by far my favorite rom. would love to see one of the devs bring it back! I would definitely donate. If anyone is working on it, hows the progress?

Hey guys, so what are these roms? What makes them different from AOSP? And could they be easy to build or port for our phones?
Sent from my HTC Vision using Xparent Green Tapatalk
AOSP = Android Open Source Project
AOKP = Android Open Kang Project
If I'm not mistaken, the difference is that AOSP is built from scratch and AOKP is just a tweaked/themed AOSP ROM.
Its a version of of ICS built by Roman of Team Kang. I believe it is compiled from source. IF you want it on this phone you would need to ask them on how to get it ported or if it was ok to start trying. Team Kang does great work. It would be awesome to see this on this phone!
Whithawk is an awesome dev too hes part of it

AOSP: Android Open Source Project /Made by Android
AOKP: Android Open Kang Project /Made by Roman
AOKP is a stock heavily modified ROM like ARHD.
So, is there a AOKP Rom available for HTC Amaze?

Who said I used TapaTalk ?!?
Oh yes, I see it now...I can't wait til we get everything stable enough for AOKP. I'm always jealous when I put it on other people's phones/tablets.

Actualy galaxy5 already have official CyanogenMod.
This does not mean that everyone from CyanogenMod team is developing it. Only psyke83 does that.
This also mean that you can only download CM source and compile galaxy5 rom from it without downloading specific device config for it.
And it means it is 100% stable.
I was under the impression that there is CM9 for the Fascinate and every link I find leads me to CM7.
What's the deal?

If you want the root CM9 directly from Team HackSung without the cherry picks you can get each release here:

I was just posting the link to the source. Besides, I'm surprised no one has said "Why would you want CM9 anyway instead of AOKP?".

There is NO official CM9 yet but CM approved it yesterday so it'll be on their list soon.
What is the best Vibrant jb 4.2 rom?:cyclops::cyclops:
Its a matter of an opinion. Slim bean is nice and small. Cyanogenmod well its pretty much the original. Avatar is the ROM that is not only extremely customizable (miui) it also can have have ota updates. Root box(my port) is fast and pretty stable with built in pie. Cyanaosp(also my port) is meant for gaming and runs hardcore games pretty well. If I left any ROMs out I'm sorry I just named what came to my head
If I helped you, hit the thanks button!

Although baked isn't really updated on XDA anymore is it? PAC man and paranoid android are also two others that come to mind. And no there is no Liquid Smooth ROM for our phones

I finally have the chance to change the OP up a little bit. This is an unofficial port of Liquid Smooth for the DNA. This ROM includes the Xposed framework installer, HALO, and pie. Additional Xposed modules can be downloaded and installed but*I haven't tested any of the ones I*found and a lot of them*add options that the ROM*already has.*I'm currently running this ROM but haven't tested everything 100% yet.
Thanks to Chad, crpalmer, Milly7, .torrented,*and the Liquid Team.
7/7: new build uploaded but the camera only worked one time then it started throwing errors. Thanks to .torrented for the camera tip.
7/8: New build, now with working camera, thanks to .torrented and Milly7 for the tips to get it working.
8/3: Updated with Chad/crpalmers latest commits, added CMfilemanager and calender apps.

I haven't flashed it yet.. got bigger fish to fry for some time for me.. But I think it may be broken for now in the initial build.. User coachcrey confirmed the camera was broken for him some posts back..
I think someone else had this issue with their ROM and they built using the 4.6 toolchain with O2. I have it building now and will test tonight.

New build is up with a working camera thanks to .torrented and Milly7. I'm thinking of attempting to add overclocking and schedulers to the kernel, opinions?
