But for custom anything, you need a custom unlocked ROM, you can't do anything like that with stock

I have one in my signature.
Follow the 2.3 link.
I have only tested it on stock like roms but it is not too hard to do it yourself. Just change the .pngs for the default pic in the contacts.apk.
You could also maybe try changing the whole contact apk but I am not too sure about that in cm7.1
hm does it change the whole screen? i mean the icons, pictures, colors? i want a whole new caller-screen...maybe like in miui roms

No, sorry that will take a complete re work of the app with the framework as well...try asking in the theme and app section

A complete dark theme would look awesome on that Super AMOLED display of the Vivo Nex, all other other major OEM's who use AMOLED display give this option but not Vivo I'm aware of the Miui 9 dark theme and it's the only reason I haven't sold my Vivo Nex, that ugly white UI is too much for me to stomach! Thanks to the dev of Miui 9 dark for his hard work, but if we can anyone can make a complete black theme instead of grey it would be brilliant and I will definitely buy you a beer for you hard work! Here's hoping we get some awesome new themes for this awesome device

Go to the XDA site and do a search on Andromeda - Substratum. They produced a You Tube video on it.

hi Jim thanks for your response, can you get both the swipe up notification panel and setting menu to go pitch black using Andromeda or is it just the settings menu?

Settings/notifications doesn't theme properly. These themes are probably not designed with the Chinese UI's in mind, I also have similar problem with my Xiaomi phones. But you can black out everything else. Of course, there may be themes that work with these UI's 100%, but I haven't been able to jfind them. I am only in the settings once in a blue moon anyways, so I can live with that.

thanks for all the information I really hope Vivo includes a black theme option with Android Pie update like all other manufacturers are doing, but knowing Vivo they probably will ommit that feature as it will make their phones look different to IOS, which Vivo loves so much.

I couldn't get the Andromeda - Substratum combo to work, it's connected but when i enable and build the Swift Black theme it says some resources not available (a folder), did you have the same issue ?

Some users don't want to go through the hassle of putting the theme on the phone and then experimenting with it. Could you please let us know if this theme blacks out the quick toggles? Thanks!

Notification panel and quick toggles are grey in shade with this particular theme.

You can take one by pulling down the notification shade on the second screen and using capture+ and then take one of the main screen as well either using capture toggle or the standard way of volume down and power

Oh ya. That came back from my v30 Nova BU that i had rooted. It had all my apps like Titanium BU, Viper4Android, greenify, Magisk, etc. I dont think this phone is rootable yet. Got to find the exploit.
