Hi, i'm a total noob in the android scene and i'm having some troubles: I istalled cyanogenmod 10.1 in my yp-g70 international version (the fisical home button version) but the home button didn't work, the other two buttos didn't work either so i had to go back to my previous ICS based ROM that works fine.
What can I do to get this buttons works?
Thanks!

Howdy fellas,
I decided to make a new thread for the development for the US Galaxy Player 5.0
Before we begin, I'd like to give credit to a few xda developers that made this all happen
ambrice (Using his kernel source from his CM7 ROMs)
Entropy512 (Ported ClockworkMod)
tdmcode (Helping me when I need it)
Here's the kernel sources: https://github.com/JackpotClavin/linux_kernel_galaxyplayer
Device source is here: https://github.com/JackpotClavin/Samsung-Galaxy-Player-5.0-U.S.-CM9-ICS
What doesn't work:
Camera
Netflix
Instructions

This ROM is in the form of a clockwork backup. What you should do is download the .zip, unzip it and push it to your clockwork backup directory (as if it were just another backup) then, do a factory reset, and make a clockwork restoration of this ROM. Then reboot and enjoy. Gapps are included in this ROM!

This comes with the navigation keys on the bottom (like the Galaxy Nexus) and does not use the actual keys on the bottom of the bezel

Install this boot.img like you would install any other type of ROM in clockwork recovery. This boot.img fixes the bluetooth issue, as well as the fixing the previous inability to download apps from the Android Marketplace =)

You will also have to install the Bluetooth fix .zip from a fellow XDA dev Supermaster34 from here:

i didn't make a zip to revert it, but you can wipe your system and reflash the initial update+gapps
Well thanks for this awesome job
Everything works very smooth and without lags
By the way i love the virtual soft buttons but we need to turn off the light from normal buttons
Is the Bluetooth bug resolved? Thats the only thing that keeps me from using this ROM.
Thank you so much for the effort!
haven't tried to solve bt :/ i don't have any devices
what's wrong with it exactly? everything?
flashed it over the 3-18-IC-ALPHA.zip setup that i had going, cleared cache/dalvik, rebooted. everything works great, however now modern combat 3 won't load.
I am guessing no tablet mode but thanks for these awesome updates! Will try and post my results!

Intl
I have an Intl yp-g70 and I can confirm that this rom works on it. I reflashed nosiyfox's patch for the hardware buttons right away, so I'm not sure if that's a necessary thing to do after coming from ICS.
By the way, I really like the boot anim and the CRT screen off anim!
EDIT
Oh and I love the background now scrolling!
Will this overwrite apps if I'm coming from the previous cm9 alpha?
Sent from my YP-G70 using XDA
No, I just installed it, I still have all my old settings.
Woot! How can I disable the soft keys then. I'm not exactly loving them.
Sent from my YP-G70 using XDA
that's why i told you not to wipe data if you've been on a previous ics rom
everything you do on your phone is stored on /data. from your passwords stored on your browser to do you home screen arrangement to your contacts. all the rom does is update the /system and the kernel so you won't lose anything that's stored on data as long as you don't wipe it (and you don't have to)
Works on 5.0 US thanks ;D patiently waiting for tablet mode support!
Gapps won't work for me, build.prop errors I think.
Just a personal request, but is it possible to mount emmc as sdcard just like the aokp rom ported by rice?

In the older version, Bluetooth didn't turn on at all, try it with your device.
And one request, can you write a changelog for the changes you make?, it is easier for all of us to keep track of resolved bugs.
Again, thank you.
EDIT: I can confirm that Bluetooth still doesn't work.
Wow thx!!!!!

Info:
This mod base on leak rom Sense 3.6 [3.08.401.1] and [3.28.401.1].
I think it can use on all sense rom based on these two leak rom version.
This mod no need to manually do any thing, just flash it zip file with recovery.
After I succeed modify the file, the advanced reboot menu was lost, it also showed in the video. I don't know how to re-add it. But I think the advanced reboot menu is not use so frequently.
Why not 3.24.401.3 or 3.27.401.2?
3.08.401.1 has the full beats support, and tweaks, since I used beats rom with my blue tooth MW600+sennheiser MX760, I cann't change to no beats rom anymore. If the new rom with beats, I will make a new mod(maybe after the post, rommer may add this feature to it's rom).
And if you do not care beats, you will using the rom based on 3.28.401.1 which is the newst one, so I only created this two version.

Background:
What is the mod for?You can check the video first.
The search key at Evo 3D is barely no useful, at least I do NOT want the search function take a hardware key from my phone. From the HTC one series, there is a multi-task key, which I tried is very useful and no need to long press home key to bring up the multi-task interface(long press is very take time and not good experience). In Sense 3.6 rom, there is no HTC multi-task program, but I feel the ICS multi-task also very good, it bring us the switch and close apps function together, not as the GB only can switch between recent apps. But in Sense 3.6 rom, only change the "atmel-touchscreen.kl" file to mapping the key 217 to APP_SWITCH is not enough, it only bring up old GB Recent apps interface. So, if you need bing up ICS recent interface, need modify the android.policy.jar. This is what the mod do, make the android.policy.jar support APP_SWITCH to ICS multi-task.

Warning:
U'RE FLASHING U'r DEVICE SO DO NOT BLAME ME IF SOMETHING GOs-AS-S WRONG
Backup your system first, If you install this mod with not compatible rom, it will cause boot failure.
After you install this mod, the first boot will update system with all apps, this is normal because of the new android.policy.jar, just wait it finished.

Guide:
1. How to install?
Just flash with recovery, but backup with recovery first.
2. How to change back?
1) only want to change back the key function.
just modify the "/system/usr/keylayout/atmel-touchscreen.kl" with RE, change the APP_SWITCH to SEARCH or POWER(If you already using Search key to lock the screen).
2) change back to your orignal rom's android.policy.jar.
By using recovery advanced restore only restore the system partition or restore all or you can modify my zip file change the android.policy.jar to orignal one, and flash it.

Thanks! Can you port it to Sense 4 Roms?
Just installed this and I must say it is awesome.
I'm running Nonsense 3.1, based on the leak, and it works perfectly. So it looks like this is an universal install package.
However I do have one request, since the search button is gone I have some difficulty opening the the bar in the browser. Could you make it so that long press on home button will cover this button?
Thanx anyway

Sense 4 no need these, just modify the "/system/usr/keylayout/atmel-touchscreen.kl" with RE, change the key 217 SEARCH to APP_SWITCH, save and reboot, then you can bing up Sense 4 multi-task program. It is pretty than ICS's.

I have decided to switch from S III's stock firmware to Cyanogenmod 10. Think I miss most are not S Note, S Bump etc. but "kill all" button in Recent apps. I see that Paranoid and AOKP have this, but they are more laggy than CM10 and don't have such a great user feel. I also found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1949753, but it's only for Galaxy i9003 - during flashing in CWM it prompts me that this package is only for i9003 and aborts. Does anyone know such a tweak/mod that can be installed in Cyanogenmod 10 or could compile one/give advises how to do it?

Hi Guys!!
I accidently broke my back capicitive button and only menu button is working.
To solve this I changed WALKMAN key's function in 'pm8085-keypad.kl' and make my MENU key as back key by changing menu key's function in 'cyttsp_key.kl'.
However this method was working flawlwssly in stock rom and all the costum rom which has base rom of stock rom.
But this method is not working in cm9, cm10. I don't know why. I really want to try cm10. So anyone know how to make this method work in cyanogenmod's rom then I will be really grateful.
Thanks
EDIT:
SOLVED!! Just noticed that after editing the file the permission of that file automatically changed restricting any changes on the buttons.
So I changed the permission manually (rw-r-r) of the file after editing.
In cm10 you can set custom action on the buttons

You can add on screen keys to replace the broken hardware keys. The easiest way depending on your skill level will be to flash the PA, AOKP, or PAC ROM for your device.

Sup XDA. So I flashed the Supernexus 2.0 Jellybean Build 5 (latest) + GAPPS for 4.2.1 on my GT-I9300 and to my surprise when I booted it there were a lot of bugs, the keyboard force closed, and the home button didn't work. I had to use the back button. Also the lockscreen didn't appear. Nor the gapps installation screen (the one you get when you first boot your phone).
Help please. Thanks.

[EDIT] Actually i just flashed the same rom but the Build 4 with jellybeand 4.2.2 with 4.2.1 gapps and its working perfectly. Only issue is that when i press the lock screen button, it takes a few miliseconds to do the tv tube effect and actually lock the screen. Whereas on the 5th build it was instantaneous.
Damn... Read the full thread before you use their ROMs,
Now go to the supernexus thread.. You'll find gapps linked in the thread by DEV..
