Downloading now,, just got home from work, I have to play with this after I get some sleep, I work nights.. I'll report back later for some feedback.. looking forward to flashing this, im running the international one at the moment.
thanks for ur hard work, u guys r totally awesome,
I downloaded almost all the ruu's till I found out that I couldn't make my rom cause of this new htc ****tttttttt about encrypting this, im running windows 8, and read about this 2 or 3 days ago..
I'll have to learn how to get this going for my personal pleasure of making my own roms... htc always has to do something stupid, why cant they just leave the fffffing bootloader unlocked, and leave the phone s-off, and just let us be...
the first thing I did when I unlocked the bootloader is nandroid without root, then when I rooted another nandroid,.... I keep those on my hard drive for emergency..
I dirty flashed this right over my stock rooted rom using CW Touch, boot took less than 30 seconds. No FCs, no errors, it just works.
Thanks!
**Forgot to mention, the sensitivity to the home and back buttons has greatly increased for me.**
Will bloat returned upon reboot if uninstalled through titanium with this Rom?

PowerAmp player not working
Is anyone having problems running PowerAmp on any of the 1.29 based roms? I can get it to run on 1.27 but any of the roms based on 1.29 won't let it run. I tried winamp just to see if it would work and it did. The stock music player works too. Does the poweramp app just not play nice with the 1.29 versions?
stock radio 1.27 if i flash to 1.29 then flash back will i return to 1.27 stock radio thanks!
Edit we are s-on no radio will change ansewered my own ignorance thanks anyhow!

PowerAmp dead here too.
I have also discovered that for other music apps is that, while they will open and play music, any type of sound enhancement or equalization doesn't seem to work.
Well for some reason I could not get it to flash but I did a adb sideload and it flashes fine

Actually with how HTC did the unlock, s-on for the One, u can flash radios & kernels through recovery without issues. If u need a different radio, let me know.

Yes either with a custom kernel or by flashing the mod for the stock kernel to enable r/w capabilities. This is just stock

Flash this mod from custom recovery to dim the red capacitive buttons/leds (home, menu, back, search). This script doesn't change how or when the leds light up, it only controls the brightness when they do light up.
The install script has been fixed to set appropriate permissions - there should no longer be a need to manually set permissions after flashing.
This mod is not needed for ROM's which have this tweak working in Leedroid Tweaks.
Flash like you would flash any other zip. You shouldn't need to wipe cache or dalvik. Nandroid first to be safe. To uninstall, just delete the script from /system/etc/init.d with a root file explorer.
Requirements:
ROM with proper init.d support
Credit:
fo0you for the idea
whoever originally created the script that fo0you posted that gave me the idea
Leedroid Tweaks app for being awesome and making me miss this tweak enough to create a script
Update: just found that someone already created something very similar to this in the EVO 3D forums (I think), so even though I did this on my own all credit to him for coming up with it first
* Note: The usual caveats apply - I'm not responsible for phone death, please nandroid before flashing, etc.
<------------------------------------------------ information below this line is now mostly obsolete ------------------------------------------------>
UPDATE: This is now flashable from recovery - download dimleds-signed.zip instead of dimleds.zip
For newer Sense 4 ROM's (like Newt's OnE XxX v3.2.1 and ViperRez), there is a minor problem which requires manual intervention. After flashing the zip, you have to use a file explorer to change permissions on the script file in /system/etc/init.d (change permissions to match the permissions of the other script files in the same directory). Alternatively, you can manually copy the script from the zip to /system/etc/init.d and change the permissions. I'll try to get a fixed version up soon.
NOTE: This is no longer needed for Bored's s4 ROM (as of v2.4/2.5)
This is a quick script I threw together to dim the capacitive buttons while running Newt's OnE XxX Sense 4.0 ROM (I'm currently using it on Bored's RezROM S4). I got the idea from another post in Newt's thread (by fo0you) about a script to toggle the capacitive buttons on or off. I prefer them on, but the default brightness is way too bright for me. If you want to toggle the lights on or completely off, get the script fo0you posted. If you just want to dim them, use this one.
This is only a temporary measure until the Leedroid Tweaks app is updated for Sense 4.0 ROMs (this tweak is included in Leedroid Tweaks). This tweak already works in Leedroid Tweaks on some Sense 4.0 ROMs (I think on Joel's BAMF S4 ROM, but I could be wrong), but not others (like Newt's), hence this script. Different Sense 4.0 ROMs seem to have different tweaks working for some reason.
The flashable zip copies a script to /system/etc/init.d
Installation:
Nandroid backup (did I mention that I take no responsibility if your phone implodes, explodes, or you lose data due to this tweak?)
Copy dimleds-signed.zip to root of external SD card
Reboot to recovery and flash like any other flashable zip
Reboot from recovery
New (only for newer Sense 4 ROM's): use a file explorer to change permissions on the script in /system/etc/init.d
New (only for newer Sense 4 ROM's): reboot
If you want to remove the tweak, just delete the 50dimleds script from /system/etc/init.d/ and reboot. You have to use a file manager like ES File Explorer or Root Explorer to do this. The leds will be automatically reset to default brightness when you reboot.
Hey thanks for this! It's nice to have a "dim" option without going full on/off
Thank you very much for this

Yeah I don't think wiping dalvik/cache should be necessary for a mod like this, but I tried it both ways (wiping and no wiping). It was the same for me either way, didn't really work right until the 2nd reboot. Must just be me.

possibly add a soft flash feature? I currently have a Galaxy Note and there isn't a dev that can figure it out. Just wondering, since you were able to dim the captivate buttons, should be similar to tweaking the flash.

I am thinking on installing CleanROM v1.6 that has the camera 1.29 international build on my phone, but kinda hesitate to install the whole rom.
Is there really any significant camera improvement from the base at&t base rom (1.26.502.10)?
In other words, will using other ROM beside the at&t base improve the camera quality?
He lists camera fixes from the International rom as a feature of the rom.

Most likely, there are more tweaks done to the 1.29 firmware itself to enhance the camera.

Yes, must either rename or delete the Camera.odex. Bonehead mistake on my part.
Now, if only HTC releases the revised 1.29 kernel source, so capacitive sensitivity can be fixed. I hate having unresponsive buttons, and I'm not giving up sweep2wake, logo2menu, and more efficient kernels.

Yes, it did work. But now, as to whether it actually has the improvements is unknown; I have a feeling it's in the 1.29 firmware itself. I will find out later, as one of my relatives has a stock unrooted AT&T M7. I'll test it out then.

So I deleted the camera.odex from system/apps and flash the zip update in recovery, it now says "unfortunately camera has stopped"

Still a no-no. Here's what I did (in exact order): Deleted the camera.odex - boot recovery - instal camera update.zip - wipe dalvic cache - fix permission - reboot
Did I miss something?
I am able to take picture from instagrm or other apps, but not the hTC camera app

Hopefully you have a nandroid before that happened.
When I first flashed it without renaming the camera.odex, it force closed. I nandroid restore the /system partition, booted the phone, renamed the camera.odex, boot into recovery, and flashed the 1.29 camera. It worked then.

I have two questions.
Does lockscreen widgets work?
Does multi user feature work?
Please N5100
Lock screen widgets work. No multi user function though.
I might as well turn this into a bit more of a development thread... a question for all the experts out there...
I've rooted, deodexed, etc and it is working great except for one thing. I could no longer connect to my wifi router at work (Technicolor brand). It gets stuck trying to get an IP address. Everything works fine on my router at home.
If it wasn't for that, I'd be uploading a CWM compatible rom already.

Did you make sure your bluetooth was off? Samsung products with touchwiz are infamous for having issues with wifi when the bluetooth is on
I would like a system dump and boot.img or a mirror of the firmware.
Thank you.
EDIT: Got it.
This firmware is completely official.
PIT is the same as the android 4.1.2 so going back is no problem.
If it's an Odin flash, why will it wipe data?

I can't begin to describe how much I love my tablet again. Even though our device lacks an AOSP/CM build this is a very welcome treat.
+1 liking the new build. Being very patient for CM though. Hopefully soon.

The 5100 has a phone modern where as the 5110 only has a WiFi modem. My guess is no.
I wish I could help, @civato, but do not know how to create the dump of Rom; yet I never did "play" a lot: (

Already got it m8, full dump with no root so I can get it really clean. Now of to deodex add busybox and root so it is cwm ready.
Then it is sleepy time and tomorrow night will do some more modding.

Stupidly, the apk i got for the launcher was fake! so i fixed that and i think i undid the wierd setup wizard thing....bootanimation is still a work-in-progress... didnt think it would go crazy even though i followed tut.
So the stable is up for download..follow instructions though..dont want you guys to freak out when launcher forcecloses every second(literally) after you update launcher, so reboot afterwards...also going to fix Boot Animation

hahaha, heads up, I already had a unlocked bootloader and custom roms installed. This installed fine, but the screen was backwards. About 10-15 of letting it sit, the screen reset itself, I rebooted and it didn't stay! It fixes itself after a screen lock/unlock though. I'll report on stability later this week.

Hm...wow that didnt happen to me even after updating the ROM 4 times! Maybe its because the euro boot still stayed? Idk because I'm not unlocked(also refer to Kuma's unlock tool if this keeps happening so you can flash v20f(might fix the problem)) Thanks for letting me though but I'm not sure how to fix that one

If I use the fix will I still be able to use custom roms? This is running fine actually, no random lockups or slowdows. The phone hasn't reset itself+ crashed yet. I've had that issue with a few roms. Did I miss a step somewhere for flashing custom roms? I've always just dealt with it since I hated the tmo rom.
