Anybody tried the cydia substrate and winterboard on the amaze? Its on the playstore
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I tried it. It's start... It's all I can say. While I love the Amaze. I don't think our phone would do such a good job at supporting it. Like Winterboard works great in AOSP ROMs but that increases the instability

Idk if any dev or other interested patron saw this, but apparently this is a MIUI based Rom but has the ability to use the sense camera mod on it

Yeah I saw this as well I think I recall seeing a few like it ... I hope we can maintain the sense camera software on a miui Rom...the best of both worlds there

How could you not like it lol.
But if it's on miui, technically it could be on any AOSP rom

I don't either. I don't want my phone to look like a iPhone. I think the interface is too Apple for me. It's the one ROM I never even give a second thought about. Most I will give a shot to.

I prefer the fluidity and customization that miui provides...image sense is the icing on the cake for me...but to each his own I suppose
Edit: however it sounds like with jelly bean coming and how smoothly it should be miui may fade into the background for me...but until then I love miui lol

Yeah I think Project Butter may even the playing field a bit. I think the customization of AOKP (or CM) plus Project Butter may win you over, haha.

Ok so apparently it's sense based miui...I wish I knew how to develop so I could attempt a similar Rom for our device

I came from the incredible to the rezound. With the incredible there was the capability to dual boot roms, so you could have a daily driver and then one to experiment with. I was wondering if anything exists for the rezound that would accomplish the same thing. Did a search and didn't find anything so I figured I would ask here. Any responses much appreciated. Thanks, Kyle.

Boot Manager works fine for Sense roms. I've heard of a lot of problems with AOSP roms though.

Is there any other app that will accomplish the same thing that is being updated? Looks like they abandoned the project.

Rom toolbox pro should do it haven't done it personally but there's the option. And their still updating.

I downloaded Rom toolbox. I can't seem to find the option though. I bought the pro version just because I had a credit and it does cut down on the apps I need. Anyway if you could point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

I used it on my past two evos and it seemed to do a pretty good job of keeping banners and ads away. On my lte I haven't noticed that it is working I still see everything as far as ads. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong.
PS: I am a cheap a*s and don't like buying apps so please keep that suggestion to a minimum because I know its coming.

Hmm it seems the PA team has open sources halo to be incorporated into any ROM. Or am I late on this news?

Well hey Eclipse. You guys in the newer models must be happy to hear that.
Sent from my Amaze 4G using xda app-developers app
Well holy crap. That halo is like so convenient. It multitasks and does everything notification wise.
I have a Nexus 4 and use PA as my main driver. Its the only redeeming quality of having a Nexus device, full support. I hang on shred of hope G2X can get Radio working on CM10.1 and Amaze get all it's bugs ironed out from HTC sources release. I don't know why they couldn't do what was done with HTC Sensation, that device has support up to the sky.
I love my old devices. Nostalgia. I bought a Sensation and going to unlock boot, flash, S=OFF, and all that good stuff then I will give it to my cousins who's been asking for an Adroid phone. Still on the fence if to part ways with the Sensation or the Amaze.

We literally have the same development as the sensation except for less ROMs we actually have a more complete cm

Try floating notifications in the play store. I did some alpha and beta testing for rob and he is a great dev and it is an awesome app.
He is still working on adding even more features but Try the tail version out to get a feel for it.

I am still thinking if getting this phone in a day or so how is this phones GPS for say geochaching and hiking?also compass say compared to the droid razr? Thks
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda app-developers app
GPS works very well especially if you are in an open area. but its slower in cities with tall building like chicago
I use it with Endomondo and it works great.
Ok thanks does the compass work good ? I am still debating between the razr and this one that's all
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda app-developers app
Yea, it all works great. I use it for hiking all the time

I think it might be the app, I did try that one and was having issues with it. Thats why i moved over to the other app, it just works alot better. The one down side is it cost 10 bucks but imo well worth it
Yah I looked on there website in the faq and it said if u are using cm there is a bug that is cms and it
Makes the app c:geo to not work right with Howard the caches from u so that makes it not very good for us
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda app-developers app
IMO, c:geo is the superior app except for the compass...it has never worked well for me on any ROM or phone. The official Geocaching app compass just works. It's just sad how much better the iOS version of the Geocaching app is. The iOS version from 2 years ago was better than the current Android version.
Doesn't really matter to me anymore though...I use a DeLorme handheld for geocaching now.
Thanks everyone I got a droid razr
Because of the battery and hdmi .
