i know the changelist for the at&t rom I717UCMD3 changelist=1117019
the telus rom has changelist=1112295 which should make it older than the at&t rom
as i understand it the change list number is one of the best ways to track the newest release.
if if only small changes or fixes have been done to the code..

i have been searching everywhere and i can not find an updated rom. i just got my TP yesterday with rom version 1.03 dated 11-11-08. the htc site says my serial number is invalid.
i did find this rom:
RUU_Raphael_HTC_WWE_5.05.405.1_R_Radio_Signed_Raphael_52.58.25.30_1.11.25.01_Ship.exe
is this the newest for cdma or does it matter?
there is no new update for the sprint version. the one on the site is the gsm version. there are plenty of cooked roms though, im using the juggalo rom and i have improved performance all around.
i was trying to avoid the custom roms for now, as i don't even have a copy of the current stock rom and i don't know how to get it back to oem configuration.
has anyone heard of an upcoming rom update?

I'm assuming 4.5.91 is the newest Official version of GB that's available (for AT&T). The Cherry Pie ROM (and from my understanding any AT&T specific ROM) can be used on International builds as long as you use your tegra specific kernel for it (for example i'm on faux123's v1.2 d00 kernel).
I'm on Bell and successfully installed Cherry Pie yesterday with no issues. Just be sure to install your specific kernel AFTER the ROM install and you should be good to go.
I just purchased an I717d galaxy note that had an aws modem installed. I am now receiving an ICS OTA update notice. My question is can I install this OTA update, would the modem be compatible with ICS or will it disable my aws modem.
Model: I717d
Andriod Version: 2.3.6
Baseband Version: T989UVKL1
Kernal Version: 2.6.35.11
Build Number: Gingerbread.207
With the recent number of OTA flash issues weve seen, I would suggest "not" updating via OTA, rather, you may want to investigate another upgrade option.
I'm thinking that you will lose the current modem if using the OTA...
You could root, and flash the rom only, without dropping the modem.....g
Thanks, I think I'll go to a local shop for a small price they'll upgrade while I'm there to a custom rom with aws. That way I can watch how its done in case I want to do it on my own in the future.
Excellent idea ...
Doing your homework in advance makes "all " the difference later ....g
Hi All,
I am new to this forum and new to android world.
I have purchased unlocked Optus Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100) from Australia and currenlty i am using it in India with Airtel. My mobile is installed with ICS 4.0.4.
I want Offical Jelly Bean firmware in my mobile.
Can i install Official Jelly Bean Rom released in SPAIN? Will it lock the the mobile after i install this ROM?
Or If i need to wait for Jellybean to realese in my region, Did i able to update Australian Version or Indian Version of Jellybean ROM or only the OPTUS version of ROM through Samsung Kies?
Please help me on this request.
Thanks,
Arun Panneerselvam
yes, you can install the jellybean from spain and no it will not lock your phone.
The choice is up to you. You try one of the custom roms on this site or wait for an official version through kies.
Updating kies may not happen this year because the roll out for jelly bean wil be uneven, no one knows what countries will get and when or if they will get jellybean at all.
Before installing you have to root your device,
then check and search on internet for your original rom (it could be useful if you need to send it to assistance in warranty)
If the phone is branded usually official updates came from carriers ,and often they need more time to release update after the unbranded is released since they want to put on it their customizations

What the devil are you talking about? You don't need to root in order to install the stock Samsung Jelly Bean firmware.
i see that most of the roms for our phones are this version 1.54.401.5, and my phone is still running 1.12.502.18.
i not new to rooting or changing roms, just new to htc which is a little more in depth than samsung was. so my question is should i up date to this version or should i wait, and if i need to update where can i find that version and intructions to install.
i am rooted, unlocked and s-off right now. thanks in advance.
The version your running is the most current for the ATT Variant(has not been updated via carrier yet),The latest US WWE version out is 1.54.1540.9(4-19-2014 build date) which is US Developer Edition, The 1.54.401.5 (3-22-2014 build date) is WWE European build...Choice is yours though...theres many tutorials for rooting/flashing roms on here...pretty basic stuff....Good luck

Thanks I didn't realize that was for the European version, think I'll pass on that and stick to the carrier roms that are available.
