You cant update to Stock JB in INDIA till now
because RUU is not available for Asian Countries, its only available for EUROPEAN Countries
no RUU means NO JB HBOOT
no JB HBOOT means small Boot partition
small boot partition means no JB Boot Image
SO YOU CANT GO ALL STOCK
STILL YOU COULD USE SOME CUSTOM JB ROMS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239511
↑ this one is PURE stock BUT YOU HAVE PUT BOOT IMAGE ON RECOVERY PARTITION (means no RECOVERY till you have BOOT IMAGE IN IT)
OTHER CUSTOM ROMS

I'm going to borrow your thread for a bit
I'm currently in the same position as the OP (hboot 1.24, shadowdx rom, twrp recovery). How can I update to original JB rom? Simply download the ICS RUU and install it and than update to JB?

I think you first have to install stock Recovery

first hate to say jb update still not available in india
second follow this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40541546&postcount=102 here u will find the nandroid back up flash the boot.img and recovery.img in your recovery
third relock your bootloader (many a times not necessary) using fastboot command in stock recovery
thus you will be back on stock ics but still rooted which is not an issue for jb update...

yes you can make a zip from it and flash it from recovery that is what i know for sure, but i believe it will still upgrade ur hboot. ( this part im not 100% sure)
Yup pm freeza he's a cool dev and he'll definitely give you the info your looking for. He makes the zips your referring to quite often.
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\=LTE
If you open the RUU you can find a Rom.zip file in the temp folder of your computer, copy that to your desktop and extract the system and boot images. You can then flash both of those from fastboot

then u should just download an older version of your stock rom and dont update after that if u dont want to upgrade hboot.
i would just download a custom rom and install that.

7ZIP
you can 7ZIP to view an unpack several .exe files,
i guess it will work with your RUU

4 possibilities:
1- If you made a backup on stock rom restore and go on settings and check for udpates
2- If your cid is one of the ruu compatibility use Europe Ruu and update through it
3- If one user that have a bakup and have your cid restore it and update
4- Update manually hboot and rom with ShadowCodeGaming's guide

[NANDROID][STOCK] JELLYBEAN 4.1.1 SENSE 4+ for hTC_Asia_WWE_1.17.707.2

I am creating this thread because I find a lot of people looking for it in the forum
If you are looking for the stock Nandroid backup of the 4.1.1 with all the updates up to date you can get it from here
The CID's on which this backup will work are HTC__044, HTC__038
NOTE: This is NOT ROOTED
Keep in mind it's the TWRP backup (It's not compatible with CWM)
If you are to flash use TWRP recovery
To get the OTA updates (SENSE 5 UPDATE WORKS FLAWLESSLY)
1. Put the backup on TWRP backups folder (/TWRP/BACKUPS/XXXXXXX/the backup)
2. Restore the backup
3. Rename the boot.emmc.win inside the zip file to boot.img and flash it from fastboot
4. Flash the stock recovery from fastboot
5. Relock your bootloader and reboot
6. Check for updates u must be able to get it cheers...:good:

Although I am not needing this since I already updated and I am not an indian, First of all thanks a lot mate for providing those links and over all help. But I have a remark about your boot.img.
I am not sure if renaming it will make the boot.img work, It's best advised if you keep it with the exact name its in "boot.emmc.win" and flash it exactly as it is since it works perfectly fine.
Renaming won't mess up the kernel file .....that's all same
Just since people are familiar with the boot.img terminology I have put that....

Thanks for you reply. Yes I am on Jb, but even a JB like the MIUI doesnt work. I can flash only a stock rom. What is the latest recovery tool?
I got the Philz Touch 6 v6.0.4.7. Is this right, or do I need another one? When I flash a custom rom I get always a message like access denied E:\data, and so on.
thanks
Whats ur hboot version?

Ok, no I made the OTA to 4.4.2. I flash the stock recovery and everthing works now. i flash the openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.0-zaracl.img, and when I try to make a backup, it says E: unable to mount for a couple of times, that was also the problem bevore. Each rom which i try to flash start good, and ends in these errors.
I have the Zara UL version, I cant find a new version of the twrp.
what else can I try?
thanks
Edit
it is unlocked, but above is writte tempered. By the way E: means the internal storage?

sorry my mistake. First I was on jb with hboot 220, then I tried to flash any jj rom without success.
I flashed again the stock recovery, bootet on jb and made the update on kk over OTA. I still have hboot 220, and kk starts fine. but for example if I would like to make a backup (openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-zaracl.img) I just get a lot of errors like E: unable to mount /data and so on.
This error was from the beginning on, and I could never flash any custom rom neither jb or kk roms. It seems that I can run kk with an hboot 220?, which supposed to be 222?
I am a bit confused...), but thanks for your help..
2.20 is jb i suggest that u wipe cache and dalvik-cache then flash a stock rom and kernel for jb where i provided the link then reboot. if it goes well, then u can make a backup via twrp

I did it, and now finally I have the hboot 2.22, but now i cant flash any kk rom again, and even the way back as shows your link above doesnt work anymore.
Just to know what I am trying to do. With the syntax fastboot flash boot boot_initd.img and the file of the jb, I would have again hboot 220, and with the file of kk, hboot222? I can try to flash what I want, the hboot remains 222.
C:\desire601\Android SDK tools>fastboot flash boot boot_initd.img
sending 'boot' (6170 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.957s]
writing 'boot'...
OKAY [ 1.835s]
finished. total time: 2.794s
the only thing which is working now, its to get on the bootloader
thanks
