Hello all,
I have installed the rc2 version of the official cm 10.1 and my MMS is not working. I have read through so many threads and I haven't found a fix for it yet. Please help me. Thank you for any and all help.
As we all know cm10 is still under developing stage , i mean in beta stage so it having some bugs. Try do full wipe and wipe caches too if it doesn't work then install some other ROM which is complete and without any bugs like liquid smooth or any custom stock ROM.
Look out into development section
Thanks!!
Please hit the thanks button if i helped ya in anyways !!!
Yea I have tried all that. I have even tried liquid smooth but I still can't send MMS.... I feel like everyone else has it fixed and I don't. So am I just missing some little thing to do? Or what?

I tried this and it did not fix it. I have done some note reading and haven't found much. I have tried gosms and when using it I can send and recieve MMS messages. However I don't like it and I would prefer to use the stock messaging app that comes with cm10.1. I don't get why it works with a different app. Anyone have any ideas? Or any ways to outright fix the problem?

Alright so I've noticed a lot of people suffering from the "phantom voicemail" notification when using AOSP ROMs and I, myself, are one of them. Using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465504 I was able to successfully rid myself of the notification. Since a lot of others are too suffering I decided to do the mod on all the current AOSP ROMs (if I missed any just let me know and I'll make one for the ROM).
Just flash in recovery like a normal zip or extract the phone.apk from the zip and push with ADB or use root explorer.

Thank you for all your efforts pwnyourace! Much appreciated.
While I appreciate this greatly, I'm not sure what I did wrong. I wiped cache and dalvik then flashed in Recovery. Voicemail notification is still there. I am using P9 of Evervolv.
this "ghost" voicemail problem keeps me away from most aosp roms, however evervolv and deck ics builds have the option to disable voicemail notifications so not sure what else you would need for those two but whatever. thanks for sharing though. having the others there opens up some options now. heck i might just try miui again since it just got updated!

I have been running them with zero issue for about a month or so. The ones I have tried appear safe.

It's not built for the Nexus, it is built for the Endeavor (One X). I am tweaking the zip, will post results.
EDIT: As expected, it doesn't work. Phone just bootloops. I will be working on a AOSP ICS conversion mod for our own device. I will post it when it's somewhat off the ground. For the record, the AOSP apps from that ZIP do work, just extract them and push them to system/app I tried contacts, phone and MMS so I can vouch for those. Only thing is (and this even happens with the MMS app ported to our phones) MMS messages don't work, only SMS.
EDIT 2: I was going to hold off on releasing this until it was a bit more completed, but seeing as more than three of us want a stock looking phone. Here you all go :

Thanks for checking this out for me! I ended up getting stuck with work all day yesterday and didn't have time to flash...
Not sure if any of you have run into this yet, but I am using Pocket Casts to listen to netcasts, when I shut off the screen everything keeps playing fine, however when I turn back on the screen the phone soft reboots. Does it at the same spot every time. I tried moving the netcasts to the sdcard instead of external sd as a test. Still does it...
This happens to me on both the Aug 8th and 9th build from DAGr8, But does not happen on any of the other JB previews builds. And Yes, I wiped everything
I use my phone in the car for netcast listening a ton, so this is something that keeps me from using this daily unfortunately.
Other than that, everything else seems to run great. just seems like an odd thing to reboot the phone, maybe it has something to do with the audio players and how they interact with the lock screen as they like to put up a player wallpaper thing on the lock screen...
Thanks for the Q&A!!
I can not get google now working. It hangs on initializing then cant connect. I know on jamies cm10hybrid/ jb we needed the internal kernel....DAGr8 Do you think that kernel would solve the prob? Im not sure if you use Gnow....or if you recommend using a diff kernel...( going to re read op now too)

The hotwire-internal kernel should work fine with DAG's JB rom, not sure if it'll fix your issue or not, but should be easy to test. But I don't see a kernel package from DAG if you wanted to flash back...
I prefer the hotwire-internal kernel myself as it has BLN support where as the R5S1 included with this rom i think does not? if that's important to you...

I know we're not supposed to ask for ETA's and im not but does anyone know (in lamen's terms) the reason why camcorder doesnt work? Is it a compatibility issue cause JB is so new?

Loving the Aug 9th build except for a few issues (incl the Google Now referred to above) - the changelog states that "wake on volume" is built in but it neither works nor do I see a setting to turn it on like in other CM9/CM10. Do any of you have that?
On the kernel thing would we just flash the AOKP JB and then flash hotwire's internal.zip, then followed by JB Gapps?

I can't find that setting either.
As far as the flashing sequence, that should work although I did AOKP, JB GAPPS and just a few minutes ago flashed hotwire's internal. No issues to report.
I used to change kernels all the time on my Nexus, I would just flash the kernel whenever, no wiping. Can't hurt to wipe cache/dalvik, but no need to reflash the ROM.

Features and changelog?
I'm sure I will feel dumb when someone answers this but I could not find the feature list or changelog for JB. The AOKP site only references ICS milestone 6 as the latest. I tried following the links from the DEV thread and I tried a google search which led to rootzwiki but I didn't find anything for the Galaxy Note. I'd like to try this out but I'd first like to know what is/isn't working.
CPU Settings Do Not Stick
I have gone into the performance settings and I usually change my min frequency to 192 (max at 1566) and checked on "set on boot"- I have noticed that the frequencies do not stick at all but keep reverting to 384/1566 - does anyone else see this?
Hello all.
I have been looking for a link to download this rom in the forum (using search option), but all i see is the [DISCONTINUED] thread...
I am currently using epinter's CM10 (best so far imo, awesome rom!). I tried all the other roms based on ICS (AtrICS, ICSrom - thank you so much for your hard work!) but I always get a problem with the screen flickering. I do the HDMI hook up and it's fixed, but then I might get a reboot or battery will die in five ours.
I really want to use webtop / mirror option, but I hate Blur bloat.
So here's the question: Could someone please recommend a rom where I could possibly have the best of a stock-deblured-webtop expirience?
If such a rom does exist
Thank you so much!
