I am trying to root my HTC One Developer Edition and I have twrp installed but when I go to do a Nandroid backup, I get an error that it failed. It appears it is related to that the internal storage is showing 0. When I try to install the SuperSU zip, it doesn't seem to see it but sees other folders, but again, internal storage is showing 0. I am not sure why or what to try next. New phone, haven't installed really anything on it yet.
Mods, please move to Q&A section.

Wrong section but do this, mount the SD and delete the folder called 0.
Moved as it does not belong in the Development Section...

alright thats what i thought, thx for confirming
your opening so many threads about this issue...
simple solution -
go into CWM and format your data, cache, system and sd-card (nothing else or you will brick your phone).
plug your phone into the pc and within cwm go to "mount and storage" and then choose "mount usb storage".
this will enable you to go into your internal sd-card from your pc.
copy your CWM zip into it and install it as you already know..
good luck!
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Ok i am new to this phone, just some questions. I am coming from NEXUS S.
First of all, I flashed CWM 4.0 using ODIN, so how did it update itself to 5.0??
Second, with 4.0 I dont have any problems, but with 5.0.2.7, how do you mount internal memory??
What is emmc, efc etc. In nexus S, it just used to mount internal memory because it never had a slot for micro SD. But since this phone has internal and additional SD slot, maybe there is a way to mount internal memory too on CWM 5.0? On 4.0 i just select mount USB storage and it mounts but not on 5.0. It just says - "unable to write to ums lunfile". How do you guys mount storage to flash roms???
Also, I want to do a complete clean install on this other ROM. How can I flash everything from 100% clean??
Also, on this other ROM, the apps were being downloaded automatically from saved settings under google account. Then all of a sudden after a few apps, it just said - ERROR DOWNLOADING. No more space left or something....but I had lots of space though...whats going on here???
Please help me with this issue, I will be really thankful.
Sorry, don't mean this to come out the wrong way, but, Please search the forums with the search bar, also faq in general and q&a etc. first. Google will help also.
After that, come back and ask, most more experienced users will then be willing to try explain if able.

Of course i searched and still couldnt find any helpful details. This is why I posted here. Please help anyone.
I can't answer your first or third question but I'll answer the second one. In order to get a fresh install, you need to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, and wipe system. After that, then you can flash the ROM you want.

When you mount the phone via CWM using USB Storage or when you use a file explorer inside any ROM, you can find under /sdcard the internal memory of the phone and under /sdcard/sd_external the SD card in the phone slot (if you have one SD inserted).

Reboot on CWM with the ROM install zip in the SD card and delete /cache /data and /system, and install the ROM.
As for the other errors, I would suggest you see if the internal memory is really available or the ROM is using it for other purposes...
after no succes in flashing 4.0 on my rezound, the sd card wont mount and shows "sd card safe to remove" when trying to mount
This question is lacking in detail as well as being posted in the wrong area.
No one is going to help you if you don't follow protocol and provide necessary details.
And post in the correct forum. Thus should have been posted in the general or q&a forums.

Using root explorer I can se my downloaded files under storage/sdcard0/0/download but when in TWRP I can't find storage or 0 directories. Even after mounting everything and checking both internal and external locations still no luck. It does not show the directory called storage in the root directory. How can I get TWRP to show me these locations?

Sdcard0/0 is your external sdcard. you need to navigate to ext-sdcard in twrp. If you still cannot find them, then go to mounts section and make sure your external sdcard is mounted.
Are you absolutely positive you're in root? It's easy to get lost in TWRP sometimes. Scroll all the way to the top and tap the dots until you can't anymore. I honestly think your pathway is just off. Go into every section of that directory until you find what you're looking for. I was mistakingly in my internal storage forever and couldn't find the carbon nightly I just downloaded. Finally realized I was getting lost in internal storage.
Also, if you're using the new 2.5 version, it's trickier. I wish I could post a screenie, but it's across the screen horizontally. Tap in the middle, I believe. It will change the storage location.
TWRP is all I use. It reads it. Trust.

Still can't find my device root in twrp. In root explorer app I can see a root folder and a 0 directory, but in recovery file Manager I can't get up to device root. I can't see the folders I know are there in root explorer. I've mounted the SD card and checked both internal and external file locations. Am I'm missing a setting in twrp to let me explore root?

Hey everyone
i'm having some really strange storage issues :S
i;ve got twrp and rooted stock ROM and for some reason both my phone and twrp aren't seeing new files and are seeing old ones that don't show on my computer when connected :S
when i connect my phone to the computer it shows I have twrp backups yet twrp see's nothing and neither does the file explorer i've removed the SD card to make sure it wasn't that but it's not showing anything new :S any ideas?
External or internal? What rooted stock? 4.2? If do read the 4.2 sdcard data thread in general > sticky roll-up
