Question, just came over to att from Sprint. Does rooting and unlocking the boot loader on a gsm phone let me change SIM cards? Never had to think about that on coma. Thanks.

No. Sim unlock is a different thing altogether.

Ive been looking for a while now and cant find a way to unlock the mopho, i tried booting the phone with other sim cards and nothing happens.

The SIM is unlock on your phone. But that is only for international carriers and international use. There are no unlock SIM for US carriers at the moment.
found a good deal for GS3 but its for Sprint.
I see the voodoo unlock but im not sure if it would unlock the Sprint CDMA to enable it to accept Micro Sim GSM. any help would be appreciated.

I just traded in my iPhone 4S on Sprint and got a Galaxy S III. There is not a SIM card slot that is easily accessible. The only port is the Micro-SD card slot. As they did with the Evo 4G LTE, I believe Sprint has embedded the LTE SIM card.

You'll need a micro sim card and yes I've heard from multiple people that it indeed works without unlocking the device.

I picked a new fido micro sim when I got a Rogers one x and once I added the fido apn, it worked fantastic without unlocking. I recently switched to the siii and using the same micro sim, it would forget the apn every time it rebooted. I eventually replaced the sim and it worked on 1st boot. I didn't even have to manually input the apn and it no longer forgets it as well.

Does anyone know a way to SIM Unlock the HTC One? I have the ATT Version and my issue is I use NET10 so att won't unlock it because I am not an ATT customer.

Is there a way to make the network unlock message show up without putting in a different SIM card? I've had my unlock code for a while I just want to use it.

Not that I know of but then again I could be wrong did they not give you instructions with unlock code

No, there is no phone code for the unlock menu. Just pick up a prepaid sim card from walmart and unlock it, if your in the States. I ordered a simcard cutter with and cut an old ATT card I had in an old phone to unlock mine. Or if you have a friend or relative with a newer phone, pop their sim in for a couple secs and unlock it.
