Phone app to make GSM Voice call for CM10.1 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Themes and Apps

Phone app to make GSM Voice call for CM10.1
This is from lastest sync on 18/05/13.
Speaker phone enable by default.
Copy Phone.apk to system/app folder and copy 3 lib file to system/lib folder, and you have to flash modem CWM_I9103XXLQ3_Modem.zip.
If anyone can make a CWM flashable zip please do so.
Enjoin
Khomsn.

OMG!!! It is working!!!
Man - it is working.
Tested with CM10.1 and working fine.
You can on/off speaker, pause, cancel etc.
All Buttons are working.
Need to check with the bluetooth.
Will report after day's of use.:good:

Anyone made the flashable zip yet?
Will appreciate anyone helping with this.
Thanks all for the anticipated help.
Cheers.

Yes, the phone works with CM10.2 (Android 4.3.1). I run it with Gambarou Rom V4.04. voice calls perfect with Samsung headset.
With an older Versions of Android 4.2.2 (Gambarou V3.1) the phone shows, but calls could not be made, the connection always broke.
I hope that helps you.
Send with GT P-7501 rooted and overclocked to 1,4 GHz

[Q] Leap Wifi not working - authentication error (JB 4.1.2 XLS8)

Hi guys,
each and every update I am running in the same problem, getting the WIFI to stop working with my companies Cisco LEAP.
Today I updated to Stock XLS8 JB 4.1.2 and WIFI is returning an authentication error.
I recreated the LEAP profile using the Leap Wifi Free app.
Last time I needed to patch the wpa_supplicant binary to get it working.
I also found some threads and also android bugs pointing to it (but this states it should work in 4.1.2 but not on 4.2: android issue #40023).
Do you have the same problems? Do you have a solution?
thanks
Christian
PS: Sorry if this topic is not new, search is currently not working.
Can't believe I am the only one
I have it too.
I was on jellybean LSJ & it was working as it should. as soon as I updated to LS8 it stopped working.
I too get Authentication Error. Could connect when on 4.03, but not since update to JB.

I also tried 2 custom roms based on LS8. Alliance v6 & Biftor v5. they both have the same problem. plus, I tried to change the modem but still the same.
I'm pretty sure it's related to the base itself not roms nor modems or even phones.
never had this problem before.

Doesn't depend on kernels. I tried all of them.
only on this wifi folder. make sure the files REALLY replaced LS8 files. turn offf/on. wifi should work. unless you have a problem somewhere else which is the router. try resetting the router
I'M USING OMEGA 19.2 TOO
I asked that because my wifi button was frozen after replacing those files and i couldn't enable the wifi back, even restoring a directory backup, so i had to reinstall the rom, now, i upgraded to a clean install omega 20 with siyah 6b4 and the wifi problem persist. :/

GT with CM10.1 (JB 4.2.1) and enabled phone calls

Heyho,
i'm having a Samsung GT (P-7500) with CWM and cyanogenmod 10.1 (JB 4.2.1) and enabled phone call.
And there is the problem with phone calls:
-> I can do a call to every one - Works fine.
-> I can't see/hear any incomming call, I also can't do incomming phone calls.
Is this a problem between my chair and my GT, or what can i do to have incomming and outgoing phone calls?
I'll to be glad for having a solution.
Thx for any helping response.

I'm replying here as i just registered and am not allowed to post in the Dev forum topic that would be more suitable http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231110&page=2. John you have been posting there too, so I hope you could maybe help.
I flashed the latest CM 10.1 4.2.2 today (all worked perfectly fine) and followed the instructions in the thread linked above to get phone call functionality -> installed CWM_I9103DXLP2_Modem.zip & P7500_fix_calls.zip. Now when I reboot everything seems to work as expected even phone calls work, BUT the connections to WIFI and mobile data drop every few seconds. I installed files from TWRP recovery as this is the one that supports CM 10.1, may that be the problem? I was think that because the modem file is called CWM...?
Anyone who could help either to get it working, or help me get back to wifi functionality even if that means phone would not work?
thanks a lot for your help in advance!
Edit: Problem solved. reflashed the latest CM 10.1 and gapps. Applied the phonecall fix without the modem fix and now everything works just perfectly.
Good. I am glad you were able to solve the problem.
Cheers.

Hi aslak89,
Thank you for the port.
Currently I am running Stock 4.0.3 on a i9100 which is a converted SHW-M250S.
Just to confirm, please comment on the below steps if my understanding is correct.
Now, for me to install your updated ROM,
First I should flash Jelly Bean KSJMB1 for M250S (my converted i9100 back to M250S using a Korean M250S JB PIT file [with a different partition size than the regular M250S PIT file] and by using Odin.
Then, install your SHW-M250S_MB1_DisasterMOD_ROM_V2.zip using CWM? (If I flash the stock JB KSJMB1, How will I be able to get the temporary CWM?) (Or should I check for a pre-rooted JB KSJMB1?)
Could you please post the rooted version link if you have?
I am downloading the file from https://hotfile.com/dl/194281908/deb93f2/M250SKSJMB1_ROOT.ZIP.html and hope it will be a rooted version.
Could you please be a little elaborative in your steps for such scenarios? (cases the user has converted M250S to i9100)
Also does this has any fix to remove the 80 character SMS limitation, dialer issues, and other usability issues like extremly off-compass and GPS and very low vibration issues?
I believe the vibration, compass and gps should be fixed by moving to JB KSJMB1, but I just wanted to know about the SMS issue and dialer issue. Atleast if the SMS is fixed, I can live with the dialer!!!
Thanks for all the hardwork and I am willing to move back to M250S because of the above mentioned issues! I just hate the low vibration becoz most of the time, the phone will be on vibration mode due to my nature of work!!!
Sorry for asking too many questions and dumping them in a single post, but I have nobody to ask but you about the modified rom for M250S!! Not many seem to be knowledgeable about it too!!

Yes. That's correct. Just flash the firmware with pit file through Odin, and flash this rom through CWM. But, it isn't necessary to use rooted firmware because it simply overwrites the whole system partition.(and this rom is rooted)
You can download temporary CWM from clockworkmod.com, and you may flash it through stock recovery to use it(external sdcard needed!)
I was using XXLSJ(GT-I9100 JB leaked) before flashing this rom, and there wasn't any problem except that the internal sdcard was wiped out.
For some bugs(?) you mentioned, I never had any of these problems, so I can't answer for them. Sorry

Could you please tell me if I have to install the UPDATE_DisasterMOD_V2.zip too after installing the above ROM update?
Also, is there any system level fix for the 80 character sms limitation with Disaster ROM update? I know I can install another application to handle SMS, but some banking apps do not work in India due to the 80 Character limitation!
Thanks for everything!!

It can be flashed directly from MB1 using either CWM or Tegrak Recovery. In case of me, I used Tegrak Recovery for flashing the updated one. It seems like u haven't noticed that you can both root ur device and flash the rom using a kernel from Tegrak which is recently updated to MB2 based.

i reverted back to the original s voice (version 10) packaged with S3 roms.
it is working fine.
I have an idea but nothing conclusive.
I think the server is filtering to only allow s4's to be used with version 11.
I heard similar restrictions for siri where initially only the 4s were able to use it unless hacked to be used with other older gen devices.
Any thoughts?
Yeah it's not working anymore for me :/
Had anyone thought of editing the build prop and changing the model number? I'd reckon that would fix it.

Seems like the same exact thing happened with the first S-Voice
Heres an article talking about it and how to fix it:

Sounds like we need to do some tweaking in the APK, unfortunately I do not have those skills. Maybe some dev will be interested in it and help us out, but I'm sure they have other things to do that are a little more important
Jelly Bean??
The link that you provided states that is good for 4.0 ICS. What about later versions, like 4.1.2, Jelly Bean? Does it work for that version also?
Thanks.

I got the network error in another s4 s-voice version, after I updated the rom. As I said in my previous post, the cwm flashable zip didn't work for me, installing only the apk did.
It's best that users on different roms try it out for themselves and see what works.

have they done anything more to prevent anyone but s4 users?
No network connection for S-Voice for galaxy S3
I found out that by uninstalling the update that the apk has recentlly aquired it will fix the network issue since I could not uninstall the program it self. It is a sure fire fix.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

[Q][Help] Wifi won´t work after update from Android [4.2.1] to [4.2.2]

Hi Guys,
I´m new to the Android World and to xda-forum.
This is my first [Q][Help] Thread. I´ve used the search function and the goolge search, but i didn´t get any answers.
Device:
Samsung Galaxy GT-I9300 International
ROM: Omega v44.4 - XXUFMB3
Kernel: Stock Rom Kernel
Bootloader: I9300XXEMC2
*#1234# Output:
AP: I9300XXUFMB3
CP: I9300XXEMB6
CSC: I9300OXAEMC2
So my problem as follows:
I flash one of the 4.2.2 Roms and only my WiFi makes problems.
-Sometimes it gets a "Obtaining Ip Address" loop.
-If my device connects to my home router (Belkin N+) there is WiFi shown on the device, but no data goes through it.
Every 4.2.2 Rom i tried [for example Slim Bean based 4.2.2, Omega v6 & v7 based 4.2.2, AOKP Milestone based 4.2.2, CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies based 4.2.2] i have this problem and it makes me sick.
Flash process is every time the same:
Done with TWRP v2.5
-Full Backup
-Full Wipe
-Install Rom from external sd (.zip file)
-(Install Gapps if needed, ROM specific)
-Reboot
If you need more information about device or something, please ask.
I hope there is somebody, who can help me.
Thanks in advance.

Try this extract the WiFi folder from a ROM that WiFi was working on using winrar or simerler (system/etc) dosent matter if its stock sami or aosp next get the zip file of the rom you are having problems with delete WiFi folder fro zip replace with the one you extracted before flash ROM should work ok now
Try a different kernel

This was my last idea i had, but i was to afraid to do it, because of destroying something.
Can i destroy with that solution something, otherwise i will try it later at home. :good:
@Glebun:
Different kernel dosen´t solve the problem.
@JJEgan:
neilster2020 is right, i have a buddy who has same phone and not the same problem using 4.2.2 roms in same settings as me.

The only thing it will change is the WiFi folder which is changed each time you flash a ROM so you have to do this each time you flash a rom aokp/cm10.1/aosp but when you flash a sami based rom you dont have to change the wifi folder as they seam to work ok

Hi what ROM are you having problems withi
If you already have a ROM working use a root file manger and copy the wifi folder from /system/etc but I have had no need to do this on 4.3 based roms

Hey, it's on the stock Samsung ROM (Android 4.1.2) that is working properly the wifi, and only that one. With no custom rom - tried several CyanogenMod(stable), SuperNexus, even bloatware-free samsung 4.3 - none had worked).
I will make a wifi folder backup from that - will report back as soon as I get results.
