[Q] 5.0 searching for stock rom YP-G70CB - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

hello
This is the first time I'm on this forum, but I really need some help.
Let me start at the beginning, I got the galaxy player from a friend who got it for free, but had never used it before.
When I booted it up, everything went normal but when I need to login using google account. I couldn't get a reliable connection.
After some google I found out I should change something in the hosts file.
So I rooted my phone tried to change hosts file,ok everything works but my play store was gone.
I tried to reinstall play store but it would crash on opening. After long trying to reset my device.
I thought I would reinstall the stock rom to get the store back
BADD!! mistake, I downloaded the wrong wrong and my phone got soft bricked (phone exclamation mark computer) (I found a one click soft brick fix worked!!). But still I wouldn't boot
But now I need the original 3.5.6 stock firmware.
My galaxy player 5.0 has the code YP-G70CB
I can't seem to figure out which firmware I should download. Because nowhere I find the "CB"
Can you guys help?
tl;dr Need original firmware 3.5.6 for YP-G70CB or player wont work.

The 'CB' bit at the end shouldn't really matter, as long as you get an INTL Stock ROM.
This one should work for you:

Galaxy S2 problem - Chinese Firmware

Hello,
Recently I got a Samsung Galaxy S2, although I bought it in China. So the firmware I have on it (ZCKG4) is the default firmware giving me Chinese apps and localized settings.
This shouldn't be a problem, although I can't put in Google accounts so, I figured I need to change the firmware some how.
First off is this possible?
If so how?
Thanks.
Just download any firmware and flash it via Odin, simple. You can get the firmwares from here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
OR
www.samfirmware.com
Regards.
Hi,
I just tried to update my ZCKG4 firmware to XWKF3 but with no luck. The Chinese version seems to lock-up if you do this. You will get a brick every time. I managed to get back to ZNKG5 (no ZCKG4 available).
How to get around this? Will rooting help?
It doesn't brick, it just boot loops. This is normal.
Normally when you crossflash to another firmware, it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo, and loops.
If you are using stock firmware of another country. Just do the following.
1) Turn off the phone
2) Goto Recovery mode (Power + Volume Up + Home)
3) In SAMSUNG's recovery, factory reset it. (Wipe DATA+CACHE)
4) Reboot.
If should work after that.
If you are using 3rd party kernel, which has Clockwork Recovery built in, you cannot use that to erase userdata+cache to factory reset as it will cause boot loop again.
Some Advise:
Always make sure your computer is not having problems before flashing. Run memtest86 to make sure RAM data is not getting corrupted.
Instead of downloading stock ROM from forums, you can download official stock rom using fus downloader
When using ODIN, never repartition, unless you know what it is for.
Hello,
Thanks for the replies, although I am still having trouble.
So I downloaded another firmware and used Odin to install it. Although each time it arrives at failure and either makes the device become corrupted (Although it can be fixed by rooting it) or nothing happens.
So I've found I can root the device fine, although every time I attempt to install another firmware nothing happens and I can't install it.
I've been looking on the forums and found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192575 and apparently the Chinese SGS2 firmware uses a different format?
Could someone confirm this as at the moment I'm pulling hair out by the minute trying to get the Android Market to appear as well as be able to put in my Google Account details.
Please help
Thanks.
Hi
any help in this case?
i have same problem and do not know how to solve it.
BR/Artur
DUDE!!!
I think i got some good news.
I have the same problem with my new S2 bought in China, no Android market. I've been searching all around the web to try to fix it.
It is still not working for me, but i got a little bit farther though.
I find the hint here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351283
So what i did and what you can try is:
1) Install GoogleServicesFramework.apk
This seems to be the issue, as when you install it you can see the permissions Google requires, and pretty much says the can access ALL the data in your phone. (It would explain the censorship)
2) Install Android Market with any .apk you can find
3) Launch Android Market
The change for me is i can now input my account login. But it still fails connecting to google to actually login. Maybe because i'm still in china and it blocks the connection.
Could any one try this outside china and tell me if it works?
Cheers

[Q] Chinese S2 flashing

Hello,
I am having some trouble with a chinese s2,
I read alot on this forum, and I was able to flash my own s2.
But mine is bought where I live, in belgium. My dad bought one in china.
I tried to put on a belgian firmware, but he won't accept it.
I used odin, but it stops when he tries to upload the firmware:
NAND write start
write operation failed
I've been searching the whole day by now, but I can't get it fixed.
Can anyone help me out please? I have got only 3 days of android experience.
*UPDATE*
I was able to flash a kernel to the device.
before that, I couldnt start up the phone, now I can start it up again.
But I still can't flash a matching firmware...
Thanks in advance.
do you have the soft brick icon now? (the one with a small triangle between the cell and a computer). I tried exactly that flashing other country's rom and I have a failed write. Just try to flash it back to HK or asian rom and see if it boots your phone. for some reasons it should allow you to flash back your old stock rom
Yes I had that triangle, but now the phone functions normal again...
If I upload a new kernel the phone works, if I trie to upload a new firmware it wil fail and the phone won't start up again.
I cant get it solved....
Does anyone know how I can at least get the market to work on it?
I installed market apk on it, but when I trie to open it, it asks for my google account and then crashes.

[Q] An app messed up build.prop, please help!

Hello!
I'm a newbie and I really need help with my bricked(?) phone. First a short intro to how the problem came to be:
I own an old (but I still love it) and extremely rare phone, the original Samsung Galaxy Beam (I8520).
There is no official update for it, so it is stuck on Android 2.1.
The thing I miss is Netflix, and Netflix officially only supports 2.2+, so I thought I could try to fool Netflix into running anyway by editing puild.prop.
But to be safe, I used an app called Device Spoofer. In this I could try different model infos by selecting different phones in a list.
I tried a couple and found one it would except. Then it required a reboot, I believe, and now my phone won't start up.
I get to the Samsung logo and then a Starhub carrier logo, as usual, and then the phone just turns black.
There is supposed to be a way to get into download mode by holding some buttons, but that doesn't work on my phone. I have read something about it being a bug on some Samsung models. But anyway, I have bought one of those usb sticks that puts the phone into download mode, and it works.
I have tried to use ADB, but it doesn't seem to find my phone. I also tried to flash a firmware to the phone, but that doesn't work either, Odin gets stuck at "SetupConnection..". The only firmware I have found online is one called I8520STHJI1.tar, which is the last firmware version made for the phone and the version that is factory installed on my phone.
The I8520STHJI1.tar contains the following files:
cache.rfs
modem.bin
ramdisk.img
SS_DL.dll
system.rfs
userdata.rfs
zImage.img
Is there anything that can be done?
Thank you!
After googling, it seems that I need a certain version Odin to be able to flash the i8520.
What I need is Multi Downloader v.1.7.3L
Does anybody have that?

[Q] Could anyone explain me this please? About Leagoo lead 3s firmware

Recently I bought a "Leagoo Lead 3s" phone, everything was great until I did something stupid and the play store stopped working and whit even more messing around it was just gone, and when I didn't managed to get it back working I decided to try re-flashing the firmware. So I found this page I will write it below if needed for some reason.
After the successful flash when booting it shows that it now "K-series k450" phone which is identical phone to mine, so dose it mean that I can flash other phones firmwares like "Leagoo lead 3" firmware? Or is it just the animation witch is changed from the other phone, witch is very weird to be changed for no reason.

Need Help With Galaxy S7 in Bootloop (Please :( )

So I posted the following on a few other places
(please expand)
I am in desperate need of help . Yesterday, I woke up and went on my phone and it was acting strange. It was saying that apps that I wasn't using had stopped working or something like that, which was pretty weird, so I decided to restart it. However, when I tried to turn it on again, it got to the carrier screen (I have AT&T) it didn't do anything after. It just stayed on that screen and vibrated in a pattern. I was able to hold home + power + volume down to restart it, and I was able to get to the recovery options screen. I tried clearing the cache and all the data, but no luck. I tried flashing the stock firmware but I couldn't find anything new enough. I had rooted my phone about 5 days earlier, but it had worked perfectly fine up until yesterday. I tried everything I could think of and find online. I recently called AT&T up and they're sending me a new phone, but I have to send my phone to them, and I feel almost certain that they'll find that I've been messing with it. Whether it's the giant lock with the word "Custom" above it, or something in the files. I have 10 days to send it in to them and I need a way to either fix my phone, or wipe ALL of my phone's data before then, but I feel like completely wiping everything might void the warranty as well. I'm not even sure that the root caused the problem.
I do have friends who have the same phone as me, would it be possible to somehow get the most recent firmware off of one of their phones and get it on to mine? I have the G930A and I couldn't find firmware recent enough for my device. I have read A LOT about this issue in the past day and I vaguely remember something about being able to get someone at Best Buy or some other store to flash the most recent firmware onto the phone? Is something like that possible?
Please help, I can't afford the $600+ if it doesn't pass. Any and all ideas are welcomed. Thanks .
After reading some stuff here, I have found out that I can somehow make a backup of the stock firmware. I wouldn't actually be using my phone to make the backup since I don't actually have the stock firmware. I wouldn't be using my phone to make the backup, I have friends with the same phone and carrier. All I need is direction on how to do it. I have a Galaxy S7 (not the bomb edition) and my carrier is AT&T, although I'm not sure that's needed.
first do a factory reset then flash latest stock firmware from sammobile

sammobile.com doesn't have G930A which I need. I've been finding it from other places but none of them have worked so far.
