It's the System Power Savings icon. I've been looking to replace it as I always have it enabled but the icon annoys the hell out of me. I did find one in the systemui.apk however it's green and the icon on screen is grey and much smaller.
Anyone know specifically where to find it or how to disable it without installing a new OS/ROM?
Hi
Click on the word "Modded" in my signature for a thread that should help you.
What rom are you using? I am running stock jellybean and don't get an icon when powersave mode is on. Easiest way I found to locate an icon is use your file manager ( I use root explorer) and extract .apk that has Icon ( systemui, framework, twframework). Navigate to folder containing extracted files and search. In your case search powersave. I found the icon you described but it is for powersave mode off in quickpanel. It is in systemui/res/drawable-xhdpi/touchwiz_quick_panel_icon_powersave_off.png

This mod should work with all stock, and modded sony ericsson frameworks. Tested on .24, and .504 - works like a charm.
NOT TESTED ON X8! (but probably working...) And NOT FOR CM6/7, and all other custom / non-SE based roms, sorry... Only SE FW!
SCREENSHOTS:
Tutorial HOW-TO-INSTALL:
- Open framework-res.apk with 7zip
- Select "res" folder from downloaded archive, and drag him to opened 7zip window
- When prompted "Are sure You want to copy...?" select "YES"
- Close 7zip
- Push framework-res.apk to your phone

Please have in mind, that it's the only fast, and safe method. Don't try to update framework-res.apk another way, or You get a bricked phone after pushing file to system folder!
If You aren't sure how to do this please ask. Asking don't cost, and can protect from messing up Your phone!
The safest way to push framework-res.apk to Your phone is using ADB Mask Controller. When You f*ck up Your phone is always a chance to get back with this app. Please be careful, and read everything before You try to install!

Anyone know where to find the location of the wallpaper files ?
gallery ??
I mean as in finding the picture in the directories ..
I want to copy one set of wallpaper and put it i nto another tab
they're in Launcher2.apk. Just open it with 7-zip or something.

Found it !
Thanks !!
problem now is I upgraded to 3.1 .. and the launcher2.apk changed to the 3.1 wallpaper
Any idea how to revert back to 3.0 :lol:
Is anyone successful in extracting this Galaxy Tab wallpaper?
http://www.55tablets.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/samsung-galaxy-tab.jpg
That's not an official Honeycomb wallpaper, at least not that I know of.
You can grab them all here. The one I use is Glowy Hex, looks awesome on my Tab:

The beauty is that you don't need to rebuild the launcher2.apk to insert those images... if you sync your tablet with a Google account, all you have to do is upload your preferred wallpaper to Gallery and use it as background.
If you ever flash your tablet or do a permanent erase, once you restore your Google account, it will also restore your background even if the image is not present anymore in your tablet sdcard. I was surprised to see that, when I did a complete wipe. It took a while, but eventually the background popped... I don't remember if it showed after I restarted the tablet... I know that after the initial app re-sync it was not there but it showed like magic 15-20min later on my tablet.
I don't suppose anyone has the TouchWiz wallpapers in a zip file?

Hi,
I'm working on making a theme for the Samsung Galaxy S and one of the things I've been looking to do recently is to change the text colour of the notifications in the pull down menu. So I edited some of the XMLs and it seemed to work...almost. Here's a screenshot below of what I've done so far for reference:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The media scanning entry here shows what I can only assume is black text where in fact everything else as far as I can see is the green colour I intended it to be [#ffa4c639]. I can't seem to figure out why this is. Here's a list of the XML files I've modified so far to get to where I am:
framework-res.apk
/res/layout/status_bar_latest_event_content.xml
SystemUI.apk
/res/layout/status_bar_call_ongoing.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_icon.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_latest_event.xml
Have I missed something out from this list? If you need me to include anything else here just let me know .
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks .

THat covers the normal but alot of apps dont refer to those color codes and instead use ones defined by the app its self. Reason that dark menu themes will always have black on black issues with some apps.
I would find the apk that controls the media scanner and decompile it and look inside that

It is because of a small fault in 9patch .png
I have modded it -- try this one GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
See this [App][ICS]Google Quick Search Widget
I am not a developer, but I've done my first mod.
It's for noobs like me, and it's made for stock rom, russian MG2 versión. You need to have your phone rooted
You only have to copy this file to your sdcard, and then, with root explorer or similar file explorer, copy it to /system/App overwriting the existing one.
Please, before doing anything make a backup of that file.
After copying it, reboot immediately. May be you could see a popup saying that SystemUI has closed, but it's normal.
I've modded it only to have 5 toggles, so I won't see anymore that ugly movement of the toggles. These five toggles are: wifi, mobile data, silent mode, location (GPS) and bluetooth.
I think theye are the most used, aren't they ?
Bye,
