Anyone know where to get one of these in AUstralia?
The only option appears to be from US but those shops are all charging 100 bucks including shipping (WTF!!!)

EBAY $2. Got one sent to NZ. same thing just ALOT cheaper.
xperia s uses custom connector not micro USB. Can you show me one I cannot find any for xperia s.
I assume you mean stuff like this.

Thats for the original Tablet S NOT Xperia S. Tablet S uses a micro USB, good for you guys, but Xperia Tablet S uses a stupid custom connector!

Hi All,
I now have the Atrix with lapdock and it's really useful for travel in that I get a small lightweight system without having to lug a company issue laptop. I'd hoped to replace it with Note and a small hub to allow me to use my HDD to move files from say the HDD to my phone or to another USB drive in case I have to give another person files, etc.
Does anyone know if this is available for the Int'l Note?
Been looking but haven't seen much. I could buy a mini powered USB hub I guess but a dock would be nicer. AND if the hub had say 3 or 4 USB ports then I could plug mouse, kbd, hdd, and have one open port. BUT, that's so messy and half/ass looking. Plus I would have to prop up the Note to either type on screen or use a keyboard.
This is about as close as I can think of. http://www.spider-foot.com/battery-...ng-galaxy-note-n7000-i9220-i92h5e-p-1125.html
Im thinking about picking one up if I find that I have a need for a desk dock

You can get a OTG adapter cable for your GNote which allows you to upload and download files, picts, video, music etc to a thumb drive to and from the GNote. I got mine from Amazon for like $3.50 or so. It has a micro USB to hook up to the phone and a USB for the thumb drive. I have not seen much luck on using the cable with a HDD, and I have not tried.

And there is no difference between them physically. Both phones use a micro USB port in the same location and orientation. There is a US version, I dont know why it links the European model in my post tho.
I ordered one and it should be here next week I hope.

Any further info on this dock? Did it receive it yet and are you happy with it? I bought the official samsung dock that is compatible with the AT&T Note but I have a slim case on it so the Micro USB port didn't reach far enough! This one looks nice but it probably has the same issue with a thin case preventing a good contact with the micro USB port.
KiDiGi HDMI CHARGER CRADLE DOCK FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE i717

Hope with the cradle and the lapdock. Make Note Netbook. HA!
Hi there!
After being a long time lurker of this forum, I finally have made the decision to buy myself the prime!
While i was in the USA about 1 month ago, (I live in the UK) I bought a BC Asus Prime!
Works great, Wifi better and better with every update! No GPS!
After looking around i decided not to buy the dock just yet, but i am in need of the USB port..
Anyone know where either.... Ships to the UK, or if anyone has one to sell?!
Please be gentle with me as im new to the android scene, and new to this forum!
Quick replies are always helpful!!
Thanks in advance!
Just give eBay a try, that's where I found my USB Kit. They might be a bit overpriced, but thatstheonly place that actually has them.

Got mine from Microcenter in the States, not sure if they ship internationally?
You need the USB adapter for the TF101 (OG Transformer).
Amazon UK has a couple in stock:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-USB-Ex...1_5?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1329853825&sr=1-5
That price look on-par for what I have seen them selling for in the 'States.
Ive seen them in the states for like 17bucks i think, but as i come home without it i think i might have to but pay the 40 pounds for it!
Does it do what it says on the tin? plug and play usb port?
i need it for EXT drive and usb such as ps3 gamepad...
if so, it might be worth buying!
Thanks!

I have seen these for around $30 in the U.S. I believe there were some being sold at clearance prices for around $15 but those are long gone and as you probably know, it is hard to find these.
I have never used one of these USB adapters because I have the keyboard dock, however if they work like the keyboard dock, then yes you will get plug & play USB for stuff like external hard drives. I was able to connect my external hard drive to the Prime via the USB on the keyboard dock and it worked flawlessly.
As for game controllers, I don't have any experience with them so I don't know.
Hi guys. One simple question, is there a smart dock for the xperia s. Only heard of the ones for the P and Ion.

Sorry there isn't one.
Expansys sells a Kidigi Cover-Mate cradle. Not so much a smart dock but it will let you charge phone and be able to connect HDMI cable from phone to TV etc at the same time. Have not used it myself thinking about getting it though.
i am still on the one for arc

With a smart dock can you connect a PS3 controller to it and navigate the menus?
I believe I saw it somewhere but I dont remember where !!

I remembered where I had seen it. This guy plays Driver using a PS3 controller connected to the livedock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J92oirwd9BQ&feature=g-vrec&context=G281070fRVAAAAAAAABg
I wonder why there's none for the xperia s. Is the P more of a multi media device than the S.
I don't understand the reasoning behind this at all.

there is a difference between a LIVEDOCK and a SMARTDOCK ...
LIVEDOCK:
it is an universal cradle for all sony devices with an USB- and HDMI-OUT connection ... no matter where they are to find on your handset. (XPERIA S left-side USB and right-side HDMI)
SMARTDOCK:
is an accessory for the XPERIA P ... the reason why it is only for an XPERIA P is, because a XPERIA P have the USB- and HDMI-OUT on one side (left-side)... so you can easy plug it
can I use smart dock for ion (dk 20) with xperia p? Sony just ''erased'' xperia p on his page (I can't put link, just google it)
wy ask it here??!!, this is no Xperia S forum :s
FIRSTLY SORRY IF THAT WAS ALREADY VIEW IT
But my keyboard is dead i thinking about buying a new one
so "logitech k400" will full work with Xperia s via OTG
Thanks
i read on amazon that it works with a sony tablet so it should work also with our xperia s usb otg FTW
i've been looking for something similar, but thinking maybe something a bit more portable that i could carry in my bag.
maybe this?

anyone have any experience with these or similar mini keyboards?
just got XTS second hand, i like to ask some question regarding this tablet.
1. is the power cable interchangeable / compatible with xperia tablet z or tablet s? I find it hard to find replacement locally. I like to have 1 more for backup incase i loose it. Sony doesn't supply the accessory, although they still selling brand new XTS in their official store.
2. does this tablet support HSPA+? i read in gsmarena it support up to 21mbps, but i cannot get more than 6mbps in speedtest. gsmarena sometimes got the wrong specifications.

i too have adjusted my objective to be a information finding mission at this point. i have found more information about the damn info "leak" last summer then the tablet itself.
to answer your question, it seems as if even identifying our models are a challenge. is yours the tegra 3 model? mine has the tegra 3 and the com port is not usb, i have no idea what it is other then some proprietary sony crap. there have been threads discussing the diy fabrication of our own chargers as you cant even get this stuff from sony any more.
so far i have found a used charger on ebay for $40, an adapter to go from crap sony to usb female aka otg for about $30. be aware there are plenty of sellers who will gladly sell you the wrong stuff as most of this sony tablet crap is not clearly identified and its a huge cluster fudge.
