I wanted to check out the new play music subscription service but saw that the music app is no longer compatible with Jelly"Beans". I just wanted to know if this is happening to anyone else using this rom or if it's just me.

I'm on b16 and Google Music is working fine here. Do you want the APK so you can manually install?

The app works GREAT on b16, been using since yesterday. Love the new look and features. One question I've been trying to figure out is: where the hell did the lock screen player go?? I have issues using AOSP lock screen on b16 for some reason, so I have to use TW lock (no ripple or ink effects). Would that be my issue?

Nvm i was just being impatient.
I'm using the new music with no problems. I had to uninstall the old one and reboot after install. Google plus works but I don't have a widget like I had with the last version

My only gripe with Google+ is I still haven't discovered any way to change your profile picture without logging into the website.

Did they fix the overplay issue where streaming music would sometimes repeat instead of moving onto the next track?

Good to know I'm not the only one with that problem.
I thought I goofed something up.
music 4.0
i uninstalled the current music (i uninstalled the orig photon music and i was running google music ever since day one) and pasted music 4.0 in system/apps did a reboot and it runs great.
although i do not see to much difference between V3 and 4.0, but it looks like it runs smooth and there are a few settings added (but then again i didnt play much with the settings in v3)
it also has a smaller widget so i added a shortcut to the app next to the widget. its whatev i guess.

I've been running Music V4 for a couple of days and I haven't experienced the overplay of songs(songs repeat after finishing current time exceeds total time) This used to happen at least 5+ times a day so I'm thinking they fixed it in this latest version. Bravo Google.
So according to engadget this app is available now. I cannot seem to find it on the PlayStore. If anyone has the apk could you please post it?

Yes, I get that too. HTC Rezound, rooted stock ROM.

I would agree.. In the UK and just installed, but there's nothing about magazines and nothing about buying movies
In germany it seems no changes either ... besides the sharing options.

It looks and feels the same as the 3.5.19 the only thing different its the Authentication Problem, Can't log in to Google account after authentication failed. Force closing. Clear cache and data Nothing so Unistalled right away something is not right with this .apk IMO
works for me, as far as the magazines go , google has an app for that as well thats standalone in case it doesnt show up in "play"

Hmm....I have the HTC Evo LTE running stock...which do you recommend I try? I had no problem with the Jelly Bean Google Play app installing and running just fine?

You need to install them both. One is the music app and the other is the music fx.

Music now has a Shazam "Killer" in it. Where you press what's playing, it'll figure it out let you know and take you to the Play Store to buy it.

Odex has two files for it, so it needs to be pushed as a system app with the two odexed files
Okay supposedly Instagram with new video feature has been rolling out for most android devices running 4.1+
