Wifi works
Data works
just Wifi-Hotspot says error...
some hints how to fix ?
I'm gonna go ahead and close this thread now as it's an outdated thread and clearly a forum for this device has been created now

I was looking to port paranoidandroid to the evo lte. This would be my first attempt on trying to anything to do with a rom other than flashing them. I've read several guides and became confused on if i should try to port it from another device or if i should build paranoidandroid from source and use deck's cm10 as a base. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Maybe Try this

That's just the huawei g300 cm9 rom+libs and bins from official sense rom with stock kernel. Not source based.

But if you download that desire v cm rom, decompile its kernel, get its ramdisk, rename the init.**.rc to protou and then repack with our device zImage, you get an almost booting cm9 kernel. I deleted my repos by mistake otherwise i would compile a cm9 build and flash this kernel to check boot.
@atis, do me a favour, compile with either 7227 or 7227a, just make a flashable zip, and try it with this kernel attached below,,,, just once,
Regards
or give me a cm9 zip which at least flashes properly, and i'll test the rest myself.
Regards
Is there any news about a CM9 build? Were you hell_lock able to create a working kernel?
I'm not asking for a ETA, just asking if anything changed. Otherwise, my apologies if I bothered any of you.
Thank you very much

Well yes I was successful in making the kernel boot. It still has stock features so I didn't release it yet. Btw my sources are there on github.
I will release my kernel on 22nd most probably . Right now I am having my exams

Hello guys,
we already discussed in a few threads on this one. But today I found out that there is a system dump of HTC Desire 601 right here on xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47693848&postcount=22
Maybe this will help us to port Sense 5 with 4.2.2. The only problem is, the resolution of Desire 601 is 960x450, so we need to resize the apps. But specs are similar to ours, so it may be possible. What would you say?
EDIT: The system dump is for Single SIM variant, before you start asking.

Hope port is possible. Would be great to have 4.2.2/Sense 5 on DX...
@ckpv5 : you've done big work in porting 4.1.2/Sense, so what do you think about this?

But about kernel, it's under work here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437255
So if they can get it working for cm10.2, maybe it couls also work for this

We would need a new ramdisk ramdisk for that, because the settings done in the ramdisk for CM kernel won't work in Sense.
What are the differents between Sense 5 4.1.2 and Sense 5 4.2.2 is there any differents at all or ?...
BTW
Yes.Ckpv5 and few more ppl will leave this device.

A solution to the resolution problem might be the Desire 500. With the same resolution as us Desire X.
On the www i read about news that the Desire 500 become a Update to Android 4.4.2 from HTC in the near future
Yeah, but the Desire 500 is dual sim and the Desire 601 is single sim. So we would need to make a mix of both somehow. Btw, as I don't have experience in ROM porting anyway and also not enough time to learn it (before summer at least), I started this thread just to inform you that there is a system dump we might be able to use, to do a little brainstorming and hopefully get some good developes involved in porting. So, is there anyone who can help us?

Can you upload the dump, then I will port it.. also have a runnable kernel for it.-..
You could port the desire 601 version then mix the files with desire 500 dump from 4.1 to fix resizing bugs that's how ckp5 did it first I think

How about a system dump from Desire SV? This also has the same resolution. If it helps someone for a port we could ask here:

Better try it with the One SV, I'm not buying a phone only for a sysmtem dump
If you need a system dump from Desire 601 with 4.4.2, I can get it from a colleague on school owning this phone. That should work. As soon as he gets the OTA of course.
