Hello Devs
This is a quiestion Type thread to share ideas and solutions to Unroot Galaxy S2 Plus I9105/P.
I have tried odin to flash stock firmware for unrooting but odin failed to do so.
Errors When i select PDA(.md5) File downloaded from samsung-updates.com>>Incorrect Parameters
When I Select .tar file by removing md5 extension.>>Odin communicator has stopped working.
Note that i used triangle away to reset bin counter but after that using above method I am unable to restore to factory version.
Thanx
Have you tried to unroot in superuser app? Go to settings and press unroot
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S II Plus I9105P
ROM: Babba ROM
unrooted but stock recovery cant appear
i want to remove cwm and put stock recovery.
Ok. Then I don't know what to do. Maybe there is some same kind of topics for other devices.
Unrooting is easy.
The link below is a unrooting file, just flash it in recovery via CWM recovery. Then it will automatically uninstall busybox and superuser. If it doesn't work or are there any questions you want to ask, feel free to leave a question or PM me.

I don't think your warranty will come back since you have already rooted it and the warranty is gone already. But either way, congratulations on your success.
Derp.
You can just download the stock firmware and flash it via Odin...

If i rooted my phone and i have the default rom i can still update it via kies?if the answer is no can you guys tell me what i have to do to unroot my phone so i can update it via kies?
sry for my english
flash the complete tar packages with odin. The build number must be identical to what you had before rooting. same for CSC/PDA etc.
what do u mean with flash with odin?a full unroot doesnt solve the problem?or using triangle away?
can you tell me how to do that the flashing?
triangle away only makes your flash count reset to 0, you can download the original firmware and flash it with odin, there are loads of tuts about how to show you how to do this.
i dont understand why my status say that my phone is modified if i didnt changed the rom..it`s the stock rom..
you can do install software updates via kies, or by od in 1.85. with updating lose permits of root, after run tuo procedure for obtaining permits off root.
its modified because you have rooted it, there for you have void your warranty
i just run triangle away then i wipe data/factory data and now my device has normal status
but i got another problem..when i did full unroot on supersu it didnt removed the CWM and now i have CWM installed but i cant use it bcuz i dont have root permissions..so is there any way to remove CWM?
ps.i made a factory reset and i still get the cwm app installed..
Bascially got my galaxy S2 I9100 a few weeks ago , i am pretty familiar with android and know my way about , so the first thing i did was root stock ROM with Cf Root then the second thing i did was flash the Siyah Kernel via odin then dual booted a few roms such as RR or Paranoid Android. As the Siyah kernel enables dual boot i kept my stock 4.0.3 but replaced the launcher with the touchwhiz ux launcher found on the galaxy s3. Since i have flashed various roms and also removed them ect. I have been seeing on XDA that alot of people sent their galaxy s2 to warranty and it didnt get fixed as the "download counter" showed that custom software had been obtained and flashed within the device & that one way to fix it was by downloading well known developer chainfires "Triangle Away" apk in order to remove the triangle at boot as well as reseting the download counter to 0. i am just confused as this is what i done get.
-Say i send my device for warranty and i have restored stock ics GS2 rom kernel and so on will they be able to tell without me using chainfires
"triangle away app?"
-If somehow i encounter a "softbrick" or "hardbrick" could i just buy a usb jig enter download mode, plug it in, restore counter to 0 then flash stock ics & kernel for GS2 via odin & get it fixed free by warranty?
thank alot

u could just root ur phone, install triangle away, run it, and all set.
uninstall any app that indicates that ur phone is rooted and there. also u could flash an unrooted kernel too.
when i had to live my phone at service i did this:
-used triangle away
-factory resets
-wipe dalvik and cache
-flashed via ODIN stock ICS rom
-give it to service!

He simple said:
When you are on a custom rom or rooted rom, use triangle away to reset the counter.
Then do a factory reset and wipe cache/dalvik cache by using custom recovery mode. (you are still rooted)
Then flash an official stock kernel via odin (it will not increase the counter)
The counter will say no and binary official and you have unrooted new firmware
with no way to know you messed around with it. Warranty reclaimed!!

Hi there,
A few months ago I rooted my phone using Odin3 v1.85 and CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-PROPER-v5.4-CWM5 downloaded from here. It automatically installed SUper
However I want to un-root it now and send it back to Samsung to fix a niggling hardware problem. I have my USB cable. I tried to search the existing threads in the forum with no luck.
Can anyone tell me how I can unroot my phone?
Thank you in advance.
try here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
download any suitable rom (any would be OK, but try to found one that is from a nearby location) and flash it through odin. after that if anything is not working properly, flash it again.
try to format data, cache dalvik and /system before flashing it through ODIN
flash ur stock rom and ur root will be gone
or also u can unroot it by using this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719
Don't forget to reset custum binary download counter.
So use triangle away at first.
Thank you for all your replies.
I may add, only a few days ago Samsung released an update for the phone (this was done using Samsung Kies). Since then, I am not able to root access my phone (i.e. when I try to use Triangle Away or SuperSU it says "there is no su binary installed")
Does this mean I need to re-root the phone and then un-root it afterwards? Because I can't use Triangle Away to reset flash/binary counter.

I have. It was rooted properly before but after I installed the update about a week ago, it has removed root access from my phone. Do I need to re-root it then, before un-rooting it?

Updates from Kies remove root. Root it again, reset with Triangle Away. Into recovery, wipe data and cache. Fomat /system to remove cf root left overs. Flash stock Rom from your country in Odin. Make sure Kies recognizes the flashed Rom as local

Ffs use the search and read the necessary information, I see the same questions time after time all because people can't be bothered to look for themselves, the galaxy S2 is the easiest phone in the world for rooting, un rooting and flashing custom roms, if you can't be bothered to learn the basics then I can't be bothered to help you (rant over)

make a efs backup before first use efs pro or k tool
if u want to install a custom rom from recovery
go to recovery wipe data / cacche
then install from sd select the file and ur done
if u want to specifiaclly format it then u have option for that in mounts and storage but after that make sure u flash a rom in recovery

Hi guys,
my home-button of my i9300 is very buggy and loose, so I want to give it in for repair!
At the Moment i use Jelly Bam (AOSP - CM 10.1 based on 4.2.1)
so for my warranty i have to unroot etc. => factory state (Stock rom with software branding)
I read some Tutorials and watch videos, but i always see people using Samsung Stock ROMs and then the start TriangleAway for reseting the counter. (the counter thing is new for me because i came from HTC Desire^^)
so my QUESTION is:
Can i start and reset TriangleAway on my AOSP-ROM-> reset the counter and then flash the STock rom with odin? Or should i flash a Samsung ROM and after that i shoud use TriangleAway ?!
Quote from TriangleAway-Thread
Note#2: on new devices like the SGS3/SGNote2/SGNote10.1, the "system modified" status can only be reset on some firmwares - they must be stock firmwares!

sry but i dont want to hurt my device or brick it
pleeeeeeeeease help me!!!!! thx
You could try it, but I recommend going to a stock rom, then using CF-Root, then immediately boot back up and unroot in SuperSu, And then wipe data and you should be fine.
Thinking of it because AOSP requires a custom kernel and recovery the bootloader will detect those and automatically set your flash counter to 1, you have to be on completely stock, then you can use CF-root, etc.
