when we greenify an app with this tool then all the processes of the greenified app stops running in background... when we launch the greenified app again then it again starts showing in the "running apps" section under settings option of the phone.... DOES IT MEAN THAT I HAVE TO AGAIN GREENIFY IT WITH THIS TOOL???

No. That's the whole point of Greenify. Each app will re-hibernate after a short period of time. If it didn't go into running apps, you wouldn't be able to open the app. Greenify will hibernate the app a short time after you finish using it.

You cant. It will hibernate each app as it is no longer in use.

1. It's the worst social app ever created. Remove iiiitttttt!!!!
2. Well, there are other apps that need it checked.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this? All suggestions I see are to remove facebook.
For me I would like to keep it on the phone, as I use it twice a week, but I hate that it always has a service running which takes up to 10mb of ram.
I tried removing that service from the startup list, but it puts itself back in again.
I don't care about the facebook updates (eg. notification) I just want the program to be active when I click on it, not all the time.
Any suggestions?
Freeze it if you have root?

I kicked it out of there aswell, but still finds it's way back.
I also disabled it's trigger events... it just keeps coming back.
If I didn't know any better i'd say it's a virus

I uninstalled everything that have facebook/fb in the name, only thing I miss is the share button on Youtube app now have no FB option
Its a small price to pay mind.....
Xperia stock FW users can't disable auto-running apps coz apps like auto-starts doesn't show any receivers! So a lot of apps are uselessly running ; feeding on memory and battery, thus degrading performance and battery life!
Is there any working alternative to autostarts? If not, can anyone develop such app?
Thankyou!

U mean u want to have ur apps available whenever needed but without having them autostarting? U can try limiting the background processes in developer settings i guess

I actually ended up using Android Tuner, that seems to work just fine, but thanks for the tip!
Plz let me know if there is any ways to stop running some apps in background (like poweramp) and force it to just run as I manually open it and after closing stop running in background.

Is there any app like greenify that is available for android 2.3?? I've heard that it's only for ICS and I'm stuck with 2.3. Please help

You could use Titanium Backup to freeze apps, keeping in mind that it doesn't have the same functionality as Greenify, once an app is frozen you must manually unfreeze it to use it again.

In the second post of the Greenify thread, which is also the FAQ section. They suggest a few alternatives for 2.3 users. Such as App Quarantine, or Autostarts.

I know these apps. What I'm talking about is the app that can hibernate, not quarantine or freeze the app....
