Hello,
I've just installed Nova Launcher Prime on my newly rooted GS2 (Slim Bean Rom) and i've two questions that i can't seem to find the answers for,
Firstly, Is there a option to add or enable a 'homescreen' icon at the bottom on the app drawer. I can't find anything in the settings.
Secondly, I'd like to know where to default icons for Nova are stored so i can edit a few of them and create new ones based off them. I know i can other icon pack/themes/png's etc but they're normally a little bit different and i'd like to have all my icons matching, just being anally retentive i guess.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
Thanks

Hello, sorry for asking this question.
But is it possible to have ADW launcher have the default app drawer or are the launcher and appdrawer tied together. eg you can only have one or the other. The device in question is the motorola xoom wifi. I didn't post this in the xoom forums because its more of a general android question concerning launchers on a tablet then it is a device specific question.
Reason being is because I enjoy having ADW launcher's ability to take up the full screen on my xoom as opposed to have the columns on either side where you cant place app (wasted screen real estate if you ask me, since theirs no need for a tapping area when you can swipe to change screens). But at the same time I very much enjoy the ICS app drawer and being able to see a visual representation of my widgets and what not.
Does anyone know if it is possible to have both the ICS app drawer and a custom launcher? By this I mean to have the custom launcher home screen and the default appdrawer? I have googled but I haven't found an answer Thats why im asking. I don't know enough about android to figure it out on my own, So can you have both your cake and eat it too? Or is the homescreen tied to their respective launchers. Eg you cant have the default app drawer without also using the default homescreen launcher? Or is it possible to mix and match app drawer's with a launcher. my initial feeling is that they're tied together, But considering im sure someone else has wondered this before, I thought I would ask. I hope I explained this well enough. Thank you all in advance for your replies and any help rendered.

Edit; Clarified.
ya i was browsing for the same thing on the market. no luck though.
Hey all,
I have recently installed ADW Launcher EX in order to set my tablet up using the Hubs philosophy. Looks great so far, but the one thing I did like was the favorites shortcut in the status bar on the stock sony launcher. I would like to add it somewhere, but it won't let me add it, probably because it is some kind of hidden system app.
Does anyone know how to add these hidden system apps to homescreens or wherever without need root access or a custom rom?

Without some serious dev work, it looks to me like this is not possible. It seems to be a part of the stock launcher from what I can tell. You might be able to write a non-launchable app that just launches the Favourites, but that would only work if they had any public Intents built-in.
Not too sure, since I'm at work and can't check right now, but thats just my thoughts.
Thanks,
I had thought as much. I actually don't mind the sony stock launcher, just wish I could create shortcuts that can jump to certain screens like in ADW launcher. I'm sure if I rooted, I could find some way to access that applications independently, but I don't really want to go that route with my tablet. My phone was enough lol
I have 3 pages of blank space for icons that I will never use. How do I delete them? I would appreciate any help.
I did look for this problem and did a search in the forum, so sorry if this has already been addressed and I didn't see it.
Never used stock touchwiz launcher but I use holo or nova, apex, most all launchers will allow you to choose how many screens you want under launcher settings.
mods feel free to delete this thread. I figured out the problem on my own.
Thank you.

I guess since JB came out TW Launcher edits are more difficult. Found a few threads where people were trying to do something similar but couldn't figure it out. It's possible to edit the grid layout, removing the dock label, and whether or not you want wallpaper scrolling, but couldn't find much on the other stuff. Probably would need a lot of smali code editing.
Very curious: why so adamant about sticking with TW? It's really not that special and besides the TW widgets, it's easy to replicate and typically be better at all the other stuff. It's not like it's more smooth or has many (any?) really special features than one of a dozen other good replacements don't have...

Isnt there a way to move the app drawer icon from right to left or anywhere you want it to be?
Hi all,
I'm new to the XDA Forums, so if I'm inadvertently breaking rules or if this question has already been asked elsewhere, please guide me! With that disclaimer out of the way, here goes my query:
I'm using Nova (Free Version, but planning to buy Prime soon) on my Redmi Note 4, which is not rooted mainly because I don't want to mess around with things I don't understand and brick my phone.
Redmi phones obviously come with their proprietary MIUI 8 OS. While I like a lot of things about it, I find some of its inflexibility annoying.
I've been using Nova because I like its features and I got a really cool icon pack. But what's annoying me is that if I use a light-coloured wallpaper, the notification bar icons remain white even if I select "Dark Icons" from the Nova options.
I have a feeling this is only an issue on MIUI 8. Has anyone else faced this?
If yes, what was the remedy that worked for you?
For reference, here are the screenshots of the default MIUI launcher (notice the dark notification bar icons) and the Nova launcher home page with the same wallpaper. Since I'm a new user and I can't post external hyperlinks, here's the URL in code:

EDIT:
Sorry I just noticed that I posted this in the wrong forum by mistake!
Mods: Request you to please move this thread to the right forum!
For those who are facing something similar, updating MIUI to the latest version took care of this. I have no idea what the issue was, though.
