someone creates a mod which allows changing them.

1. Pull the apk from your phone to PC (Use root explorer or something similar) - ex. SecPhone.apk for changing Phone icon
2. add ".zip" to its name at the end.
3. Open with winzip
4. find and replace the old icon with new one
Which apk is the lockscreen apk?
You need to pull the SystemUI.apk from \System\APP folder in your ROM or flashable rom file
then open the .APK with Winzip
goto res/drawable-xhdpi folder and edit the Icons as wanted,
Delete the SystemUI.zip from the flashable ROM
Click add ZIP and re add the new SystemUI.zip to the flashable package
Go into CWM and Flash
