If an app is configured to only work on ICS and down and not on JellyBean, what would it take for me to make it so that it'll work on JB? Or you know...if someone can do it lol. But I'd prefer to do it myself. Thanks!
Android is retrocompatible, so, if an app is developed to work with ICS as minimum version, it SHOULD work on JB.

It shouldn't take you too long to port it over. Some apps won't require any modifications to work on the new firmware, while others do.

Porting? Isn't that moving something from one device to another?

Does anybody else want a nexus 4 ROM that would be easier to download and use than the nexus four thing that changes it completely?

I know what he meant... but there are people working on AOSP for our phone... From what I gather as soon as the kernel is up to par and booting we will have lots of room to play and ROMs will probably be abundantly available.... just BE PATIENT! lol
Yes everyone wants that. Obviously it'd be much easier and safer to flash it is coming. Just be patient. We've got people on it.

since it's based on stock it should work
Yes it is stock base.
so you can play with and build according to your wishes.
a big part is deodex, so you can customize and make more than a single odex rom.
another big part is odex so it can put a ota update and a larger flow than simple deodex roms.
Sorry for my English.
How come this rom is so large when there are almost no google apps present
By reasoning and logic.
why leave gmail or maps or google + or other version obsolete and always present in system / app taking memory, then you can directly recover the market.
So I deleted the apps that you can manually retrieve the market so that you are always up to date.
And I have not imposed full of unnecessary applications.
this is the best way and the best strategy to get something really clean.
Sorry my english.
NB:
But page 1, a link to the apk removed unnecessary.

I answered,
you have a rom based stock,
you have to make him a present or inflicted what you want.
It is flexible enough to support many hacks.
and if something does not work, you just have to reflash the rom to own.

Spec is pretty mid range like 6.3. No details on resolution though. I have a feeling it's still 720p.

Ugly phone and ugly specs! I hope that's not true...or then I would definitely buy a huawei mediapad x1 or zte nubia x6...and I'm tired of waiting for KK update even note 2 and s3 will get earlier update and our mega is newer device, they need to look at the release date and not the popularity of the phone or its powers, and our mega is enough powerfull too with good roms or firmware past easy 20000 points in antutu...
We are waiting for kk update.. Your powerful point is very good..
Is anyone out there working on getting cm12 to the ace?
I know cm12 has not been officially released but many phones are getting it unofficially.

There is. AndroidARMv6 team is working on it.
When will it be ready?
Is there a thread for it?

Wow Lollipop....
, If it's ready . I won't expect anything "stable", we can barely run CM11 tho [even CM9]..
Keep updated on this site,

Since Broadcomm released drivers for s5830i development work going fast
As of JAN 07 2015 Latest ROM available for s5830i is CM11 , it will be Bugless soon
Bugs Remaining:
SIM CARD not working , not even booting up with SIM
Flashlight
Video Recording
Its Good in speed but still not FAST
So , I hardly think that s5830i can handle CM12 . !!

Dude, like wat
ART isn't included in CM11, you know. ART hasn't been fully ported to armv6 yet, not even with Qualcomm devices. Even though in developer options it says switch to ART, what is actually going on is that it is still running on Dalvik. This "performance boost" is most likely a placebo effect.

First off, they didn't release the BCM21553 libraries because of our phones, but rather for Raspberry Pi, which uses the same drivers as our phones.
Also they only released the HW drivers, not audio or anything else. The audio bugs were fixed by adapting other sources such as ALSA from other devices, rather than Broadcom sources.
It has been ported
