Each ROM is different, each has its own pros and cons. No ROM is 'best'. Everything depends upon the user.
Some ROMs may be very fast but would eat up the battery.. Some others may be a more balanced one.

because some developers have been unsuccessful while trying to port it.
Stock camera is part of Touchwiz framework and will not work without it.
However, The folks at galaxy Siii somehow managed to port their stock camera for Aosp based Roms

Are any of the Touchwiz based Roms as fast and snappy as AOSP based ROMs?
I love AOSP speed but missing features keeps me going back to T/Wiz then lag sends me back to AOSP etc etc etc
Thanks

I assume who has more does not matter, it matters for him what he wants and AOSP does not have Samsung's features.

Thanks for the replies, the main problem was not being able to post pics direct to forums I go on. I may have cracked this by using chrome rather than the aosp browser but I thought that with Firefox too and this no longer works.

Cyanogenmod issue need help !!!
i recently installed the Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my GT-I9305 but after the i realized that the old storage is gone "internal storage" so it says that i am using more than 50% from it even it's a clean install meaning the old data are still there and i am not able to see them , so i went to the recovery mode and the old files and date were there and a new folder with name (0) has the new apps and data , so the question here is how can i view the old data storage so i can move them to the new one , or to view them on my computer , i am new in XDA so i couldn't post it on the Cyanogenmod forum . thanks in advance
This is not I9305 forum .
Don't hijack threads with a totally different question
Please read sticky in General section regarding storage o or just search question asked day after day .Please read all the basics before flashing anything .

I actually don't mind the Samsung s planner and the music play. I have tried many alternatives of both, but still haven't found an alternative I like better.
Im all ears if you have any suggestions for alternatives to try

Personally , I am very happy with SlimBean (AOSP) as it delivers speed and gives me all features I want. The only thing I miss is the AllShare app for my AllShare Cast Dongle. Regarding camera, the AOSP 2.6 app gives most of the Samsung TW features, for Samsung S Planner, I use the stock Google Calendar App and for Music I use Poweramp, maybe try them, Poweramp got a free version as well.
will someone extract features compatible with note 2 and post them here? thx

... considering it has a FHD screen and not HD like note 2. but who knows, maybe they're resolution adaptable. I would also be interested in the included media, like photos, music, videos that this ROM might contain.
Maybe it works

So far it doesnt look like anything will work, I imagine this is a combination of 4.3 firmware requirements and dpi issues.
Will look into other peoples attempts and see what i can find.
If its is the firmware then we won't see any of the apps for a while, until someone can mod them.
if its even possible.

This is PAC with a custom launcher and some OMNI in there. But really the best way for you to get maintainers is the other way around.
You make the ROM for a device. People like it, other device owners get jealous and port it and they maintain that port.

No thats not what im doing im looking to add the features but also make my own, for example a new multiwindows not like the one on omni but more like the one on touchwiz with a different look also ill give the rom my own icons and launcher. I am not looking to copy pac by porting all the features but to make this features better

Hi guys!
I'm currently on the 4.3.1. CM, but I'm really disappointed by the camera app as it has no HDR and the video is stuttering. Focal doesn't work for me either because it crashes a lot.
I'd like to add the original Samsung camera app, but after some research I found out, that it is not possible to add it without the TouchWiz framework.
I had a look in the ROM sections but couldn't find a ROM that has the TouchWIZ framwork combined with CM.
Maybe that isn't even possible? If so could someone point me to a fast and stable TouchWiz-based ROM as the camera is one of my main priorities on my phone.
Maybe without Touchwiz ( It's not my favorite one )
You can take : [ROM] JB 4.3 CyanogenMod 10.2 or ROM Custom JB 4.3.1 SlimRom - Galaxy'S Team
You have a galaxy i9300 or i9305 ?
My choice for i9305 a Rom SlimKat 4.4.2

Look at my signature and you will find a very good Stock 4.3 ROM ....
Also someone has ported Touchwiz camera for AOSP roms ... the video recording on that does not work but you can atleast use it for taking pictures ... and as far as the HDR goes ... well you will have to download and test it for yourself ...
