my phone is st25i , when i flash with stock rom 54/89 everything works fine, but if i flash with fxp216 or any rom based on cm9.1 , the wifi cant work normally, it can connet to ap, but when i want to surf the internet it stuck. so i try to flash with fxp220 , the buttom switch of wifi of setup menu is dark, only BT buttom can be switched on , i guess the problem is there is bad blocks in the emmc, so can anyone tell me how to fix the problem , tks a lot

I had the same wifi freezing issue in my galaxy S2 i9100..at first i simply cant turn on the wifi..i have tried all options mentioned here..finally i came to know the heat related issue that burned the register across wifi chip and bla bla..i have no wifi in my s2 for a month..last week i managed to dual boot my s2..surprisingly follwing things happened..
1.I can turn on the wifi only when battery level is below 10%..then it continues to work
2.Every morning i woke up it cant be turned on..and i tried to discharge the battery to below 10 % and then it connects..
3.Wifi only connects on Resurrection Remix ROM but not on Stock ICs which is my secondary Rom
4.If it is hardware issue..then why it connects now.

Can someone helps me about this issue..why wifi connectivity is related to battery level and only connects to RR remix ROM??

Flash another Kernel or at least the same one again!
Wifi probs are most time related to kernel.

i have same kernel in my secondary ROM..but while booting stock ICS ( secondary ROM with same kernel) i even cant turn on the wifi..

WiFi,BT,Radio Error
i tried every stock rom
6.0.b.1.564
6.0.b.3.184
6.1.b.1.154
unofficial jp 6.2.a.0.400
no fix
on gb i got error on wifi no work for bt and radio
on ics and jp i can't turn on bt and radio and when i turn on WiFi i got bootloop (some times it worked the after reboot i got bootloop)
after two weeks of work on this problem
i got very bad fix on gb rom 6.0.b.3.184 with sspeed kernel v3 and wifi module
steps for fix every time i want to use bt and wifi and radio
1- reboot into recovery
2- wip battery state
3- fix permissions
4- reboot into system
5- turn on BT first and wait for the BT to turn on (it may tak a minute)
6- then i turn on wifi and radio they work very fine
i need to do this steps every time i need to turn on wifi even i let it on after reboot it will off automaticly
so please hep me for better fix way

Trying to get help about Samsung Galaxy S3 unrooted with custum rom (Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 KitKat) , after installing a custom kitkat rom my wifi seems to be not working.
Finding my own home wifi station pressing to connect it shows: Connecting... and then Saved. I cant connect. Singal from full went only to 1 ! Even when i'm standing near my router.
Sometimes it shows "Obtaining IP Adress..." but still gets back to "Saved" .
Any solutions? Waiting.
EDIT: Done factory and cache wipes! Nothing changed.
if you got a custom rom ,then your phone is rooted . My advice is when you flash a rom read something about it what is good and what is not .
Try to flash a stock rom or other rom to check your wi fi connection ( make sure isn't your wifi router also) if problem persist then is related to hardware.
Actually i read what is good and bad. But in this custom rom doesnt anyone said about wifi connections anything..
Im having a strnge issues these days ..i have notice wifi acting weird on custom roms /custom kernels. On stock miui wifi connects perfectly when ever i move to other custom roms im facing bit odd things to my wifi ..it just shows saved not connected .in official RR it does . even if i flash any kernel wifi having that issue .i try to flash persist .img from dev rom ..prob still is there. Any idea how to fix my wifi.

restart your modem. your wifi ssid is hidden ?
Use static connections, in advanced settings of your wifi setup. I use static, somehow dhcp does not work for me
so i think i ****ed up pretty BAD i flashed first a lineage OS android 6.0 and because of problems with stability i change it for omni rom android 5.1 and worked well, but the wifi doesnt work and hotspot(which i use alot cause i have a tablet and no wifi), so at the time i was thinking that was because a param file i flashed (eliminated the L in i8190L in power on), so i downloaded another a flashed that, somehow TWRP recovery (ver 2.8.0.0) doesnt start, and the download mode doesnt work, the phone works fine and does everything my data works fine and searches fine, only the usb hotspot works (which im using right now btw), so i dont know how to either recover the download mode to flash again the recovery or another option that doesnt require flashing my phone risking to brick the **** out of it. PLS HELP
