hi, im new here,, but anyways i have this sprint evo 4g that was rooted and flashed to verizon prepaid,, and was working good but i wanted to try a custom rom, so i installed/flash mikg rom to it,, and noticed my signal went down 2 bars,,,, i called the verizon number to update prl,, and now its stuck roaming with non data connection, anyone got any idea how to fix this,, i tried reinstalling the rom no luck.. any help really appreciated thanks

First things first though, did you wipe completely (wipe ALL data)?
No sir they don't even come on they just read error. I didn't wipe because it was fresh out of the box.

Also what's weird is before on my other evo 3d kernels would flash it doesn't seem to be working for my new one I looked under software the kernel says HTC..... .

I got it i went through fastboot instead of rom manager and flashed a new kernel and its working now

I just achieved root after having a long talk with myself about how stupid i am for accepting the update so know im rooted again =)
WITH THAT BEING SAID ..
i really wanted to ask all the xda users how cm10 has been working out for them so far and anything special that should be done or flashed over when attempting to use this rom (such as gps stuff or anything like that) im kinda a noob but i have used cyanogen mod before on my first evo and nexus s 4g and loved the layout and like how different it is from the other roms :laugh
any feedback is defiantly helpful and eill be appreciated :victory:
I suggest after a full wipe that you factory reset, I have less trouble when I flash a different ROM if I factory reset. Also I've had trouble with location being absurdly inaccurate, if you go to app settings and clear data on network location and clear maps cache it should reset. If you want to use a different launcher either remove trebuchet or freeze it in titanium back up. Also in network settings switching to cdma /evdo helps if you have any signal issues.

I seem to have an issue with the radio/antenna on my EVO LTE- I am surrounded by towers that have LTE service but rarely ever get it and my 3G speeds avg between 8kpbs-250kbps.
I've updated profiles, reset msids, factory reset..etc etc ..to no avail.
So here is my question.
I'm Rooted and running Viper4G_2+- I have a nadroid backup with everything set just the way i like it. If I unroot my phone, flash a stock rom and exchange for a new device, can I root my new device, flash the Viper ROM and then nan restore? Or will it not work because its a new phone alltogether?
I want to do this ASAP cuz im sick and tired of not having any service but need to get anwers first. Thanks a million!

Hi,
I recently upgraded my ROM to HyperDrive which has been working great. I have attached an image of my specs... During the last few months I've seen my phone connect more and more to 3G instead of 4G, now just recently my phone no longer connects to any 4G at all even if I'm right next to the tower. Does any one have any ideas? I'm thinking it could be a localized problem with perhaps some of the towers, but I want to check everything on my end.
Also I was thinking about upgrading my Radio to see if that might help, my question is based on the information that I've provided with the attached image should I be able to upgrade my radio without having to wipe any data, or loose root? I've also wanted to upgrade to HyperDrive 10.2 but if I upgrade will that wipe my data too?

Check your mobile network settings.should be able to dirty flash 10.2 and not loose your settings. But you could always use tibu then restore.

Here is what happened. I was on Viper rom and I flashed Paranoid Android and that was just to not sense for me. So I went to flash back to Viper and it just roams. NO SERVICE! So I reflashed, no dice. So I tried another sense rom a stock one rooted nothing. I relocked my bloader and flashed old hboot per .torrent thread and radio and recovery, I then factory reset from stock recovery per a post I saw by .torrent waited and nothing! My verizon sim works fine in my nexus and galaxy S3 but dna just roams. I tried swithching off and on airplane mode tried switching it to cdma everytime and just get the little triangle that mean its trying to roam. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

Hey man, sorry to hi-jack your thread, but I've been having nearly the exact same issues as you. I flashed the 11/27 of CM10.2 which messed up my radio I guess, tried to rol back to my backup of the Sense 5 ROM by Newt, still had a borked radio. Anyone out there that can help us? For me, only cellular data doesn't work, wifi, and LTE oddly work, just can't make or receive calls or texts

TOO funny, I just jacked your thread also. Or maybe it was one of the other 5 people with the exact issue we are having. I luckily have other phones though. I am wondering why I am getting so many views and no replies. Are we experiencing a common issue with the DNA? I have only had mine about a month but starting to wish I had backed out of the deal now. I love my DNa but I have to have a phone that works! DEVS< please help solve this problem.

SOLVED, after doing the ruu I went to bootloader and did a factory reset not recovery and it worked!
