Stock keyboard for other phones/custom roms

Wondering if anyone is aware of the Xperia S keyboard being ported to any other phone or firmware other than Sony's firmware or the Xperia phone line?
I'm runing MIUI on Xplay atm and where there is some keyboard similar SlideIT , the Xperia S keyboard has a unique design and it's swipe method works much better for me, I have no intentions of changing back to stock for it but i thought it would be worth a try to ask around i have the apk and i've tried messing around with it as far as my android knowledge goes... but i had no joy
It depends on a lot of stuff from the frameworks...
I've been looking also for this longtime ago, Xperia S Keyboard for All phones . my question to all devs is what are the lib files needed for this keyboard ( Xperia S Keyboard ) inorder to work for any android device such as smart keyboard or go keyboard etc ...
please anyone who knows to help on this .
thanks

You'll need to add Sony's proprietary framework APIs. It's really hard to do, and there is no reason to do this now because ICS is very near.

I don't think it's something to do with the framework.
It need some libs files and some change in usr folder file's plus the keyboard apk.

[REQ]Google Now Porting

I have seen on this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224 that have managed to create a porting of Google Now for ics sistem , but in my Xperia Mini the apk does not work ...
someone have the working apk for us phone ?
thanks
You must use AOSP rom like Polish Blood
Sent from my Xperia Live with Walkman using Tapatalk
I installed the apk on my phone and it works just fine.. First make a backup of GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk located in system/app and then rename the apk you download to "GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk" and copy it there with the right permissions, then only restart your phone and that's it. As it is in development some functions does not work, as you can se if you activate voice search, but the widget seems pretty nice and gives a nice look if you want your phone to have a "jelly bean-ish" look...
Just be sure to finish the google now setup, and then turn it off, because i noticed that if i turn on that feature when i open search, the back key doesn't work and i have to press home button to close the app. I don't see to have any problems if that option is turned off.

Phone and messaging app Lag

All U/SOLA/P users know the phone/dailer app takes too long to start. a solution should be found. tried to lock them in ram. it was successful but the lag did not reduce.

Precisely the reason why I switched to cm9. What's the use if basic functions don't work. I had a tough time even when I had an incoming call. The answer button would just disappear. :/

[Q][DEV]Fuel Gauge Chip reset

I've seen a couple of people reporting that their fuel gauge wacked out and reported wildly changing battery percentages. Like going from 85 to 25% suddenly. This is caused by flashing kernels and rom many times over and over again causing the firmware not to show the correct/actual battery percentage. There are apps available for SGS2 to reset the fuel gauge, but don't actually work for our device because of the file name and location is different. Also, the SGS2 has the advantage of being able to remove the battery and leaving out for 2 mins, apparently giving the same affect of reset.
So, what I need is some experienced developer to find out the PMIC used in our device. I've already got the location which the file is stored
Code:
/sys/class/power_supply/ab8500_fg
Knowing this the command line that "should" reset the chip is:
Code:
echo "1" /sys/class/power_supply/ab8500_fg
But this apparently doesn't work.
If some developer or experienced user knows something more about this, feel free to post and join in solving this problem
I am also interested in this thing.... I asked a dev but I have not yet received a response.... I now seek a solution....
Edit: I found an interesting discussion on this topic.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44437276 obviously the path name of the file and change from smartphone to smartphone.... I will try tonight

Yes, the path is indeed changed from smartphone to smartphone. For your SGS2 there are many tool on how to do that, ex. this is one of them FuelGaugeTool

This is a line that needs to be written in the terminal in order to reset the fuel gauge chip. On Xperia P and maybe other NXT Xperias have the same folder and the same line.
Code:
echo "1" /sys/class/power_supply/ab8500_fg
Unfortunately this doesn't work for Xperia P (at least not for mine because no one else tested it)

Hi. Is there any noob-level tutorial for this? I really need to try it. My xperia P battery is discharging my nerves.
Hi. On another thread I found this code here writen this way, with de > between the "1" and the /sys.
Method :
1. Open Android Terminal Emulator app
2. Type & enter
Code:
su
echo "1" > /sys/class/power_supply/battery/fg_reset_cap

I wanted to know how exactly to perform the writing. Also if this alternative code line can be used. Could anyone please help me?
