There are many new roms coming up, guys are really doin their best to work their rom lyk charm... When a rom is released a new topic is opened, then all the questions are asked over same place ..the topic get flooded with replies.. if the creator adds up any new update to that rom then it gets really hard to find it as it has already gone several pages away..so any guy who wants to find a anything related to that particular rom, then he has to search through several pages to get it..its reallly a headache....
Soo...solution
Themer wil create a new topic for his rom and for his updates and create same name topic in q&a section for discussion... Strictly no posting of any topic related discussion in theme section...any topic related posting in theme section wil be deleted or directly moved to q&a section...
So it wil be lot more easy to find any roms and their updates
What say..?

I don't think that is what he is saying...
He is saying, create a regular Q&A topic and a dev talk topic
i really dont understand the meaning of this post but on the line difficult to find updates and all in a rom thread you can simply hit page 1 where devs of rom reserve few posts for future updates and changelog or just hit the << button if its a lot of pages and pronto u get your updates and as for the Q&A goes it just helps us to instantly look upon reviews of the rom and any bugs faced by anyone in the same thread instead of multiple threads... am not criticizing the OP here just a thought

I understand what he meant but he introduced his idea with a problem which is not a problem at all...any dev will make updates on the 1st post, wich is easiest to find

Seriously? Are you taking the piss?
Have you even bothered to search or read ANY of the sticky topics or guides?
OBVIOUSLY people would have asked this question before and it been answered already, go and read and stop been lazy expecting it to come to you.
That may sound harsh but believe me you will learn better if you take your time and research instead of asking silly questions like "er how do I flash android?"
PS. This is a "development" forum not a "questions" forum, go to Q&A!
[EDIT] @ mods , wait a sec, how was it even possible this user was able to post a topic in here with a post count of 0 and join date of may 2011?
Released now fixes the lag problem with gingerbread roms!!!!

Correct posting location = Apps & Themes... just sayin..
Thank you for the newsflash though.
That's great. Shouldn't this be in themes and apps not development?
A rom called "pandora" and an update for it, where is the change log?
*shakes head* I guess common sense really is dead. That's a real shame!
Awesome thanks!

Yeap,
Right now, running great...Now when I get home time to remove the skip limit.
Oh yeah, to the OP, thanks for the info but facepalm as to the section you posted it in.
is a full wipe needed? what kernel does it come with....
So before you all decide to keep flaming me for posting in this thread, check my post history I am fully aware of what the different forums are for as a matter of fact I posted a Question this morning in the Q&A Forum.
This is a universal problem across ALL ROMs and has been discussed in EVERY single ginger bread based ROM in this forum, and as such I felt it was the appropriate place to get as much dissemenation as possible. Please don't insult my common sense as I assure you I have plenty of it.
As for the quote of "Pandora ROM" I'm pretty sure my post was NOT entitled [ROM] or [Kernel] or [Mod] so give me some credit there... If someone who Moderates these forums thinks there is a better place for it feel free to move it, but the reality is I was trying to help as many people as possible, I didnt post something that says, "Excuse me how do I do an hboot or flash a ROM" I posted a universally applicable piece of information.
Have a fantastic day and for all of you flaming me enjoy your Pandora now that you know the fix has been released (even though it was posted in this forum)
Cheers.
Well I appreciate the info, updating now, thanks. And you had to know you would get sh*t on for posting it here. I'm glad you did as I don't search the other forums often.

same reason I did post it here!
Regardless of the reason it is still the wrong forum. Explain it however makes you feel warm and fuzzy but this is the development forum and a market app update is not development. Just saying.
Also if people didn't see it in the Themes & Apps forum they would have seen it when they loaded the market and saw there was an update available.
I could give two ****s where its posted. I'm glad I seen it cause I normally just browse my favorite threads.
Thanks again to the OP.
That's what moderators are for, just move it and be done with it already...

All 47 posts? Good job. Post in the right section next time. If you read the dev section requirements and rules, you would understand. And as for the tool who said thats what mods are for, mods are here for tools like you do they can kick you in the face with the BAN BOOT.
Thanks!

I see no problem with this thread, has been created with the upmost decency towards the creator of the app.
There are really a lot of great apps/mods/software that don't SPECIFICALLY come to our native threads.
If you look under XDA android/software development, software hacking and other forums there, you can find many great utilities like this.

This may be the answer: rules
When I say this might be against the rules, I mean here. I could be wrong
I wasn't sure where to post, but here did seem relevant, for the reason as its a "developing (kinda) app, that's currently under develeopment which is a modification (kinda) of a Rom, and as the rules state, I'm not posting this as something "i" created, remember this is a brand new app and is under development , go over to the op, and give him suggestions or requests on his thread, , now you know about it, , and let this thread just fall to the bitten , or over to page 2, but still be searchable, rather than jumping on me , as it were (kinda), I do understand the. Rules after receiving an infraction for a little joke thread I made about a certain troll, being ridiculous, I like it and respect the rules and wish to remain here, so if this post has offended you, I'm sorry, simply , report it, and move on,

Totally agree with those rules, this is in the wrong place.
However as development is probably the most read thread, if mistakenly posting here encourages others to browse themes and apps, instead of posting in development : "whens the next update, i need to flash", this is no terribly bad thing.
moved to general as you were not the creator. I have no problem with posting things you find on xda as not everyone searches around but please do not post in development as unless u create it it doesnt go there

Thanks for posting I've updated it to include a build prop editor, still working on more features.
Does anyone has some information about cyanogenmod on desire x? I am used to this rom from my older phone and personaly, I love it but i couldnt find anything on CM site, doesnt anyone know more than me?
First we need some skilled owner of this device (as I read thorough some threads its very difficult to build it) maybe after jelly bean update the credit of this device will rise and builders will come

How are you posting in Dev forum when you clearly havent even gathered the "10" thanks and clearly dont know the forum rules.
Anyways, for your question:
CM10 wont be much difficult once the device tree works. it works for recoveries, so some sorting out of vendor files and device make files should be enough to get it booting, but it requires dedicated time which is very difficult for me with my job and home tasks. If some other dev joins forces, i'm willing to help him as much as i can.

I think forum xda is dead, they don't listen to any request in the link for New thread request.
Forget it, they won't create even a subforum and lock this thread. This is what they know to do the easy way
Here is the link which might be helpful for us -

We can also try in Modaco or HTC Mania. Hope they listen to our request

We don't respond only because you are asking at the wrong place, there is a thread in the General forum which is the place to ask
And I also have seen a few members who own the dual sim variant asking there, so be patient...
Forums are not created for 10 20 users. They see the phone popularity and predict whether there is going to be development or not. Desire x has slow dev, so forget dual SIM dev
