Well, I shall say goodbye to the One X+ community. After a string of things breaking in my life the last two weeks I finally broke my phone too.

Looks like Ill be rocking my old Captivate until the Google Galaxy S4 comes out.
Honestly I can't say ill miss the X+, I loved my Hero and was very disappointed in the accessories for the X+ and the performance, though the LTE speed was awesome.
is it just the touch screen shattered?

Yes, the phone still works. Its such a "rare" phone none of the local screen replacement places have anything for it and won't touch it.

Its not worth $200. I would rather use my Captivate until something new comes along. Besides I can finally have CM10 back.
I'm impressed you managed to break it lol, I've dropped mine several times and the screen is still going strong.
Looks like broken with the hammer.

I'm so sorry for you
Doesn't the screen from the AT&T HOX fit?
rare phone?? the one x display is the same as one x + display and its quite popular!

I thought ics was not supposed to have dedicated capacitive buttons, however most of the mockups seem to have this. If that part of the phone is changed to additional screen size, or better yet outright removed, it's a totally different experience.

face palm.
also, what are they supposed to do with a phone who's hardware was not built around ICS? is the UI supposed to have buttons built into it on top of the buttons on your EVO 3D? seriously man, come on.
Can someone please close this thread. From lame to super lame in four posts.
Fun fact: adding on screen buttons to a 4.5 inch device leaves you with about 4.3 inches of extra space.
So unless you are going to go crazy without an extra fifth of an inch when the on screen buttons are off, you shouldn't worry about it.

Ice doesn't mandate on screen buttons... Manufacturers have an option of implementing it if they wish to

Regardless I think honestly some people take this too seriously sometimes, its not like HTC is reading your txts to tell your girlfriend that your cheated on her with a fat chick last christmas

Privacy should always be a concern. You never know how anything will be used against you these days. All you have to do is one thing the powers that be don't like and they will dig everything up and these days they can put you away with no representation for no reason what so ever. Complacency is the road to lack of freedom.

Why use this when you could simply transfer a sim card between devices? I guess I really don't get it.

Does a sim card carry all data? Being on the CDMA side of things I really have no idea of the answer to this question.
To me, this seems like a wonderful idea. I would definitely buy it. HTC should make a version of the Pad that is compatible with the EVO LTE (not likely but one can dream, right?).
I personally love the idea behind the padfone. Curious to see how it works out In the real world.

Yeah right, apple said samsung is copy cat but better...pardon me...BEST! I really love my s3. It's a beast. ))
Battery life is amazing. I don't think there is another Android phone out there with battery life as good as the S3.
It is the easiest phone to root that I have ever had, very simple and no need to downgrade or any other easing about. It's as simple as installing software connecting to a computer and pressing a button

I'm looking to replace the back cover, housing, and whatever this circled portion is called. Anyone know? I've looked at the mid-frame and it's not it. The raised lip of it.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Oh maybe I read it wrong. I thought it was actually apart of the digitizer, and those aren't looking pocket friendly.
Yeah I was looking at getting a broken one and fixing it but passed on it. I got my note for $225. Already unlocked, in the box. Could use a back cover, the housing. The phone looks great, but I'm just picky.
Ah crap. Looks like I'll have the remove the screen from that section via a heat gun. Oh well.
Yea that's a pretty good deal......and for the housing part.....getting that digitizer separated is going to be a b***h even with a heat gun.....
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Yeah it wasn't too bad. Since I plan on keeping this one, I'll most likely just get a a case for it and call it a day.
