Hi all,
My problem lies when the phone is in landscape mode .
The part of the screen just below the sony logo [5mm of it] shutters a lot when there is a video playing , there are vertical lines that distort any moving image . The same occurs while scrolling in landscape mode also[ although not that severely or frequently] so I'm sure it's not the video's fault or the player's fault.Also, this doesn't occur when there is a static image on the screen.
I've used the new unofficial JB Rom for the phone hoping that it was just an ICS problem but the same thing occurs there also :crying:

Has anyone faced the same problem before ? Can anyone help ?

Edit: flashed stock GB and it DOESN"T HAVE the same problem .. will try and restore old rom and check
Edit : tried everything! still occurs ...even used the ported JB rom ... still has the same darn effect ... any help would be appreciated ...
Anyone ? Doesn't anyone else face the same problem ?

Has anyone else had issues booting into recovery mode? I have a 10.1 GT-p7510 running android 3.2 , and i'm trying to root the device. The problem i'm encountering is when i'm booting into recovery mode the screen does appear, however its constantly and quickly moving or flashing. (Like old television sets when the horizontal alignment was out and the picture flashed/scrolled up or down really fast) Does anyone have any ideas/tips?
@i just reflash the original firwmare to do again the root ecc but the problem persist..

have a weird problem and hope you can me help to fix.
i rooted my i9305 (with odin) and tried 10 Roms (flashed with CWM) . Every ROM has the same problem.
I will start my phone it boots normaly...it starts normaly too with 32bit colormode...with every colors and no problems.
After a half till one Minute it changes in negativemode.
Everything is "Negative" ... like the Picturenegative ....
It can't be that the display is damaged or? cause it boots and start normaly.
What can i do to get the normalmode again? It looks really ugly.
Pls help.

what rom are you running at present? you can disable negative colors in accessibility settings.

Currently i am using the stock rom from the link that i provided below in the 1st issue( both the issues are occuring in this rom also).
I m facing the following two issues which have made my mobile experience as bad as hell which are:
1) random systemui stopped working error(see attached image): i m facing this error randomly but more frequently on every rom that i tried till date viz jellyxperia, starkHD, samHD, Stock rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426034 , whenever i click any thing like open any app, view new notification received, etc i face this systemui error. and the second error is
2) the screen totally goes black( power off, but the device is working as is) what happens is only the backlight of capacitive buttons are lit up and the screen doesnt turns on by pressing the power button, i have to remove the battery n insert it n power on the device to fix this issue....
m so frustrated and tired....
please anyonw who have faced this issue or has solution....please reply...

I get the system UI has stopped report with SamHD rom, but the device recovers itself within seconds for me. I don't every had to open the back case and remove battery. I guess it is a ram management issue in these roms. This usually happens when I try to wake the device from a deep sleep.

If you are facing this issue in every rom that you have used, then it might be because of some application backups that you are restoring every other time. I'm not sure though (I never faced this issue). Next time you restore something try restoring just the app and not the data. (I'm guessing you use Titanium Backup)

What u R saying is true. .. i use titanium backup to restore apps n data. ....but that didn't create abt problem in my previous LG OPTIMUS ONE....
Btw what i was thinking was that the systemui force closing is due to using xposed ..?
And the black screen bug due to proximity bug which is by default present in our a116....

Use the previous/older than 2.5.7 version of Gravity Box or Just Change your ROM or use an updated stock ROM.

The problems you have listed are the software related. I also had the same problems before. Now I am using the canvas 4 stock rom which is awesome and all the problems are gone

My phone automatically goes into the small lock screen when booting ...
Can't do anything else ...
So , my 2 questions are :
- how to fully de-activate it ?
- what sensor is behind this behaviour ?
To give you the full story ... here is why my phone is like that :
It falls into water .... 36 h in the rice disassembled ...
In fact , as my phone was rooted , I could play with TWRP , that is a fully graphical and tactile interface ... and I realised that everything is working fine .. ( great )
The only remaining issue is when booting in "normal" mode ... falling in the small lock screen.
My last try , even if was not convince of the potential effect ... was to re-flash a stock rom ...
But there also , I'm reaching the stock rom small lock screen , nothing else

I DID SEARCH BEFORE to ask , but thousand posts are all a bit different from mine so i'm unsure about my issue.
I bought very early (128gb) and always kept as secondary for the VERY annoying problem i have with swypes , expecially with poco launcher , horizontaly. I did always read "they will fix it" with updates and nothing.
**To sum up, it "misses " many swypes by scrolling left and right , vertical movements do seem ok . like in 7 swypes it takes only 5 , or looks like an "half swype attempt" going back to the same tab.
I assure you is annoying.Tried Nova Launcher= i end often to open apps or swype down all closing the browsing tab section .***
Seems like he does not correctly recognise horizontal Swypes movements mainly , No TAP ISSUE or KEyboard problems , those look ok..
Tried to install a different Kernel ( following a youtuber f1 poster) i bricked the phone once installed the "pendulum" Kernel , luckily flashing with mi utility and something else i dont remember i got back to last global 11 .06 ( my bad i do not custom stuff since Nexus ) , all the same though it starts a bit later ( maybe just an impression) .
Someone knows about that problem?And what i could do about in terms of software /Kernel/ custom rom /sure way?Cause there are too many answers, differ so much and i have to study the correct way a bit , before to proceed ( i'm too rusted in everything i dont remember even the correct terms) .

At least if someone recognise or think is an hardware thing. I think is still software as is not 100% times ( like i try to swype and first swypes got ok sometime) . Miui is last one 11.06.0 and i thought it had the kernel/ drivers included to solve all "touchscreen issues" . Again , i swear i did read all i can but threads about are older and too various ( some say lineage+ ***** Kernel , some crdroid , some name just kernels etctec)

Before i found this solution, I tried flashing firmware all through Mi Flash, re-installed ROM on TWRP, tested FPS, screen tested and battery test. But all was OK.
I use a Poco F1 with stock rom (11.0.6.0 Q), custom kernel (65hz refresh rate), FTS-TS screen.
I don't know if these relate help you, but I write for who have these problem.

THANKS i did already before ( i have that problem since day 1) and no difference but i will try again now that i flashed 1.0.6.0
Removing updating even worst if possible.. if i use the left part of the screen ( just to try i'm not leftie) touch is so unresponsive that i would like to throw device on the wall .
