I was thinking about updating my other line and grabbing the black HTC One. But it seems like it'll scratch too easy. I'm gonna go back up to the att store tomorrow to look at it again.

Our store in Duluth, GA got some in yesterday and is already on display. I lusted over the black one but now that I compare both side by side I'm glad I got a silver one. It just pops more.

Thanks. I believe thats the southpark store. I'll head there on lunch. I would FOR SURE take it back. It does sound like a QA issue. That store is good for waiving fees as well. You might even want to go back to Silver. lol I was checking out the Sprint Black One, and I like the Silver more as well.

yep, south park store. Yea I paid full retail also, so there is no reason to have to put up with that. Do you know if exchanges have to be done at store you purchased from? Asking because I work in uptown, and it would be easier to just go to that store.

I work downtown as well, but kind of on the outskirts by Dilworth. I believe you can return to the EpiCenter store based on their policy from their site.

Call that store first to make sure they have the device on hand. The only issue you may run into is according to their policy, you can only exchange once. I've managed to exchange twice as the SouthPark store though, no fees.
Got mine yesterday. I was gonna get the silver and mentioned to the guy I was really liking the black one(didn't know they had them yet). Worked out great.
I like the black one to just afraid it's going to scratch.

Just swapped my Silver for the Black.
The Black feels a tad more grippier to hold. The Silver feels good, but it's a hunk of metal and hard to hold.
The Black looks great, but people wont know what kind of phone it is vs the Silver is going to draw attention.
ATT had one ok case which I bought, but I think I'm going caseless to see how the phone hold up.
If it shows scratches pretty easy then I plan on going back to the Silver.
Just installed a Zagg full body shield. It actually adds a nice gloss finish to the back. It's also less of a finger print magnet.

Since I was outside of the 14 day exchange period I had to make a warranty claim through att for the "gap gate" issues on mine as well as the unresponsive capacitive keys. So they are sending me a Black one and they even waived the priority shipping fee. Hopefully it will get here Wednesday.

I just got my rezound from Amazon wireless. I love the phone however I.have the light leakage and its already overheating. Do I.need to send it into Amazon or can I return it at a local Verizon store? I I've read both circumstances happening. Just wondering if anyone else has done either yet. Also if u send it in can u get a loner? This is my first Verizon phone. Thanks
I think you have to use amazon for the first 30 days then you can use verizon. It may be worth it to put up with it until verizon can help you.

I got both a Rezound and RAZR from Amazon. The Rezound is great, but I had some serious issues with the RAZR overheating and searching for signal. Called Amazon, they shipped me a brand new phone. Swapped SIMs, mailed the old phone back. Problem solved, and it didn't cost me a dime. Think shipping was 2nd day air.
EDIT: I also tried VZW first, because it would have been quicker, but they directed me to Amazon.
So they send one first... Have the replacement phones been without flaw or is it the same gamble. Might be better to wait the 30 days and use Verizon so I can check it...

The only reason I suggested waiting and using Verizon is that Amazon was backordered last time I checked.
Send back to Amazon. I just went through this and don't be afraid by the 2-5 week wait. They told. Me that and got an email a few days later it was being shipped.

Amazon is excellent for returns/exchanges hands down. I assume it will be the same process you request an exchange and they ship it out to you. They generally gave me overnight shipping for free (even on a saturday) to get me non-defective item. Then you just ship it back to them within a resonable time frame with the included label and you should be good to go.
You guys do realize Amazon will send you a brand new phone and if you wait 30 days Verizon cannot swap in store and will send you a refurbished phone thru the mail.

Verizon has a 14 day policy normally, but now if you purchased the phone after 11-15 you have until Jan.
Wouldn't the phone have a warranty through htc as well? Sounds like ill be contacting Amazon tomorrow though. Thanks a lot guys. Hopefully that one doesn't have the light leak. Lol watch me have a new problem. Is rather have the leak than pink buttons and all the other problems I hear about...

I'd be willing to bet that it was a CSA who probably doesn't understand what light leakage is. Between my 3 rezounds and everyone I have looked at in the stores you can see the LEDs through the bottom of the screen when the soft keys light up which is what is causing the bleeding. There is no way to fix it except by turning off the LEDs or by lowering their intensity to improve on the light leak.

Went into verizon and they won't take the phone tho it sounds like I may as well deal with it. They really pissed me off though. I wanted to put on my work discount. Supposed to be 22% line 20% data. I called and reviewed online before I got verizon and the rep told me I would get the discounts. The store wouldn't discount my data because he claimed I need to have a 5gb data and hotspot plan. I was never told this and most likely wouldn't have canceled at&t during the penny sale. Anyone think I could complain enough to get this changed? Can't seem to find a phone number for them to save my life lol

I recently reserved a galaxy note from Best buy store and i got a confirmation email. it had all this stuff about the buy back program and the free flip case and then at the bottom it said order total $749 . is this normal? i thought i was getting the 2yr upgrade! should i go back to get it all straightened out? i know im eligible as i checked with AT&T and Best Buy Mobile on my computer. thanks!
I got the same thing. I asked the same question to the BB employee I preorder the phone from. He said that's normal u will get the upgrade price once u pick up the phone and actually purchase it.

I know. I was pretty bummed when the employee told me that they're only down to get black. He put me down for a white so hopefully by some miracle they get me a pearly white note! I have been in love with white phones since I switched out my 3GS digitizer for a white one.
Do you guys think they'll get some white ones? I can't understand why they would only send black. A lot of people I see walking around my town have white iPhones. You would think they would send white instead of black.

Initially the personal who helped me put me down for carbon blue but I clarified what I was getting, wanted white, so he changed it. I cannot see any imaginable reason why a store would not get a certain color this is not the iPhone. From what the employees I talked to told me is they will have plenty of supply and a phone waiting for you in your color for 72hrs. Oh and no mad rushes and huge lines to get it. I'd imagine the phone lovers like us will be at BB when they open so you may have toait to be helped but you will get your phone.
Relax people alot of you guys are overthinking this, could be due to the monumental events and circumstances that come with new iPhone releases but thankfully this is just another phone in AT&T's and Samsung's eyes they will have plenty of inventory and you will be able to do what ever you need.

I think the most important part about getting the phone from bestbuy is there no deductible that alone is better then the $50 bucks or a free case i also too did get the same price on my email but was told it will change once my upgrade is processed

Yes it is worth it. I have a mint one X+ and One X here and i bought the ONE outright because it was so nice. You'll love it, get it! No major issues for the ONE, or any minor issues that i know of. If you get one from an ATT Corporate store (which i recommend) make sure you look it over well before they finalize your transaction. Look for gaps, rough edges anything out of the ordinary.. Better to exchange one that's not right before they marry it to your account.. Mine was perfect first try, but some have gaps and other QC issues.

I do not recommend the att store. Costco has no activation fees, they wave the upgrade fee, it's 129.99 I believe still and you get 90 days to return and exchange it in addition to a bunch of free phone accessories and an option to get a 2 year prorated damage warranty with $25 deductible.

YEah no costco in my city, maybe not in my state, never seen one. Its $99 at ATT.
The best thing to do is to try it out yourself in the store with the live models. Take some time and go through the phone ie...camera, front speakers (boom sound), Sense 5 (blink feed), ui fluidity, browser test, button layout (note: it actually takes a few days to get used to it), watching videos on the S-LCD 3 HD1080p screen (beautiful) and the overall feel of the phone. IMO it seems more of an upgrade from the One X to the HTC One than the S3 to the S4. But that's just me.

BTW: Anyone knows if Best Buy mobile is a good try to renew contract and buy a phone? Been thinking about it for a couple of days.

the bestbuy warranty(geeksquad black tie) is the best i have ever had no deductible and it covers all damage no matter what
Best Buy price matches too so if you happen to find it cheaper at frys, Costco, sams club, radio shack etc....they should price match it. There were so many deals for the One lately...

Just go for the HTC One at Costco or Sams Club. I suggest Costco if you have one. Try it risk free for 14 days, if you don't like it return it. You get NO restocking fees as these places, or at least Costco I know you don't.
Like I said, with everything you get with costco, I think it evens out and you get 90 days of exchanges. I see you have a few Costcos in Carolina.
I called in about an insurance claim because I shattered my one x screen. I didn't want to use my uprgrade but after finding out the deductible was 199.99. I talked to a rep who said she would give it to me for 99.99 since I wasn't intending on using my upgrade and she quoted me a 50.00 deductible until she found out the real price. Try calling att who knows maybe you might get a deal.

I'm at my local BB, no one is here! They open at 10am. I will be first in line. I bought the LG G2 last thurs to replace my note 2. Big mistake!!! Once you go Big you never go back.
The G2 felt extremely small, even with the 5.2" display it just felt wrong! I used it for about an hour and I still haven't taken the protective film off. It's been sitting in the box on my desk for a week.
Hopefully it's an easy exchange process and I'm out quickly. I gave my cousin my note 2 in exchange for his upgrade and I've been using the iPhone 5 from my business line.

I read about your situation in the pre-order thread. That absolutely sucks and sounds like something that would happen to me. I was planning to pay for my upfront cost by billing to my account and having the money ready by my next bill, but found out that isn't an option with Edge. Sigh...the crap we put up with from cell companies....

Hmm, so a pretty high demand area? I'm from South Jersey which is a pretty high populated area so that's why I figured no one had any.

Ha no probs.
I traded it back in for the S5 because I really didn't like the way the device felt. It was tall and it was narrow which made it awkward to hold IMO, and this is coming from me having a Note 3, which I was fine with. Sense, although incredibly fast and beautiful, was somewhat boring to me and left me asking for more. I also didn't particularly like the camera and wanted more that the S5 provides.

Thanks. I just watched some more videos comparing the cameras, and now I'm leaning back towards keeping the S5. DAMN YOU SAMSUNG!!!!

I picked up two (2nd for the GF) from the store in downtown SF this morning. They just got more black models in so they have both in stock.
Don't worry about it so much, shipments arrive every week. Mine was on back ordered, you'll soon get it was shipped status.

I ordered mine over the phone over the past weekend, was told it was backordered (white), next day I got a notification they had shipped the phone, just got it today....rooted, recovery, and sim unlocked running Alliance Rom. Something I couldnt do with the ATT version as of yet lol..

Well, all T-Mobile stores must have gotten shipments yesterday because after work my local store had a bunch of blacks in so I called in to T-Mobile to cancel. They said they did.
Get home, open up my newly purchased S5 activate it, set up me email and get a notification that my T-Mobile order that was supposed to be cancelled shipped
Oh well, at least I got one!
I just walked into the store on release day, talked to my buddy that I always talk to and walked out with a shiny new white S5. I've bought the new Galaxy on release day since the 3, 4 and now 5 all in white. I'm officially a Samsung fanboy.

Definitely not back ordered, as I walked into my local T-Mobile store and purchased a charcoal black S5 with new service.
They seem to have over anticipated the demand for white and under anticipated the demand for black. I had to call around for about 6 stores to find one in black and they had only received a couple in the order, so I zipped down and grabbed it. Then I had a hard time finding a black otterbox case, everyone had white but no black, but I found one at an AT&T store lol
