[Q] Recommend me a custom rom - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I am known with rooting etc. I had a HTC One X. Today i got a Galaxy s3. Could you recommend me a rom?
I know the difference between the AOKP, AOSP and CM roms, but which one are you using and why?
A couple things i want:
- good battery life
- quickness/smoothness
- good connectivity
For me a balance between batterylife and smoothness is important.
Thanks.

Jesus, what's with you guys lately?

Sorry it's no best rom thread. Only a thread for me to know which rom other users are using. I don't ask for the best rom.

Sure. Pretty obvious.
You ask for specific characteristics and this is not a 'best rom' thread.

[Q] Which Rom + Why

Hi,
Which ROM do you use, and why?
Op please read the rules on asking about best roms.
It's best to look at the available stock and custom roms and pick the one that suits your needs.

>>>Do NOT post threads asking which the best ROM or kernel is Guys,
There has been so many "Which is the best ROM?" and "Which is the best kernel?" threads lately.
This is a reminder.. these kind of threads are NOT allowed.
Why are they not allowed? Well because that the best rom and kernel for me might be the worst for someone else. It's subjective. It's like asking who the hottest girl in the world is. Or which sports car is the best. If you ask 100 people you will get 100 different answers.
The best advice is to try them all and figure out which one is best for YOU and YOUR needs. Not based on what's best for someone else.
I have just been closing these threads but I'm going to start to hand out official warnings if it continues.

lol dude if id meant it to be what rom is best rom id have asked that, i did not originaly ask that either, was more of a general why people pick certain roms, im a big paranoid android fan so will probably got for that, but thats my opinion.
I do however understand the reason for not wanting these threads, remove it if need be.
I have to be honest, questions like these seem so similar with the "best rom" question.. but nevertheless it is a "different" question. Seems more of a canvas of what everyone's using. I mean no disrespect/flame.
To respect your thread, i am still on ARHD V14.. I am too lazy to update it to V15

As it goes, the "best rom" may not have been your intentions, but believe me it will turn out to be that.

best and stable 4.2.1 ROM for S3 ?

hi guys
which is the best 4.2.1 ROM stable and with ton of features according to you?
Please read the forum rules - no best rom threads!
Well, there has been only two 4.2.1 ports to s3 and one of them is paused. The other one is Cm10.1, so go with it. If there's other 4.2 roms they are build from Cm source.

Thanks jje - knew I was right. If users see such threads how do we report them to mods like yourselves. Can't see a facility on the app?

[Q] Best ROM

so lurking around the section and it seems no one has asked the question, "whats the best ROM for our phone" as we all know we're stuck with just modified stock ROMs, but out of all, Nocturnal, The Base, etc.
who has the best out of stability and battery life? what would you recommend?
is stock just as good with battery and stability?
i know it may be a mixed answer but i want some peoples opinions!
Everyone will say this is inappropriate because its based purely on opinion. Try flashing them all and then decide what features are important to you.

Ah! I guess some stuff has changed over time, back in HTC Diamond and TP2 days few members asked similar questions, thanks for this and please disregard this thread!
Sorry, no "Best ROM" threads.

Cm10 vs stock based roms?

How does performance or battery life compare?
I know there are some bugs with the camera but doesn't seem like a big deal.
- Also is there a thread that lists all kernels? I haven't been able to find one.
Please excuse my noobish ways, got this phone yesterday and psyched to mod the hell outta it
wrong section mate
What rom best rom posts are banned.
Read rom and kernel descriptions in the development threads.

Doesn't matter. Rom recommendation threads are forbidden as well. Read some rom threads & try some roms like everyone else ($100 says mods close this thread soon-ish).
"Recommendation" threads are the same deal as "best rom" threads. Sooner or later, they all snowball into arguments over someone's personal choice and opinions. Hence, we close them down.
If you do want some advice, I suggest you take a look at all the "features" of the rom. Usually, if they have any ported stuff, it'll be explicitly mentioned.
