Yes you can use it on other carriers. Phone comes SIM unlocked, early versions did not allow you to add APNs without rooting, that may have been fixed in 4.1.2 update, not sure. Anyway you can find a ton more info here including what people did to get going on AT&T, Tmobile, and various non-US carriers:

Are you sure? I heard it differently.
My family possibly be going to Verizon, and I look around. Most if not all the info I seen so far said no.
If there is a way, I want to know. Since I have the SGS2.
Any unlocked phone can be used on any network so yeah you can use it on Verizon

Yes and no, because Verizon uses cdma and not gsm and your phone is gsm based you will only be able to use voice and 2G Data, 3G will not work with your phone.

Guys seriously? Verizon doesn't use SIM cards in order to use a phone on their network you have to use a Verizon branded phone! Sorry no unlocked phones! Sheesh feeding him wrong information could waste him a lot of money!

Thanks that's what I wanted to hear and confirmed.

I may go to mexico and I want to get rid of my tbolt, and in Mexico there's a cdma carrier called iusacell.. do I need to unlock the phone (as any gsm phone) so people can activate it in Mexico?
Will they need the sim card?

It (hopefully soft) bricks it. ODIN will "Fail!" and your phone will reject the foreign organism, requiring you to flash a stock ROM to recover.
Oh, and probably setting the warranty void flag in the process.
Apparently you're not aware of the fact that the Verizon Galaxy S4 is NOT the same hardware as the Sprint Galaxy S4.
I was not. I find that interesting though. Similar LTE band. Do you know what differences there are?

I have an Appalachian Wireless Droid DNA (deluxe), and I was wanting to know what would happen if I used the Moonshine for Verizon Droid DNA. I have tested and a Verizon SIM card will work on my phone (calls, SMS, Data). If I did do the Moonshine, would my device still work, or should I wait for everything else to be carrier updated? Also, I am on software version 2.04.
I assume your model is the HTC6435LRA? It is so similar of a phone, some people in the forum have even flashed our recoveries and roms without issue (ymmv, just passing the info along)

Yes, that is my phone model. So in theory, I could use the Moonshine for the VZW DLX and it would work fine?

You can get the code from ATT, ebay or do it yourself (which is what I did) ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124544
There is a way to unlock it without a code. I have a Rogers i717 on T-Mobile network. Search the threads. I think the instructions are still there. Barring that, try Google. If I find it I'll post a link.
