Sync iTunes - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

So i got my HTC One and im amazed byt the speed and elegance of the phone. I have a problem though. I cant sync my music on the Internakl Memory. I cant even mount the drive on my Mac. I did some researc hand found out the type of partition is not supported by Macs. Although HTC Sync Manager should work on my mac with the HTC One, it doesn't recognize the phone when i plug it in. When i plug in the phone i get a Finder window open and see a link to HTC Sync Manager, yet it seems as if theres no workaround to get the HTC Sync Manager to recognize my HTC One. Help anyone!?!?!?!?!?!
Note: i did try doing research to fix the problem, there isnt really much on the web yet for this problem.

Buy a real computer instead of a mac?

I've been using isyncr to sync the itunes library on my PC with my phones.
Worked flawlessly with my Note 2 and Nexus 4.
There's a mac version as well.

I used isyncr for mac too but it's not letting me use mtp with isyncr. I ended up just using doubletwist airsync

How to load my photos and movies on.

I am trying to load my movies and pictures that I have onto my flyer and can't seem to get them to play or show. Is anybody else having any luck getting this done?

hm....very easy...connect Flayer to PC as Disk Drive - create a directory Video, Pictures....the you might able to see via Gallery or any file manager... take a look at the screen shoots
Double Twist worked well for me. It integrates with iTunes nicely.
However, Google Music Beta and Amazon MP3 cloud players have made local sync almost not necessary.
Thank you for the response and help. That is what i thought and basically what i did but still not able to see them or play them.

AirDroid is so freaking awesome.

Just thought I'd share this app with those of you who haven't seen it. What it does is it takes your phone and gives you a Desktop type UI on your computer, instead of your computer being on your phone (logmein etc). You can respond to sms, organize your sd card, import export things and listen to music from your sd card on your computer. It's wifi based but is pretty awesome. I've been using it very frequently and the best part is it's free. I'd pay in the upwards of 10.00 for this shiz. Props to the devs!
AirDroid on the Official Android Market
You can tether and use it at the same time as well

I have been using it for awhile now too and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous UI and super simple to setup. I'm shocked that its free but not complaining haha

Seems like a straight forward setup, but for some reason, my browser isn't bringing up the IP address
Wow thanks, this app is really cool and handy
This app is really useful if you're someone like me has to charge their phone away from their desk.

Awesome app.
I had to change the port from 8888 to 8000 to get it to work though.

Dlna

I want to stream media to my PC via my evo... Is that possible? And if it is, what software should I use?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA
I love the vague title... Anyway... I haven't tried it personally, but with another dlna device I did notice that it would recognize Windows shares. Try enabling shared folders on your computer, then start the media share app and take a look in your network. Windows Media Player should be able to play what's on the shared network. I'd be curious to know if this really worked or not, just never had a need.
On my desire you could use connected media from gallery to a similar effect...

Cloud storage

I'm an idiot when it comes to cloud storage. I have a bunch of music and I know it won't fit with the 16gb capacity on my DNA so I was wondering if there is a website or an app that will let me access all of my music from my computer on my phone?

I use BubbleUPnP to stream media from my pc. Works great with pix, music, and video. You need to install the server software on your pc to stream over mobile network.
Win7, media player 11 works great for me. I use MX player as a renderer on my phone. It has the best codec support.
There are several free cloud storage services but I don't know if you can stream to your phone from them

Google music lets you store like 20k songs for free. Also drop box gives you 25 gigs of storage although I think that might be only for verizon.
I use BubbleUPnP too. It is really good and easy to use.

How did you get 25 gigs for dropbox. I only have 3 1/2

When I opened drop box on my DNA I had to go through a tutorial and then I got the extra space. Not sure if its a Verizon thing or not.
I'm gonna look for the tutorial. I gained a little space (500mb) for auto upload but didn't see an opportunity for the rest. Will check it out

I don't know if this would be able to cover all of your needs, but you should check out Bitcasa. It's a new Cloud Storage service and I like it very much. You sign up and start off with 10gb free and you can upgrade to unlimited storage for $10 a month.
I use Bitcasa for my pictures and documents, but I use Spotify for music though... but I still hope this helps! :good:
Yeah I use Google music. Download the uploader from the Google music page and just start uploading your music then you can also redownload it later to all of your devices if you want to or stream it

Try Plex
Plex, app and desktop media server work well. I think the app is $5 but it works not only for music but you can access your movies, pictures, anything you upload to the app you can watch from pretty much anywhere. But for a free alternative, use google music.
I've been using Subsonic for a few years now. I have the Subsonic server installed on my desktop at home which allows me to stream all of my movies and music to my phone or computer. It was pretty easy to setup.

The dna does not have a dropbox promotion associated with it. You probably got it from a Rom which includes a promotion from a different device.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
No it has nothing to do with any roms. When I first installed dropbox on my DNA it had the 25gb bonus once I completed their tutorial. If you Google "HTC DNA dropbox" the first link from dropbox.com has all the details.

Yep, Dropbox 4.0/4+ bonus is not available for Verizon. Some people were able to get it from custom roms. I received a small bonus when i was on a custom rom with my thunderbolt so maybe that is why I cant get the second 4+ (25gig) bonus on my ViperDNA. You might be only able to receive the bonus (w/ custom rom) if you have not received any other sense bonuses in the past.
I My Google music uploaded on my pc stopped working and I get the couldn't connect to Google play. I have tried un installing reinstalling and disabling av as well as sent logs to Google and tried the access code and it still won't work. I have been working with Google for 2 months. So today I got an email and they have forwarded my case to a supervisor because the rep I initially got was horrible and they also credited me 10$ for inconvienece. Which is nice but it's still not working. I have had to transfer music to my laptop and upload which I use only for school so it's a pain in the butt has anyone had this issue and found a fix for it just curious because I don't think Google knows what to do.

Have you tried creating a second gmail/google account and using that for music? Your phone can have several google accounts setup. I have a google account with all my music synced to it; and all of my family put that account on their phone, in addition to their own personal google account. That way they have access to the same music, and we only sync the music from the computer to one account, instead of many accounts.
No my account is fine it's the upload program for the pc that doesn't work. It says it can't connect to the Google play servers so I can't even get into the sign in app...

[Q] how download music

Ok I am totally at a loss. How do I get my iTunes music down to my HTC One?
I tried:
1) HTC Sync Manager - it crashes, restarts, and repeats so I uninstalled it
2) I installed Google Music and uploaded some songs there - not showing on device
3) I connected USB and tried dragging from iTunes to drive representing device - no dice
Why is it this hard?

Get the HTC sync manager from the HTC website. It will import from iTunes and sync to your phone. No annoying middleware to install on the phone like isyncr or anything.

HTC Sync was too slow. Windows Media player was too slow. iTunes obviously won't work.
I just went to my music folder and dragged my music to my phone.
I did not find sync manager slow at all. Could be the storage drive it is writing data to is slower at writing than mine... Who knows. Ymmv on this stuff regardless.

Convert your itunes songs to mp3s and drag them into a file, then put that file with your music onto your one.

I decided to just drag all my artist folders created by iTunes in to sdcard/music. Don't have to deal with large sync manager or any other software. So when u add music I just do the music in to automatically add to iTunes folder, then go to the media/music folder and drag the newly created artist folder on to my phone.

Ive heard doubletwist has a good app to transfer music. However I recommend ditching all that and just use Spotify and pay for premium. ^.^
go to my music folder , copy it to the phone:laugh:
