I ve a Sony xperia u...I ve tried players like mx,mobo and vlc..but none of the players can play wmv videos properly..any solution for this?????or any codec??

Try using mobo player in software decoding mode.

What resolution are you trying to play?
HD videos will definitely lag.

Try using smaller files... the default player is the best... If it lags try using apps like moboplayer, qqplayer... They are amazing.
which rom and kernel are you on?
for best performance use CM7 6.6.1 with franco's .35 kernel
use MOBO Player.It is best

Download Mx player and Mx player codec ARM v6VFP.

Friends my sola plays play 720p mp4 videos very smoothly but it can not play wmv format smoothly. Is there any mod or app to play all these videos. I have fludity overclocked rom by pulak.. Thanks
Use mx player...download it from play store it can play videos of all formats of any resolution

Already using. But not a solution. Have you tried paying 720p on mx player?
Only low resolution videos work fine pin it. Mp4 720p also work flawlessly. I have not tried avi. But wmv don't work.

Hi,
I normally use MX Player App to see 720p .mp4 videos with hardware video decoding !!
But I'm unable to see any 720p mkv with hardware video decoding!
I tried so many videos players from the play store but i'm unable to see anything!
If a change the decoding to software, the videos are choppy and audio/video desync !!
Does anyone have a similar experience ?!

Try MX player...the best player i found so far...has hw+ rendering and may play mkv files with it possibly,as i haven'ttried yet...but with sw mode...HD mkv run smooth in MX player.

Are you using ICS or GB? my Neo V can play HW decoder MKV fine in ICS using MX Player
try VLC player on market (under beta but stable), it support as many files as it does on windows. And bro, wrong section didnt u? shud post on Q&A, not general.....

BS PLAYER works great.
Mx player, and vlc. It depends on how they were encoded though.

I cant get 1080p mkvs to play smoothly and ive tried everything. These are blu ray rips using makemkv.com software. its slight stuttering around characters facial ffeatures in fast scenes. I gave up and reencode now. Dissapointed because my s3 played back the same files flawlessly.
I use dice player and haven't had any issues.
I'm using Xperia u devswift1 jb v6 full from yesterday onwards I'm unable,to play 720 pix video from movies app 620 pix is playing fine and all videos can be play using mx player plz help me

check the video file extension, if its .mp4 it can be played using stock video player
if its flv,vob etc it cannot be played
we must use apps like mx player,QQ player....
Frnd it's 720 pixel video earlier it was playing without fail but now video cannot be played
