I saw in the galaxy s3 mini and in cm 10 that there is a weather widget in the lockscreen but it's not in the Samsung firmware. I don't know if someone can port it but it would be great.

@martin_carpio17 and I are currently working on this... Although I found the way how to enable it on the lock screen, for some reason it cannot find my location - therefore only an error message is displayed on the lock screen instead of actual weather information....
You try my method but I can't guarantee that it'll work....
Enabling Weather on Lockscreen is just a bool value in framework-res.apk (the feature was always there but disabled by Samsung)
Just go to "framework-res\res\values" open bools.xml and look for config_isWeatherWidgetEnabled... change it to "true"

i have installed cm10 in my 9070 and i can put weather in lockscreen and now cm10 it is stable is in beta 2 but works very fine i love it :fingers-crossed:

You need to decompile framework-res.apk first... Otherwise you won't get values folder....
After that you will surely get it... Then just go to res/values folder and open bools.xml with notepad++
Scroll down and then you will see something like "config lock screen widget" change it to "true" then recompile it and copy the AndroidManifest.xml and mwtainf folder from the original apk to your newly made apk...

Lol I found this weeks back.. but I never shared it with anyone.. I wanted to keep it as a surprise in my ROM
and right now I'm really busy with my ROM's UI... kind of stuck at how to differentiate it from other ROMs
I'm going for a Black UI.... and Here's a sneak peak; although this is not "finalised" yet...

Can you explain in detail how you installed? Using stock rom: I download the file, renamed it .apk, used rootexplorer to copy and then pasted in system/app and changed permissions to rw-r-r . Nothing shows up in widgets nor programs...what did I do wrong?
Well I didn't rename it. Just download and move into the system/app folder and changed permissions. But I should tell you I also DL the "signed" one. When I tried the other it didn't work. Also it will be in widget list as Asus weather widget. So should be near the top of the list. I couldn't find it either thinking it would be near the bottoms in the W's. Anyway I hope you don't mind temp in Celsius because so far I don't think anyone knows how to make it Faren... let me know if you figure that out!

Soft keys are old fashioned, you can emulate all those keys via gesture control even without losing screen space give it a try.

Actually when we add flashbarservice.apk to system/app eventually MW toggle appears replacing the sync toggle at the end...
After searching for some hours in the sqlite editor (available on play) I've found that in settings provider many things are missing...
But by default MW switch is enabled so I can somewhat confirm that MW is not a kernel related feature...
I was keen on sharing my findings hope it was helpful...

It was helpfull for sure!
But the toggle doesn't have to be replacing Sync toggle, that could be simplier by adding a line into SystemUI/res/drawables/arrays
If you add one line in that the toggle will be added, instead of replacing another one.

Some one pass me the framework.jar, multiwindow.jar,android.policy.jar and services.jar also the flashbarservice.apk from galaxy grand duos ..
We r going to take multiwindow from grand (for some reason...which i cant explain right nowand yes it is a firmware specific feature not kernel related issue at all and plz write your firmware somewhere coz it helps ...mine is xxlqe )make sure the above mentioned apps are deodexed
U can take it from Bali boxer's ROM(make sure u download the deodexed version cause his ROM is in odexed format too) in galaxy grand duos development
please note -
i am on a low speed connection and hence I can't download the ROM(a big sorry for asking all those files)....
I can only help u people with these files otherwise please don't expect anything from me...

Buddy decomoile ur systemui.apk and dl some more toggles (google it) and install them (google it fr procedure)
Then recompile apk. No need to sign it
