Lenovo K900: Does it support UMTS 850/900/1900/2100? - Lenovo K900

It looks like a very well designed and capable phone (OK, a HUGE phone).
But I cannot get a definitive answer: Does it support US 3G bands?
Most sites list it as 2100, some add 900.
A few, claim UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 MHz, like http://shop.lenovomobile.com/ShowPhone.aspx?GdsID=A3200001550&intcmp=H257 (use Google Translate and look in Specifications).
shop.lenovomobile.com appears to be sort of official, so I am inclined to (and really want to) believe them. Also, the Intel modem used by the K900 is definitely listed as supporting all these bands (plus 1700).
I have ordered one from China and want to run it in a reframed area of T-Mobile in the US.
Does anyone here know for certain, or at least can shop.lenovomobile.com be trusted?

yeah,it's an official site,or you can buy from en.jd.com,which is China's largest b2c

AUS and UK Atrix has only HSUPA 2.0 Mbps but support for 900 MHz, why?

I just took a look at Atrix on Motorola AU and UK and in the tech specs it says
"HSDPA 14.4 Mbps (Category 10), HSUPA 2.0 Mbps"
wheras US and CA has 5.76 Mbps (...uncapped that is). But they do have support for UMTS 900 MHz which US and CA lacks.
Does anyone know why this is the case? Is it different radio chips for different markets or is it just software?
Just software. Canadian phone is a world phone version and therefore supports all of that by default. It's simpler to disable upport through software than to have to manufacture completely differnt phones

No the Canadian and US Atrix does not support 3G on 900MHz, the question is why?

Chinese Samsung Galaxy S II

My sister is in Shanghai on China Mobile, and she found a deal on a gs2 out there.
However in Canada she uses TELUS, which uses hspa on frequency bands 850/1900 mhz. TELUS does NOT use GSM. She wants to be able to use it in Canada too.
I was doing some Googling and I found that the China Mobile gs2 uses a different technology for their 3G but I'm not 100% sure.
Does anyone know more about this? Please let me know, thank you.

there are 3 types of phone sold in China
Korean version (with the stuff for korean tv, nfc etc)
European version
and Hongkong version.
they advice chinese customer to buy the hongkong version if in the future china get the 4G. they say the european version wont work for it.
that's all I can tell you, I'm dumb with all the technical stuff
Oh really! That is helpful tho, thank you.

No, the GT-I9300 model does not and will not support 4G. This is the reason why the US Variants use a different SoC, as it has an inbuilt support for 4G, while the Exynos SoC does not.
4g is an absolute battery killer from what I can gather anyway, so not really bothered, do most of my downloading at home or over openzone
I reckon a Korean version would still give you the superior Exynos SOC, 2GB RAM and LTE/4G. I'm looking for somewhere to buy them. AFAIK Korean Telecomms use the same radio spectrum as we do.
The LTE version will soon be available in Germany,
Contact Orange in UK!!!!!!

Yes that would work, although I would contact orange and see if they would comment on this, although try to make sure it would go through to someone in the UK not someone in India who is reading from a script!
If you do buy it from Korea be careful with ROM's and don't forget about import tax!

[Q] Unlock at&t Optimus G to use on international gsm networks

Hi guys,
I live in Vietnam, but do love Optimus G and intend to buy an at&t model. So, I wonder if I can contact via email with at&t to get my unlock code (I will buy one from Amazon and have it shipped to Vietnam). Is it possible, for free or with some extral fee?
I also found some sites that give unlock code for about ten bucks or even for free, but's I'm still confused if that at&t will work normally as an international version on Asia's GSM netwoks or not.
Could you guys confirm or give me suggestions? Thanks a bunch!

From AT&T's site the phone works on GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz (link)
According to a couple of sites, Vietnam has both 900 and 1800 bands available...

[Q] Which version should I get?

Hi guys,
I went ahead and got a D801 (T-Mobile) thinking basically all G2s had all the bands listed in GSM Arena. I sadly found out after I got the device that this is not the case and that the D801 doesn't have the 900 band for HSDPA, which is what my carrier uses, so I'm stuck with Edge.
I'm now selling it in order to get another one that works for me (because why would you buy a Ferrari if you couldn't drive over 20Mph?...)
I've been reading up on the subject trying to find one that fits the bill but I find a lot of conflicting/confusing info so I'm just asking straight out, which version of the G2 do I need to get in order to have HSDPA on the 900 band?
Thanks in advance.
Sprint maybe

I'm not in the US, I'm in the Dominican Republic.
Does anybody know a place where I can see the different bands for all models? I can't find one single place that has them all.

Thanks! That's just wat I needed. I was on wikipedia before but some how I missed it.
Seems like the only one I can go for is the Verizon one. Honestly, I'm not too thrilled given their update record on my current phone (Motorola Droid 2 Global) which is also from Verizon (yeah, I waitied A LOT to do the upgrade but I really liked having a keyboard so I held on to it as long as I could).
I'll need to check how's the development scene for this one (although, I think T-Mobile is the the one with the least development going on for what I've seen) but if the scene is good I think I might go for it. Otherwise I'll get a Nexus 5 which is the closest thing to a G2.
