Quick question can you get rid of the system persistent power saver mode toggle in the notification bar?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Download NotificationsOff from the play store, then turn off power notifications.
I'm running stock... Haven't rooted... One runs smooth as is...

Then your non-root options to get rid of the notification are rum and coke.
Enjoy.
Us know that's not a bad idea...

Go into your app settings, find the Power app under all, and the clear the data. It'll disappear. I think until you manually go back and turn power saver back on. I did that a few days ago and wondered where it went.

I just hold down my finger on the notification. Select App Info. Then do a Force Close. Will not come back till you reboot.

That's been my workaround too. It will eventually come back even if you don't reboot, but i'm talking about at least a day later.
I actually got used to it being there after a week...

I found this app in the Samsung GS2 forum.
From what I understand this app is also available through the android market. I am not taking credit in anyway for the development of this app just liked it and decided to post it here for us too use.

Thanks for sharing, this is great. But one gripe, it puts an icon in the notification bar and of you drop it down and select it, it takes you to the setting so anyone can change the settings.

Thank you, that works! Also in the setting you can check off the app also so if you try opening the app itself, it is also protected..I should have thought of that lol.

It works its just that my brother and mom can get in with no problem. Haha I'll test it out on some friends to see if its worth keeping.
thanks alot cool app works great on my 3vo
I have tried it with a few friends it kept them out. Not saying its perfect but you can also try raising the security level to high. Just makes sure you take a variety of test pics in different lighting for the best results

I found a flaw though. On sense 3.0 if the application you have locked is on your lock screen, it somehow opens the app anyways, therefore this app is useless.

Are you sure the app was running? I just tried my lockscreen and it locked it for me. Make sure you have the notification on and that the icon is in your notification bar, so can make sure the app is running. Something else you can try, there is a setting that allows you change whether or not you have to constantly unlock it or unlock one app and it stays unlocked

you can turn the setting off where it stops prompting to Face Rec every time you turn off the screen and open the app.
I cant wait for it to be used in conjunction with the lockscreen/unlocking the phone...
It makes me feel like im somebody off of mission impossible or something...

I figured out a workaround...
Install "Agile Lock" (free on Market, and a Sense 3.0 lockscreen that's meant for AOSP ROMS normally) https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nanoha.SenseScreen
and set the app to activate when used...
Profit.

I set this to lock golauncher, which works well as phone wont launch after unlocking it until face verified. UNLESS, you slide an app to the lockring, then it bypasses it and I think crashes visidon, becuse i then have to open the app and back out to make it work again. Would be a sweet app if this was fixed.

Ah! Got it! Yes, that is to clear all temporary notifications. Like email and text message notifications (there are many, many more that flash a notification to the status bar).
Ciao!
Yes, but it's annoying. How would you go about removing it.
One other question. The 3g tethering in CM7, is that through the carrier. Will Verizon change me for using this, our do I need to use a separate app to get around fees.
Sent from my MB870 using xda premium
No, it's not through Verizon. If it were, it would take you to there sign up page when you use it. I doesn't. Will they catch you if you use it? Who knows. I don't imagine you'll draw any more attention if you use it than you would with any other tether app. My guess is, if you don't go crazy with it you'll be just fine. Could be wrong though. Personally, I don't worry about it. But then, I only use it when it's absolutely necessary.

How could we go about removing the clear button? One way is to open your notifications...ie: text, email, etc... The other way to remove it completely would be to disconnect from mobile data/wifi/internet... An easier way could be to smash your phone, but I don't suggest that...lol
What is annoying, the notifications or the buttons???

I thought I was gonna hurl the thing out a window when I first got it. Now I use the recent apps button all the time. I sure miss having them rotate though
And I agree, I miss the search button.
Long press on the home button for recent apps is more efficient use of the buttons. Then the recent apps button could be search.

Unless I am mistaken, this is how the "3-button mod" works. It will be another benefit of the pending root.

quick setting and htc on sense4/4.1/4/5/4+ has been an oddity for sure across the one series and other phones
on random ota/roms they enable it, others they disable it, others they completely remove the code
many sense4.1 ota's enabled a toggle in settings that allowed for switching of "recent" apps to menu...ours didnt for some reason
once you are rooted, custom roms fix this issue...and viperRom allows you to completely remap the long presses of all 3 buttons, and select what you want the menu to be
cant wait for root then

Nice. thanks
Radio is now 1.12.11.1119 and 4G is working inside my office building...no more having to go outside it seems.....
Updates to the Gallery. Now when you open it up you can pick the source
Update to the music app. Same with gallery...you can pick the source.
Update to how it handles 4G and WiFi..basically promising to turn them off when it knows it won't need them as opposed to always scanning.
Update to message app. There are more settings for personalization such as changing bubble colors and background
Low res contact fix which is common for all 4.1 I think
Color scheme change from green to blue to match JB
Pin enabled lock screen change
You can open up the maps to see where your pictures were taken
Stock browser has new look and is JB updated
Power saver
Keyboard has been changed up as well. Now can turn off arrows. Can't turn off prediction (well idk how to)
And more stuff...so far what I pointed out is just what I found to be important to me. I just now got to install this >.< I unrooted and updated.
Edit:
The HTC music app widget in the notification area now has the option to go back as well as pause and go forward
Wallpapers no longer scroll (figuring out of this is on purpose or if there's something i need to mess with)

If you root your phone, install "Xposed Installer" and download the "MoDaCo Toolkit" module, you'll be able to turn on a feature which allows your to disable any system notification you want, just by viewing the app's info.
The benefit of this is that the power saving app will still function.
I still have sense. Trick droid Rom is mostly stock with nice added features like removing the 3 dots and mapping the menu to the HTC logo.
