I just got this from a good friend of mine and before I do any updates, wanted to know what are my options? I am not new at rooting have plenty of experience. Though this will be my first time with this type of tablet. Any Rom suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Here are the specs...
Model GT-P7510
Version 3.1
Kernel [email protected] #1
Build HMJ37.UEKF3 P7510UEKF3
Try infamous aokp. Its built by 2 awesome devs and its fcking awesome. Second choice for me is cm10.1/sgt7 ROM by twa_priv. Check the development forum for more choices. If you want touchwiz based ROMs, JellyBeanRom by Toldo is great.

Hey Guys,
I got bored on my stock 2.3.6 ROM.
Any news on the custom ICS ROM for GT-I9100G.
Cheers!

There aren't any. And probably won't be for while (if at all) given there's only one or two GB custom roms for I9100G.
Oops. Sounds like I9100G guys would have to wait for official ICS update. Hardware fragmentation is pain in ar*e. Damn. :-(

i would like an ics rom for gt 9100g too.....
+1
I'd also appreciate an ICS rom very much
Looked everywhere and found nothing.
Devs do not develop for the G model because most of them don't have and do not want to bother developing for it. As for official releases I read somewhere that it is going to be after an official release for the none G models.
Anyway There are 3 threads that I found Devs developed something for G model.

and

I'm having a lot of issues with Homam V3. Trying right now as I'm posting the Dark Rom. But, I can say that the third one is working just fine.
Hope I helped

Just finished installing the Dark Rom. Looks good I'm gonna try it for a couple of days and report back if something else turns around.
I hope development will pick up some pace for the G model since it is being sold more and more in Europe. A XX version of the roms you mentioned would be nice, too. XXKL5 appeared on sammobile just recently
can any one tell me where can i found I9110G proprietary files.
thnx.

Do you mean the sources for the kernel and whatnot?
I'm looking for that myself and could not find it. I would love to customize it.
The link for kernel sources can be found samsung opensource.org

Thanks and much appreciated if you have some pointers or know some sources where I can learn some stuff for customizing and developing.
You probably need to google for that i'll try getting you a few guides or tutorials...best way is to contact a kernel dev...basically you would need linux to start off...
May be this could be useful

Today is 09/4/2012. How many days more ? Still waiting for ...
Till now we all know that Android 4.1 Jellybeans is in slot now. Even SDK is out. Sources are not on-line though. But I believe it will be very soon.
Now it's a big question whether LG P500 can hold Jellybeans or not? As fas as information on net concern Yes we can see JellyBeans on our beloved LG P500 As drivers are almost same so it wont be a big problem to port it in our phone. With only 5-6 major changes JB is almost same as ICS. Some new features are there in JB like Google NOW, Off-line voice text is very cool about JB.
So in short we will see JB as soon as they release source codes.
If you find anything interesting you guys can post here so that we can have faith that LG P500 will have JB.
Happy Hacking.
JB on P500
Of course me and every O1 owner will more than glad to see Jelly Bean to be ported to it.We have stable ICS on our device and if JB is ported then our device will become the most worthy phone of all.
"COME ON DEVS"!!!:good:
Hope we can see Jelly Bean in our device, hope devs can do it as they ported ICS
Sources should be out by mid July according to Google.
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I think that without sources no one could tell you if it is possible or not. Let's wait for sources to be available.
Woots, that would be brilliant.

So many devices already got it ported .
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk 2
I do not think porting will help in case of P500. So many things will be broken. We have only CM9 libs and binaries so it won't help that much. But build from sources will be a great option.
I think google now and offline voice will be in the next gapps, which I am sure will work on ICS

The sense one really isnt all that productive vs the stock android one. I like the rest of the sense stuff so I'd be happy to mod it out. I'm rooted. Anyone have any experience doing this?
Yes there are several mods and ROMs available that do this. Check the development section

Hey everyone. I'm using a (rooted) Motorola Droid Razr Maxx running android 4.1.2 (JB) and was wondering;
What is/are your favorite ROM(s) and why? Including Pros/cons thanks in advance!
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium
PAC man rom I like it because it has all the Mods of "paranoid android" "aokp" "cyanogen mod" all in one rom you don't have to switch back and forth sometimes you want something on cm but its only offered on paranoid or sometimes you want something from AOKP but its only on cm with this ROM you have all of them you won't get bored of it and it still in development so you'll be getting updates for it...cons I can't really find much everything works fine the newest build fixed all the problems I had before
---------- Post added at 08:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:29 PM ----------
I think you were also supposed to post this on Q&A lol
Oops, yea on second thought yea I should have thanks

OP dont bother posting in the Q&A best ROM threads closed due to the nature of them...there are no best...just test for yourself. Thanks
After flashing over 15 different Roms and finding a stable one, I have become slightly bored with this device. I'm on mdk, any suggestions of could mods, exposed modules, or other hacks that can respark some fun?

Flash ME7 and unlock the bootloader :fingers-crossed:
I know how you feel. I bought the s4 mainly for its features, screen size and battery life also thinking development would be insane coming from the somewhat abandoned htc rezound. Turns out that it's not much better. This bootloader is really keeping developers away
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
If your on mdk there's plenty of ROMs to flash,I came from a galaxy nexus, there's not as many as it had but I wouldn't expect there to be its not a nexus, but there's plenty of ROM to choose from and, also y should they be 100 ROMs to choose from that does the same thing 15, 20 ROMs is fine, you got cm, carbon aokp illusion slimbean and more, then you got your ge based, and your tw roms , what else could you want

Be happy with what you get the ROMs are compiled out of the devs free time and they don't owe you nothing, or start compiling your own ROM and use it...
