Hello,
I have an annoying bug with the default Jelly Bean keyboard on my galaxy s3.
I choose 2 Input languages (English, and another one), and every once in a while, the second language disappears(English remains), and I see on the notification panel "Choose Input Method" , and I have to go to Samsung Keyboard settings, and the second language is still ticked but it doesn't show on the keyboard, so I have to un-tick and tick it again.
What is the cause of the problem?
Thanks.

Go to setting -> language and keyboard -> android keyboard settings. I assume you were using the stock keyboard. You can also just hold the ?123 button and the same screen should appear

Hi all,
i couldnt find anything on the forum about this. I have a german dock keyboard button layout, but the input is still in english. This means, that Y and Z are switched and a few other buttons, so thats quite annoying ;-)
Couldnt find a setting to change that, can someone help me out?
Cheers
By default the keyboard uses the key layout based on the system language, but you can change the key layout in the settings under language&input/configure input methods/active input methods/
Deselect "Use system language", select "Asus German(Germany) Keyboard" and deselect "Asus English(US) Keyboard" (you have to do it in this order, you can't deselect English first)
Also make sure you are using ASUS' keyboard as your input method. If you select anything else the Keyboard won't work correctly.
I want to use another keyboard, however when I go into settings the stock keyboard and swipe are grayed out (I cannot deselect them). I can check the new keyboard, but if I reboot it becomes unchecked and the keyboard reverts to the stock keyboard or the swipe keyboard.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
I'm not having that error. Mine has the stock keyboard and ICS grayed out as well, but my other keyboard stays checked as default upon reboots.
thanks for the reply... maybe I'll wipe my phone again and start fresh...
Hi,
I tried to get Chinese handwriting keyboard on my new Nexus 9. Installed the Google Pinyin Input keyboard, installation went ok; but when go to setting -> Language & Input, I just dont see the new Google Pinyin Input keyboard option. Only has the default Google Keyboard.
on my old Nexus 10, I dont have this issue. Any idea what went wrong?
oops, got it sorted.
apparently i go to the setting and change my tab language to Chinese, then the new keyboard show up. And then i just switch back the tab language to English, Voila.
