Having trouble with bluetooth and my sg4. The bluetooth pairs fine but defaults back to the phone speaker when I get a call. The bluetooth headset eventually connects but it takes about 30 seconds. Anyone else having this problem?

I've seen some strange behavior widen paired with the Bluetooth in my Jeep Wrangler (UConnect) and with my Jawbone Era.
In the jeep, when I dial by name, it starts dialing, makes the connection and ends the call. If I dial from the phone, the call connects and seems to stay connected. I did a few hour-plus long conference calls where the Bluetooth connection to the jeep seemed to drop and I had to re-select the headset button on the phone app.
I haven't tried dialing by name with the jawbone, but I had one long running call where I had to reconnect to the jawbone.

I absolutely love the Titan but i think i've found a bluetooth bug that makes me want to throw it off a wall.
Try pairing your Titan to your car or bluetooth headset?
When I'm getting out of my car(s) I deactivate bluetooth or hit the button to so the audio switches back to the phone. What happens is I can still hear the person but the mic doesn't work. Anyone else have this issue? This happens about half of the time. I'm thinking its a HTC bluetooth issue.
I posted this in the WP7 thread on neogaf and someone else has found out he has the same problem. Its annoying because i'm trying to finish a conversation and all of a sudden i realize the person on the other end can't hear what I'm saying. My Focus or iPhone's never had this problem in any of my vehicles.
My titan has picked up the habit of connecting to my PC via bluetooth upon an incoming call. I switch the bluetooth to speakerphone in call several times a day; never had this issue.

You can turn off the speakerphone function on your pc by viewing bluetooth devices, right click your phone, properties, 'Services' tab, uncheck 'Headset Audio Gateway'. Now the phone will slow mute the audio to your pc and start ringing when you get a call.
Bluetooth music streaming to my ford sync nav is ALLOT better quality than my htc arrive. When it switches to voice thou... its horrible. Its like a registry setting needs to be adjusted to increase the BT call volume, not the music streaming...
I thought this was fixed in JB, but I guess not.
I've got my GS4 paired with both the car and my Jawbra headset. All works fine in either scenario, but occasionally I'm on a call using my car BT and want to switch to my headset, or visa verse. Isn't there a way to just click a button/option in phone and switch the device? Anyone found an App for that (I've been searching for hours).
I'm hoping that I'm just missing something, but I've been trying to Google and search these forums to no avail.
I can't try it but what can't you just press the headset button in the midcall menu?

That sounds like a great idea, I would love it if it worked that way. But the phone get's itself "paired and connected" to the car, and it is not connected to the Jawbone. The only thing I found to change it during the call is to turn off bluetooth, which forces a pickup on the handset. I suppoose I could try to turn BT back on, and get it to connect to the Jawbone, but that's no practical while driving and trying to pay attention to a phone conversation.
A simple pop-up with "connect to Jawbone" or "connect to car" would be nice during the call.
If you just want to you your headset to take calls and your car bt for audio, try deselecting "phone" in your bt device options on the phone.
Also I think this issue is more with the Samsung phone then with Android. My Nexus 4 was able to do just this and also allow me to take calls on my bt headset while my phone was plugged into the aux jack in my car.
Hello all.
I have a big problem with my new brand Huawei P10lite and my car, which has an android 4.4 display. Connected in bluetooth.
The car's handless speakerphone works well the first time in the day. Then, either I make or receive a call, I see the car displaying the number calling, the radio goes low, but there's no audio.
The telephone callling screen displays it's connected to earplugs (!) and even if I change it to bluetooth I get no audio.
In a couple of minutes the telephone turns down the bluetooth. I have to turn it on again.
And need to reboot the phone to use the car's handless speakerphone again.
Anyone could help?
Thank you in advance
Hi, I have a problem with my Mate 10 Pro. Every time I use my car's Bluetooth, I can't hear voice on incoming calls unless I switch to the phone speaker and then again to the Bluetooth system. The same goes for music as sometimes it switches randomly to the phone speaker and then I have to disconnect a2dp in my car and connect again. This is really annoying and frustrating. Any ideas how to solve this? Never had any Bluetooth problems with my previous phones.
After a successful bluetooth connection (Audi Q8), the call sound is not from the car by default, but I always have to manually switch it to blueooth in call settings on ZF9. Even if I select the bluetooth sound on the phone during the first call, I have to do it again during the next phone call. It also happens when I make a call through the car display.
I tried pairing again several times, changing the bluetooth name of the phone and car, unsuccessfully. The problem persists and it is quite bad.
Does anyone have a similar issue? Or an idea for a solution?
Thx
